You got it the wrong way around- according to the wargaming wiki dispersion means the size of the circle in which your shells land, and sigma is the likelihood a shell will land closer to the center of that circle. Quotes from wargaming WoWs wiki: 1. "Observing the position of the surface bursts around our point of aim, we find that they fall into a roughly elliptical area in relation to the line of fire. An ellipse constructed around the dispersion area is called the dispersion ellipse." 2. "Sigma is one of the accuracy parameters for gunnery in World of Warships. It describes the tendency of a shell to land closer towards the center of aim."

The SAP perk doesn’t reduce penetration, it just shortens the detonation time, so there really isn’t a downside. You will still pen all ship just like you did before, you will just have a lot less over pens.

The torpedo upgrade makes the torpedos slightly faster (2 knots) and reduces the range to 10km. If you dont upgrade them the torpedos have a 12km range which means you have over 2 kilometers to stealth torpedo people with a HEAVY CRUISER

She is like British cruiser, smoke + sneaky, with HE and plane, definitely going to get it!

American Torp Reduction, Highest at 4 % IJN highest 16 % (Atago) RN highest 4% Germany highest 10 % France highest 16% (Charles Martel) Russia worst of any line at 0 % Therefore at T-VI the Zara at 19% has the highest torp reduction of any CA at any tier! (GOOD JOB!)

The Legend's skill does not include the main advantages of SAP, which include almost never ricocheting and never over-penetrating (the legend skill cuts down fuse time but it is still possible to over pen a DD). It also does much more damage than AP and without it the Italians suffer from very sub par DPM compared to other cruisers. The Italians right now don't have any of their main appeals including rolling smoke and SAP. The only other thing the Italians excel at is speed but if you want that just go for the French since they do it better. At the moment I would not recommend the Italians in the state that they are in they lack DPM and overall uniqueness, the AP is unreliable compared to other nations as the Italians were built around SAP and without their main shell their performance lacks severely. I would recommend literally any other cruiser over the Italians right now as the Italians have nothing special to offer and anything they can do another nation can do better. Long reload but good DPM and concealment? IJN... reliable shells and utility? USN.... Tough armor and generally well rounded? Germans... good DPM, speed and smoke? British.... Long range and easy to aim shots? Russians... best speed, great for kiting? French... there's nothing the Italians have that other nations don't already have and already do better at. Until rolling smoke (which is confirmed to come and SAP (which for some reason they are on the fence about) get implemented... until then just go play another cruiser line, and let these ships sit in your port just like their navy in real life who's only purpose in life was to serve as a war trophy.

Concelment is definitely a strong point, you can get it even lower! Overall, Italian cruisers seems decent 👍

The 203/53 Ansaldo 1927 is a model, with improvements over the previous 1924. The 53 is part of the modification, it does not refer to a caliber. 203 refers to the caliber, it is an 8" gun. It is like modern US weapons and the "block" numbers.

Unfortunately we didn't get the special shells that the PC players get with the Italian line.

I think the accuracy penalty on the SAP perk (Subtle Manipulations) is why a lot of people avoid it. IMO, it feels unnecessary, as SM simply changes the characteristics of the Italian AP shells and is not an outright improvement. Case in point, you overpenetrated that Dallas early in the match but later got 4 citadels on that Myoko. American light cruisers have thin side armor whereas Japanese heavy cruisers have thick side armor (by cruiser standards). If you were using the SM perk, you would have probably citadel'd the Dallas and then got several nonpenetrations on the Myoko, but you would have also had to deal with reduced accuracy. I hope they remove the accuracy drop on the SM perk in the future because it seems like you lose more than you gain right now. A lightning strike fried my PS4 last Monday, but I hope to jump back into Legends in the mext day or so once my replacement is delivered and I get all of my games downloaded again.

Spartan keep in mind before you make permanent camo, it appears that whichever ship you have loaded while making the camo is the only ship that has access to said camo, so me making a dumb mistake I have 7 different types of permanent camo for my Iowa and nothing else XD

The SAP skill is pretty mean against cruisers but you may as well be firing blanks at battleships. And the dispersion drawback commits comical groupings occasionally but I have had very little issues with it. As for the fighter it's tissue paper most of the time it gets coughed on and explodes.

When I saw the turning circle for the Zara was 580m I immediately set mine up with both turning mods and put the survivability commander on with the turning perks. I now have its rudder shift down to 3.5 seconds and it turns like a destroyer. xD

Got her as my first Italian cruiser. She's not bad but her reload and gun turn time is rather painful which is why I have Madden as my second inspiration. I do however feel she needs the target acquisition due to her lack of sonar at tier 6 so torpedo boats are very scary.

Ballistics wise the faster muzzle velocity of these guns is an attribute of the 53 caliber barrels. As for why the range is not very good im guessing those shells are heavier than average 8 inch shells. Perhaps we are looking at a miniature baltimore style of ship.

Oh yes! I’ve been curious how the Italian CLS will perform considering what they’re missing... Ok! So they seem like bigger, almost even _better_ British cruisers. Dang maybe I should’ve waited before grinding.

Torp upgrade does in fact reduces range, and the second best cruiser in the game is the charles martel with 16% torp protection

Looks like Subtle Manipulations should let your AP absolutely murder DD's and broadside Cruisers, especially those with no armor but will be useless against anything else. Maybe you'll get some damage on thin superstructures but against BBs, HE will likely be the only use full ammo if you run that perk.

Boy, WG was not kidding on the altered drop rate. It took 6 crates for me to get all 4 French DD's; this time I have opened over a dozen crates and only have the Tier III Italian cruiser.

I got tier 3 and 4 I did all the missions for them and have the leftover doubloons for them is there anyway I can get 50 more doubloons without spending money irl?

I also run punch through for now I tested the new skill on the lower ships maybe its better on the tier 6 well have to wait and see

I got the Zara with my first Italian crate, but been having issues figuring out how to play it effectively. The slow turret traverse and short range are issues, but in hoping this video helps me figure it out!

Italian CC are quite equal to French CC's but French ships shoots Good Hot Baguettes but italian shoots "Meh" Pasta. But I guess being good with french CC's is a good thing for this Pasta CC's. Smoke + Plane is the combo on this ship btw

Definitely needed a xtra turret in the rear or front , and a bit off a bugger with no sonar , but over all not a bad ship

Spartan, with the Fixated perk you were asking how it works, for cruisers both Stat buffs apply not just one.

Be careful with the camos. If you go into a ship's details and make a permanent camo, IT IS ONLY FOR THAT SHIP! A newly made perma camo is not transferable to another ship. at level 4 it has the 4.5% buffs.

I paddled one in my Iowa yesterday, they were slightly angled about 9 km away and i dev struck em.

I have never been less interested in a line of ships.

The higher value of sigma means the shells have a higher chance of landing in the center of its dispersion field. I don't know about that shell velocity though. Also that HE......yay for my Battleship......

That Zara is sadly going to powerkrept fast! The good bonuses of the Italians are gone. No Semi-AP and no fuel smoke. It'll be interesting at least to see the Amalfi in game. Lol Yea i ran into u yesterday playing this. I killed u in my iowa. I have zara to and im slowly warming up to italian cruisers. Not have sonar sucks and the long reloads and slow turret traverse takes time to get used to but she is a good ship and can citadel battleships if u know where to shoot.

I am so unbelievably disappointed that they are so far removed from PC version of IT cruisers with how dds are in Legends SAP would have been useful but no Legends team proves its incompetence once again

Funny to see that Zara is only tier 6 on consoles... On PC it's tier 7 and has a few issues, mainly due to it's poor range compared to the ships she meets.
