As Black South Africans we even know genocide joe was opposed to school intergration in america and declared that he do not wish his kids to grow up in a racial jungle and indeed the 1994 Crime Bill.
ANC 42% DA 23% MK 12% We've ended the 30 year majority rule of the evil ANC. God heard our prayers. This is historic for us, I'm the happiest South African in the world right now. For the first time we'll have a non ANC president, accountability in the parliament, minsters from different parties. It's very exciting times ahead of us.
@@asadelmalikphd Cyril could still be president or if he gets fired for this historic loss, his current deputy will stand as a presidential candidate. After Sunday, the elections will get certified, then parliament will have 14 days to elect a president. Since the ANC doesn't have a majority in parliament, their presidential candidate will not be guaranteed a win like it used to be for the past 30 years. So my analysis for presidential candidate nominees are: Cyril-ANC John Steenhuizen-DA Duduzile Zuma(Jacob Zuma's daughter)-MK Julius Malema-EFF Hlabisa-IFP Gayton Mckenzie (Our Donald Trump)-PA Herman Mashaba-ActionSA Mmusi Maimane-BOSA Who the parliament votes for will depend on the coalition-talks that the ANC will have with their preferred coalition partner, then in parliament they'll vote for a president that they agreed on. So I'm praying that it's not an ANC president. The ANC is a cancer to our country!
I just came back from voting as a young person I saw my peers and I was happy we were majority in the line. I stood there 3hrs and I didn't even feel it. We were laugh loud as well😂😂😂
Let's hope and pray that whoever wins this election, they are for the people of SA, and they're ready to make some positive changes. In the meantime, you guys keep the laughs coming. Much blessings and Ubuntu!
From the River to the Sea... Am so proud of my country and so grateful we find nothing wrong with religion. Someone said something on my Facebook comments about "Muslims" I truly asked the question "what does that have to do with anything?" then it hit me religion takes centre stage outside in the world I was so mad.
The DA does partially has former apartheid members and lieutenants. But the ANC also took in a lot of them too and some even served in government as Members of Parliament etc.
Louder for the people in the back please!!! For example, Our Mayor, no sir, he's not of that era and is doing one helluva job. At the tender age of 37,he is making things happen here in Cape Town hence the word "semi-gration". And just like the Anc, we just want the old people to go retire and enjoy their final days but noooo. I was told by an old prominent jewish businessman, who told me in no uncertain terms that he will always vote Anc because he is being looked after. 😅 Politics hey 😅 P. S the DA lost majority of the coloured vote because of their pro israel stance. This is a Cape Malay Cape Town after all!!! 🇿🇦🇵🇸❤️
The correct history of DA is that it was PFP(Progressive Federal Party) it had a single member who was opposing the National Party it changed to DP in 1989 and eventually DA in late 90s. National Party was the apartheid party that merged with ANC in 2000 you can look it up.
@FoundationalAfricanAmerican157 Yes, I do think they will stop especially now after the elections. We, the majority (black and coloured) has made sure that this stance be eradicated. Smaller parties with bigger voices got their seats and that's just the beginning of shutting this colonialist mentality down. One thing rings true to our people, is that we are united when the injustices are just too loud. So in essence, we allowed them to create a divide... Our people are finally seeing that our power lies in numbers. So it's not for them to continue causing a divide but for us to stop it. Also, I personally feel that this proganda/stigma about the Cape is mostly white should stop now when the demographics speak for themselves. Just because it's a well run province does not mean that its mostly white or that the maintenance is because of a white man. Cape Town is a community based environment, so plenty of NGOs, NPOs, ministry development etc we protest when we are extremely loud when things become unfavorable. Also, I'm not a DA supporter and can say that it's not their stance. The DA is not affiliated to Cape exit, who has that modus operandi. I can undoubtedly say the tides are turning... For the better!!! ✨
@@Eazy818 I’m talking about the people not the party. National party/ DA they’re just names. Europeans were oppressing The natives, not the party. And those Europeans still exist amongst us and there are in DA party.
Tony Leon and many many former NP members were incorporated into DA, they have a different agenda today however the point is DA is housing former NP members.
Good evening Dr Asad , maybe someday when things cool down. We need to talk about black American history, including issues such as identity. Why " go back to Africa" is so offensive. Why others long to see Africa, the pain or healing associated with that . Or did i skip the wits classes?
I absolutely love your positivity and silly sense of humour 😂. I am a SAffer who's been living overseas, UK, Middle East and Indonesia since 2008. Makes me happy to see you happy in my home country 😊. Also, SAn elections are public holidays so they can be on any day, really.
teaching kids self-defence also helps with their self-esteem, and they learn restraint, kids who know how to professionally throw hands avoid fights more.
