Wolf packs are a real danger with enemy upsacling. Their default level is 5, now they were 29. (Btw, you can drink potions directly from inventory, you don't need to equip them in a quickslot first. I drink most of the situational ones from inventory: Cat, Killer Whale, Golden Oriole and any decoctions.)

Geralt saved the town of Blaviken from a band of elves led by Renfri. The battle took place in the center of town but since no one in town knew of the raid Geralt was given the name butcher of Blaviken.

The lore grows even deeper once you get to the DLCs. You may want to toss in some horse racing with your live witcher gear hunt. I don't want to spoil anything for you. Enough to say that a very important quest from one of the DLCs requires you be proficient at horse racing. There is a quest you may or may not have depending on which update you have. I can't recall whether you've already completed it or another reactor did. I don't think you have, but I may be wrong. It's a quest the devs added after the Netflix show premiered. It's based on one of the quests from the show and is good and creepy. It's called "In the Eternal Fire's Shadow". If you have it, you can trigger it by heading west of Mulbrydale to a circled area in Velen called the Devil's Pit. Speak to a terrified monk that you will find there. Have you considered playing Cyberpunk? As lore filled as the Witcher games are, so is Cyberpunk (they're from the same dev, so duh). Ciri even briefly appears in Cyberpunk, and the devs have said she will play a more key role in the sequel. Plus there's a great Netflix anime series based on prequel characters from the game. The series and the game fleshes out the lore even more just like the witcher anime did for the witcher game.

yeah, that witcher quest gots really under the skin... as someone already said, be sure to visit little girl after few days and no need to worry about Letho.

The thing is that other witcher has done this before in one of the dialogue options u didnt click on and that convinced me he was a murderer first and a witcher second.

34:51 Gaetan killed 2 people in self-defense. True. But then he murdered the entire village, men, women and children (including the little girl's family) - in their homes. These people were innocent, defenseless, knew nothing and posed no threat to him. He just went from house to house and murdered everyone. This quest nicely shows how belonging to a common social group (in this case, witchers) causes us to lower our moral standards. If Gaetan was not a witcher, but an ordinary person, no one would spare him. But because he is a witcher, a significant number of players let the murderer go free. And puts another village at risk of slaughter. I fully respect your decision, although I think it would be more appropriate to kill Gaetan. Be sure to return to the village where you left the little girl. Good luck on your path!

Lol you need to read the Witcher books. That'll give you the back story to everything you want to know. Just remember this game is the 3rd in the series and not canon to the books at all. This is pretty much fan fiction.

There is no right or wrong in this game. Its a grey area.

I think Kurt Dysart may be talking about Berengar. It's the only witcher from School of the Wolf that starts with a B that I know of. There is an unmarked quest at Kaer Morhen called 'Berengar's Blade'.
