Barret Willbert is absolutely my favorite Veronica, love her version of Dead Girl Walking, idk if they already did, but i WISH SO MUCH them to act together in heathers
As one of the people who was sleeping on Anastasia, I can confirm. I wouldn't have even listened to it if it weren't for Carrie, but I am SO GLAD I DID!
Jamie muscatos broken voice when he sings “can we not fight anymore please”…. I know the character is pretty sick and twisted but that raw emotion is so beautiful and heart wrenching
Jamie is so good. I didn't even know he existed until I heard a clip of Meant to be Yours on Instagram and I was like OOO. And of course, Aaron is always good. I also appreciate that you put the instrumental break in there from Hadestown. Nice choices. Your little comments in there made me smile because SAME!!!
Aw thanks! My friends introduced me to Meant to Be Yours and then I watched the West End boot and was HOOKED on Jamie. SO TALENTED. (And of course Aaron never fails to blow everyone and everything out of the water)
just wanna say the violin solo in all i've ever known i am 90% sure is a cello but that is definitely one of my favorite parts of hadestown, also the cello part in "flowers". it's just one more musician but it really does change everything, rly amazing
I think it is both. The main part is the violin (or at the very least a viola), but you can also hear the cello coming in and out as well and pairing with the violin.
I don't know what it is about Jeremy Jordan's voice, but it just always sounds perfect to me, like maybe it's the timbre or tone or whatever but I cannot get over how every time I hear his voice it's like he's serenading me istg.
I was lucky to see Aaron Tveit on Broadway before he left Moulin Rouge. Hearing him live is whole experience I wish I could do again. Such an incredible singer and actor! ❤️
Personally, I always get the chills at the last fragment of "Our Love is God" from Heathers, the way the voices of Veronica and JD harmonize to make a beautiful sound that at the same time gives the sense of danger is so thrilling, combined with the instrumental that turns to a more sinester sound, it's just simply perfection, it always gives me an eargasm.
Some of my favorites: just anyone singing “what Baking can do” form waitress. One time a classmate sung it and CHILLS she could be on broadway. Also another favorite is “Michael in the Bathroom” and finally Aaron in Next to Normal.. ugh brilliant. Especially in “I’m Alive” gives me chills every time
Seventeen from Heathers is my favourite eargasm. Don't forget Ramin Karimloo for Music of The Night, Darren Criss for One Hand One Heart, Aaron Tveit for the line "Lamarque is ill and fading fast. Won't last the week out, so they say", continue for Ramin in line "How long before the judgement day? Before we cut the fat down to size? Before the barricade arise?". Uggh... I talk too much 🙃
The girl singing dead girl walking had me question myself for a second. I literally was like, “well hello.” A coworker saw my face and asked what was going on. Simply theatre
I’ve been a Sierra Boggess fangirl ever since I saw her in Phantom of the Opera. I was around 15 or 16 at the time. She’s always been so freaking talented and gorgeous, I wanted to be her so bad, lol. There have been dozens of wonderful Eriks and Christine’s over the years, but her and Ramin on stage together? Oh my GOD, absolute fire. Their chemistry was _so_ unbelievable. Any time one of them performed with a different Phantom or Christine, it just felt really incomplete to me, lol.
Vocally, there are probably better Christines. But her plus ramin and her plus hadley fraser is just… wow. She and fraser give wholesome vibes, and she and ramin just have that… tension
Aaron Tveit is literally my only Broadway celeb crush. His vocals are amazing, and his acting is also top notch. I just can't explain how much I love that man.
One I love is all of Santa Fe sung by Jeremy Jordon, the man is incredible from what I’ve heard of him although granted I have not done a lot of actual looking into him or his work. By Santa Fe I mean the second one in newsies (can’t remember if it’s called reprise or not) but the version after seize the day just gives me chills the whole song.
I love the sheer amount of Aaron Tveit in this. Of course. Also can't go wrong with anything from the Last Five Years, although I think the addition of Amber Gray is necessary- ever listened to Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812? I adore Amber Gray's rendition of 'Charming', but there's also some incredible singing from Josh Groban in it (either Moscow or the Duel). Other than that? Yeah, this was an awesome compilation
there was a version here on youtube that was unfortunately taken down of jamie performing in west side story as tony, it was absolutely gorgeous and the whole cast was incredible
let me add a few: quartet and the ballet (the whole damn song) - anastasia once upon a december - (the whole song😅) -anastasia once and for all, “they think they’re running this town but this town will shut DOWN WITHOUT US” (most of the song from there on) - newsies no good deed, “nessa, dr. dillamond, fiyero… FIYEROO”- wicked dead girl walking reprise, “I WISH YOUR DAD WERE GOOD, I WISH GROWNUPS UNDERSTOOD. I WISH WE’D MET BEFOR, THEY CONVINCED YOU LIFE IS WAR. I WISH YOU’D COME WITH ME…” - heathers thank you for your time
I'm not rly into musical theatre but I recognise a lot of these and it's so cool how talented these people are to express such emotion thru both song and normal acting ^^
Ok I didn't think anyone could make as good a JD as Ryan McCartan but I've been proven wrong to my great satisfaction. Also Aaron is a God but what else is new
I'm glad I have found other weirdos that are obsessed with Aaron. I don't know when I first heard his magical voice but I know I am 37 now( honestly I think it might be like 15 years maybe more)and I will never stop. Aaron might be the only reason I would sit through and tolerate Moulin Rouge.
There was a moment in the 2001 Sweeney Todd live concert that absolutely sent my ears flying. It was George Hearn and Timothy Nolen's performance of Pretty Women and when their voices harmonized like crazy during the "blowing out their candles" part. I think that's the best performance of Pretty Women that exists on youtube. No other rendition came close.
Beautiful moments... But I missed Ramin Karimloo in this video. In my opinion he has such a beautiful voice. And I don't know how much you are into German musicals, but maybe you want to check out Jan ammann and Mark Seibert. They are excellent singers too.
you can’t be upset over there being no Ramin Karimloo in this when this is their personal compilation of eargasm moments. you can make your own and add him.
There’s something about the second, louder “okay okay” when Veronica’s telling what to do that that satisfies me as a singer and also is very much attractive to me and I can’t explain it.
I feel that Jon Matteson's part in the title track of Nerdy Prudes Must Die would fit nicely here. Will did great too, but something about Jon voice is impeccable in that musical 10/10 recommend
i’m pretty sure it’s from the musical so quartet at the ballet or once upon a december is likely a reprise! idk which one since i haven’t watched it yet but yeah
Jamie Muscato singing "Meant to be yours" just looks how i would see Anakin from Star Wars if he had to sign to Padme in Revenge of the Sith LOOOL, its hot.
I will never forget the day my show choir and I got to see Moulin Rouge in person in NYC- it changed our lives, it was definitely the best show I’ve ever seen.
Sierra Boggess nails that Think Of Me Cadenza, I’ve been learning the song and she in that video does it fluidly in a way that terrifies me (I do it kinda in the way of the movie version, compare and you’ll see the insanity)