Election day is a public holiday and they close at 9pm. I think it's on a Wednesday to encourage people to vote cause you can't do much cause it's work the next day. A Tuesday could work too I guess.
Casted our votes, this one feels a bit different, everyone packed away their apathy and are back to voting, South Africans have truly turned 2024into1994 again. We are on third day of voting, Mon & Tuesday was special votes. Given the lines & ques at voting stations, we are beyond what we have witnessed in the past 3/4 elections, something is truly happening with active citizenry and the Youth votes. The polls will be proven wrong ( no doubt ) this turnout and the patience is something else.
😂😂😂😂😂 I completely identify with your gym experience. Wonderful to know I am not alone.😂😂😂😂 The best part of my workout is a leisurely swim afterwards and the steam room. That's the workout and I come out sweating to prove it.😂😂
Restaurants tend to avoid serving pork because of muslim and some christians, but there is a huge marker for it in mzansi, there is a decent amount of people who enjoy it.
My babysitter long long ago would give me tea with tin milk and sugar after church. All the time. I love that. After seeing black people vote against their best interest here, it would be disappointing if after the apartheid history. Black or colored people would vote against themselves there.
Hey Dr Asad.. following on my previous comment, here's a suggestion, seeing that you lecture at WITS...you should propose a new tagline for Wits university....'Keep your WITS about you!'.😁😂
Why midweek election? Because if it is in a weekend no one will show up for vote. You do not mess up with South Africans' weekend, it is time for family relaxation, drinking and be merry and not playing politics. Politics are dirty and too boring for us and no time to waste for. During the week it good and a very good excuse not to go to work.
In the last local.government elections, in November 2021, elections were on Monday end of the month, South Africans turned that weekend into a long weekend, full of parties, travelling and vacation celebrating the coming of summer. Sadly, voter turn out was very low. Given that experience, I guess that the reason that they chose a day during the week.
They took Kenya' president to Tyler Perry's Studios and then to the White House were he to photos in the chair of the oval office. They had him sign a allie agreement. He doesn't know W W 3 is the game right now. 🤦🏾♂️
The worst part about the elections being on a Wednesday is that they tell us to vote where we've registered. Now in 5 years a lot happens, people move and kids go to study, thats how i couldn't vote. I moved and forgot to change my registration location 😑
Midweek is good for voters turnout., any other day will create something, for instance they could create an extra holidays and make a long weekend and go on vacation . Anyway the DA is representative and occupied the space that was left by the old apartheid National Party for instance . National Party was the main oppressor since 1924 which came apartheid laws after taking over from the English.
Hi, the party that ruled before 1994 was the National Party. They rebranded as the New National Party post apartheid. The Democratic Party formed after 1994. They then merged with the New National Party, which was the rebranded New National Party to form the Democratic Alliance. The move proved successful, because they managed to get the majority vote in the Western Cape. Some might not remember that Cape Town had an ANC mayor once.
DA liberalism is the most dangerous thing there is, Steve Biko warned us about that kind of liberals. They are there to protect ill gotten benefits Land, resources, neo liberalism, economic inequality etc
Hey guys Big fan. Not sure how to go about this but I’d like to invite you for lunch. Give you another experience/perspective of how the coloured people from the east do things. 😂
The DA is the party that represents mostly the minority which are mostly white people, coloured and Indian and some blacks considered "clever blacks" mostly cause they're part of the middle class and are doing a little better than the average black. The DA also mostly represents the Western Cape people and they're one of the biggest rivals of the ANC party but they're essentially the same the all about protecting the interests of the rich. We're voting for Action SA and EFF. The youth depends on it there are no job opportunities and education is expensive for the average South African. Hope that explains it well enough family 😂
Saturdays are for social events, voter turnout would be very poor. The DA is an alliance between the Democratic Party(founded in 1989) & the New National Party( a rebrand of the Apartheid National Party - after the National Party had formed party of the Government of National Unity (GNU) where the Apartheid president became a 2nd DP to Mandela, Thabo Mbeki being the other DP). The other part of the National Party went to Freedom Front Plus, but they formed it as early as 1994 to promote Afrikaner interests. The DA just got smart by preaching liberalism and attracting Black leaders who built their now declining black vote...because many of those Black leaders left.
