Ewetopia Farms is located in Ontario. Our operation is a large scale, registered Suffolk and Poll Dorset sheep farm combining the best of pasture and confinement to manage the flock for maximum comfort, minimal stress, and producing a consistent, very high quality product. Our focus is on providing breeding stock for sale to other sheep producers. Our goal for all our sheep is to produce high capacity, prolific ewes and well-muscled, conformationally correct rams that will improve anyone's flock. It is not about quantity but quality. We look after our sheep by keeping them healthy, properly fed, handled and treated with the respect animals deserve. A well cared for sheep will also be a more profitable sheep. All farms are different so what we do may not work for you but they may offer some insights, ideas and hopefully some humor!
Glad you got a nice break from the farm. Thanks for taking us along, fascinating cave. The young guide was awesome. What a beautiful area you have near by to visit!
Now that i could watch it all day and everyday i think its a lovely sight to see a mother licking her lambs i used to love watching them doing that darling Lynn
So many interesting places in our Province. Hidden treasures. Up in the Caledon Hills there are caves Belfountain. I have always wanted to see them. THANK EWE!!
That was a perfect day trip away from the farm. It's amazing what water can do over time, a very, very long time, but still amazing. Your tour guide was very interesting and really seemed to enjoy his work. I haven't been through many caves but I recommend the experience as something everyone should try. Being down underground when the lights are turned off is the most strange feeling. You truly get the meaning of complete darkness! Touring a cave seems best on a blazing hot day since the temperatures below ground feel great compared to outside. I guess the same could be said for a frigid day since the temperatures that far below ground are the same year round.😂😉 I hate that the rain has been so hard on your hay crops but I'm glad to see you guys get a break away from working. As always, thanks so much for taking us along! I always enjoy your Wandering Shepard excursions! Stay safe!!🙏❤
One hell of a lamb hes a beauty we had a Suffolk cross lamb years ago on a mule ewe and he was 18 pound in weight imagine carrying that around for 5 and a half months poor buggers
Of all of your Wandering Shepherds vlogs, I MAY have enjoyed this one the most. Which surprises me. I detest caves. If I had been with you, all that would have been going through my mind is, "Gosh, this would be a REALLY bad time for an earthquake."
@craigpacker7171 lol! I LOVE caves but ours are more like little holes in the ground compared to the awesome caverns in the US!😆 You would have had no problem with this one I imagine 🙂
A very cool trip to take us on! (if a wee damp and claustrophobic 😉). I enjoy these Wandering Shepherds videos as much as I do your farming ones. Thank you. 👍
Hello Arnie and Lynn. Yay. A trip with the wandering Shepherds. Love your tour guide. Was Arnie ducking a lot as you guys progressed through the cave. That river is running with a lot of force. Wouldn’t want to fall in. Scenery is always lovely. Thanks for taking us along. You made my weekend. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰😉😉😉❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Sony that the journey to the caves was a bit difficult . The story of how the caves were discovered is quite fascinating. It's too bad that those bat's are gone now, what a funny story! It looks small dark and a little scary down there. Tom's discovery of the caves sounds terrifying and exciting at the same time! A bunch of rocks held up by only a stick would have freaked me out for sure! Those caves are beautiful. The area around the caves is so lush and green. The current of the river is sooo fast, it's kind of scary to imagine riding down it. That was a beautiful view, too bad Arnie missed it! What a fun adventure that was to watch. I love your wandering shepherd videos, thank you so much for sharing it. Have a great day, see you tomorrow! ❤🐑
Thanks! The Wandering Shepherds aren't the most popular segment of our videos that's why I post them on weekends. But this is part of our farm life too!😁
OMG What a dweeb, that ewe is lucky Arnie found her wedged in the hay, it's amazing the trouble sheep get up too, i wonder if she will try that again or if she learned her lesson?
Gives a good wide angle run down. Appreciate the difficulty Lynne faced, keeping it hi level. Veterinary care could run an hour on its own, as well as lambing season. Lynne and Arnie are my favorite channel, because their operation is the most practical. Variation in pricing, weather, pasture can make cash flow difficult and variable. Creating a precarious and stressful situation with elevated Capex and financing. IOW, it's a lot of work, why increase stress with it.
Glad the rain held off this time…and the mosquitoes let you sit out on your deck to relax. ❤ good catch on spotting the sheep stuck in the hay pile…gads animals get themselves into the weirdest situations sometimes. ❤🐑
I had a mule ewe with cow teats so I milked her out 6 times a day and the silly bugger had 3 lambs at the time and in the end she went away with one as her lambs were massive and she couldn't feed two of them so we kept her again and the next year she had two lambs and no bother at all then the next year afterwards she had 4 and no bother at all
I'm glad that Arnie's pleading with the rain gods worked out. I hope he didn't have to offer too many ritual sacrifices, to get those last bales wrapped before the sky's opened up again.
Yes, he made it just in time before the downpour. Now, if only those gods would just keep the rain away a few days in a row so we can finally get done! I think they are looking for a large sacrifice this year 😆
So glad you beat the storm, Arnie! It looked like it would a regular downpour. The lambs are all growing into beautiful, sturdy ewes and rams. 💛 Have a lovely weekend! Hope it’s sunny and dry in your neck of the woods. Here we’re going up to 30+ C!😮
Good morning Arnie and Lynn. Wow. I didn’t realize how big that belt was on the baler. A race with the storm. Yikes. Way to go Arnie. Not a rapper hey Arnie. Never e er boring on the farm. You deserved a break getting done before the rain hit. Can you imagine getting stuck in the old bales. Good job finding the ewe. Your videos are fine Arnie we know you’re a hard worker along with Lynn. Get some rest. Big big hugs to you both. Marshmallows are looking good. And sheep are beautiful. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰😉😉😉❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Those are some long days, then add the stress of racing the weather, broken belts and trapped sheep! Arnie, you have earned your break and a drink or two! It sure was good that ewe was found stranded in the hay. I wouldn't have expected her to be so quiet but I guess that's in their nature to not draw attention of predators. Thanks for another great video, have a wonderful weekend and stay safe!🙏❤
Yes, she was absolutely quiet and not struggling at all. It's as if she thought she was going to get in trouble for being there and didn't want to get caught!😆
It's too bad about the rain. Hopefully you'll get the machine fixed soon Arnie! It's so cool watching the bales spin while they're wrapped. It's too bad that haying is so rough this year Arnie! Your sheep are looking so good! The dogs are pretty cute too. 45 minutes is pretty fast to do your chores, I would be slower if I tried doing them, that's for sure. That is an impressive stack of hay! I really hope that the rest of the haying season goes better for you soon. Your channel is very interesting, I love watching it and definitely let a few people know so they will watch too. Those still shots at the end were gorgeous as usual. Take care and have a great weekend! ❤🐑
