Arnie you are spot on about the equipment! I cannot imagine what payments on these new pieces of equipment would look like. Not to mention the variety of equipment needed to farm makes those dollars multiply beyond comprehension. Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge with us. Stay safe guys!🙏❤

The days of simple mechanical fixes, that the average farmer can do on their own equipment, is disappearing into the past. Computer modules that talk to each other are in every system. When they work properly they're the best thing since sliced bread. When they don't, it requires the operator buy diagnostic equipment and yearly software subscriptions that run into the tens of thousands of dollars per year. That on top of the normal tools used... Or use a dealer certified service tech, that charges $150 per hour to work on your new equipment. Arnie represents the older generation of self-sufficient farming. I salute you sir!

Those are huge tires! The skid stirrer ( I'm not sure if that's exactly what it's called) is really helpful with the tires. Good job stacking those tires! A hundred dollars a bag is expensive. No wonder you drive slowly so you don't waste any. Too bad that the people who make those machines don't think about the small farmers. Buying second hand makes a lot of sense. Good evening Arnie and Lynn. Watching the video for the second time. Professor Arnie I am in the front row ready to listen and learn. I can’t imagine having to take off those huge tires. Yikes. I understand the weed situation for beans and I didn’t realize how very important that fact is. And seeds cone at quite the cost for the farmer. So now with the corn rows farther apart how do you handle the weeds between the rows? So fertilizing and planting at the same time quite neat. I can’t imagine trying to afford the new farm equipment. Yay tires put up for another year. Boy I wouldn’t want to get in the way of those blades. Quite neat the way the blades work. What are the set of wheels I. The garden. Yummy chicken pot pie. Sadly, I think u r right, manufactures want big farmers to buy their big machines, chaaaching 💰 but I believe consumers want to buy from and support small farmers more. U have a wealth of knowledge, thanks for the tutorial.😊

We have the crust buster grain drill. We have some john deere equipment such as antique tractors but mostly got away from it because of the dealers in the area. Great job getting your fields planted.