Also joined gym after a million years, felt the same way, the only thing I'm interested in is raising my heart rate so I can melt away the cholesterol 🤷🏾♂️ don't care who's benching 100kgs
DA being apartheid party it's kinda true and false...DA was formed after apartheid..NAtional Party was the Apartheid party ...funny enough most of the National Party white people joined the ANC and some went to the DA..also ANC gave former Apartheid leaders positions..most of them are ambassadors of SA all over the world !!! There are few bad apples in the DA who can't let go of their racist tendencies ..but ANC has the whole squad of the National Party
It was the national party, that later became The New National party (DNP) in the 90 to early 2000 until it was absorbed by the ANC . Martinus Sculveick is it's leader and last he was a minister of tourism if memory serves
DA is not an apartheid party. During apartheid government is was called DP and was the opposition to the nationalist party. That is why it has black people. Wherever it is in power, there is service delivery. Things work. Qha!
About loadshedding, I just learned that they have revived old coal powered electricity power stations and is making a significant contribution to the national grid, thus, loadshedding has significantly been reduced. Also, a robust maintenance programme has been implemented in many power stations. The fomer white CEO, Andrea Du Ruyter left, was part of the US and EU economic hit squad that destabilises economies in the developing world, so that US and EU could generate loans to South Africa, essentially drown.South Africa in fiscal dept, so they they could get minerals for free. When you destroy the energy supply, you are essentially destroying the country's economy.. He was pushing the dishonest European Union and US agenda of green energy, in favour of abandoning coal generated energy, despite China worming South Africa not to abandon coal. South Africa was ill-advised by the West to abandon coal, while Germany was importing large quantities of coal from South Africa. Germany in an effort to secure electricity supply is building one of the largest coal electricity fired plant in Europe, essentially reinvesting in coal electricity generation. China is building a large coal plant and investing in cleaning coal.emissions to mitigate implications of climate change.
My friend from Zambia told me that they've been loadshedded and the power is being exported to SA which I think made sense African leaders can protect one another when it comes to preserving their power.
Asad I heard a real sad story from Omar Gooding whose dad was Cuba Gooding sr.Cuba sr sang in the Main Ingredient group. He came to sing in Sth Africa during 'Apartheid"and was banned when they returned to USA.Lost their livelihood. So sad.
Brother Asad & Sister Adrienne, ya'll were close with Sierra Leone but it was NIGERIA that I watched your previous video from 🤣🤣🤣 now watching this video from home in the UK 😂 Thank you for the shoutout fam ❤
Hi guys, thank you for a great show. The DA has nothing to do with the former National Party. In fact, during Apartheid the PFP was the opposition who were against Apartheid, most of the leadership in the original DA came from the PFP, so it is just an ANC talking point as it is such a diverse party.
Of course you will deny it, what else to expect. And these people have the audacity to tell South Africans not to vote for the ANC just because it a back partly but they also vote for the DA for the same reasons. No European is ruling an African country.
You might not remember that Cape Town had an ANC mayor once.
I had to check if my memory served me properly. The DP was formed in 1989, and did oppose the NP in that time. They merged post-millenium. Per Wikipedia: To this end, the DP reached a merger agreement with the NNP and the much smaller Federal Alliance (FA) in 2000. Together, they formed the Democratic Alliance. The merger was ultimately aborted, with both the NNP and FA leaving the DA. Many former NNP members remained, and the new name was kept.
MK is a life saver we didn't even know we needed. In 5 years time, the rule of the sellout ANC will be over! Starting with bi-elections as soon as next month. It's gonna be epic! MAYIBUYE! ✊🏾
During Apartheid they used to put our people at the back of the barkkie (Van) whilst they sat with their dogs in the front even during when the weather was bad.
The National Party(NP) is the official party of apartheid. After they lost the elections to Nelson Mandela's ANC in 1994, the party was officially disbanded, so they don't exist anymore. You could actually say that their members formed a new party known as the Freedom Front(FF). During the apartheid years the DA was known as the Democratic Party(DP). They were a predominantly white party during that time but they were anti apartheid, though they were much more passive about their anti apartheid stance. After 1994 they rebranded and became the DA. Many black people support them today. That's because of the failures of the ANC. South Africans have learned to look beyond skin colour. All they want is good clean governance and competent leaders, regardless of who it comes from.
We are just not into pork here and we eat goat meat when there's a ceremony of some sort because the ancestors insist on it.Doc you're so SAn it's crazy 😂,I took up membership at this nice 'red label gym chain' and I quit less than six months into it.I'd by trying to be busy there sweating and stuff but I'd always find myself wondering who'd die if I didn't set my foot in there ever again, fam I quit 🙆🏽♂️🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣.
That’s a lie, don’t believe that Dr. Asad, if that was the case why white don’t like the ANC and where are those whiyt people that joined the ANC today?
Its a public holiday and most pple shld get the time and opportunity to vote. We pride on voting and not keep anyone frm voting. So i thnk we hve a different culture regarding voting... hope u guys enjyed the day off... and glad u experiencing it here..... keep the vids coming...❤❤❤
