Love how beautiful it is there in the background.. people in rural areas are very simple and happy because of the lifestyle and the community.. You will almost always find friendly caring people in small towns in rural areas.. they depend on each other for help and for socializing.. Your lady worries about you!! was awesome to see her get you something better to sit on and to see her bragging about you in the background of one of the scenes.. I think lots of people yearn for the simple life again... some of us have it semi simple.. I find it great that the Chinese still value the family as a whole unlike America where it seems that has been kicked aside. There doesn't seem to be this overall theme of the need for things or possessions there either.. I am not sure what it is really like in that area but perhaps a video upon that would be good. I still have to work on going back and watching your previous works. Thank you for the glimpses into your personal life and the content you are producing... It is refreshing to see the otherside of things.. I do not like the tourist type Vlogs... they do not show the true picture of a place, people, or culture.. I like the way your fiancee dresses, so modest and conservative, she is wearing a dress that covers everything from neck to below the knees and she has her hair pinned up. No crazy colors running through her hair, no weave, no make-up no tattoos, no facial piercings...etc This is such a stark contrast to your average modern Westernized woman who, more often than not, leaves little to the imagination.

Mike, it's happy to see that there are Cameroonian like you who can be accepted by the Chinese side of the family and celebrate Chinese New Year all together in such a nice looking rural area. I'm a Chinese that had been studying abroad for eight years or more, I was only able to visit back for once, four years ago in the summer. It's a complex feeling seeing someone who isn't from China that is pretty much more experienced with Chinese culture than myself. I felt a sense of questioning on my own identity in between two countries, in the same time however I also felt joy in seeing that foreigner can really be accepted in China despite the fact that the policies and public opinion aren't fully supportive to it. Growing up I alway had the dream of China becoming more open, to people, to art, to religion, to anything, and while it didn't seem like it's happening, you really give me hope. As a Chinese person, I'm really curious about your family in Cameroon, not gonna lie, I have no idea about cultures or history of Cameroon prior to knowing you, more often than not, among all the West African countries only Ghana, Nigeria and Morocco are well taught. I wonder if your fiancée can speak English well enough to communicate, if she could, I bet it's a great trip for her and the relationship as a whole to really understand each other's family tradition shared..

Mike I watch all of your videos, I envy you in many ways . I have traveled around the world and lived in many Countries. I'm retired military I have a Nice Chinese sweetheart who lives in Shanghai we've been dating for three years and are engaged as well. I had planned to visit her during the Spring Festival, and Chinese New Year but a passort mIxup and Very long processing procedure prevented me from coming . I should have no problen being able to spend more time with her , move there for the next Spring Festival and New year. your interaction and blending with the locals is legendary and very interesting. keep doing the videos you are a ambassador for the entire world spreading compassion, sincerity and showing the world that things are not aways as they seem and are quite the opposite of what we may hear or see. the people in China are Amazing . you spread tolerance , love and respect everywhere you go and to all whom you meet.

There is no relationship between black Americans, and Chinese Americans. The same thing with Asian Americans overall. They don't like black Americans period. As a 6th generation Black American born, and raised I would be hesitant to travel to China.

I like the perspective that you'll are giving about China, it reminds me of a regular African setting but with different skin colors here, but Africa has quite a visible number of young people as against Asia.
