"And if it doesn't, you'll just make up something better" this is basically confirmation that a lot of the ACTUAL events of DA2 were probably a lot darker than varric told us,
People were complaining that Hawke was pretty out of character since the events of Dragon Age II. Well, we should not forget that the entire events of the previous game were Varric telling a story to Cassandra. If your Hawke was sarcastic, maybe Varric elaborated on this and exaggerated it a bit, the same goes for diplomatic and aggressive. So, what if THIS is the actual Hawke we meet right here, without Varric's storytelling skills?
Drakorn - Makes sense, actually. Given Varric's talent for storytelling, it makes sense that perhaps Hawke would be a little toned down from how he was in DA2. It could also be perhaps the game creators were trying to portray Hawke as having mellowed with age a bit. If you follow the time line of the DA2, Hawke is 20 yrs old at the start, and about 30 yrs old when the game ends. And from what I understand, DA Inquisition takes place roughly 5 yrs after the events of DA2, so that would make Hawke about 35 yrs old. In fact, have to say I wouldn't have minded playing as Hawke again.
You all probably dont care but does any of you know of a trick to log back into an Instagram account..? I somehow lost the password. I love any tricks you can offer me!
Seeing Hawke like this, especially the Diplomatic Hawke, you can understand why Varric hid them from Cassandra. You really can see and feel the weight of the world pressing on them. They really couldn't have led the Inquisition regardless of what Cassandra and Lelianna believed because of their connections to Corypheus, especially the one deep connection their share with their father, Malcolm. Add the weight of knowing they couldn't stop the Mage-Templar War, Cassandra and Lelianna really had no right to ask more of them. If it weren't for us the Inquisitor, they would have died even before they entered the Veil. It's why I feel it's so important that we save Hawke from their self-sacrificing belief because frankly the world's better with Hawke in it. I only feel bad of sacrificing Alistair over Shroud or Loghain. At least one of them will have earned redemption and the other simply because of a lack of real attachment, but Alistair? Like Hawke, we need more good men to survive in the Dragon Age.
So, I did some research and Loghain, if alive at this point, would be 63. He’d redeemed himself already with his service to the Wardens in my playthrough. Alastair was king and the Hero was looking for a way to end the Calling. Having Loghain sacrifice himself to the Nightmare was the only option that made sense to me. After all, my Hawke has to redeem himself still and Bethany is a Warden as well. I’d like to see the two reunite at some point.
Considering how old he is at this point, seems like a good way to go out personally. I'm still relatively new to DA lore, but one thing I do know about a good chunk of Wardens? They'd rather go down fighting.
This what makes DA unique. Having different MCs and Different companions of different games join together. To chat. To discuss. To share their own stories and their own wisdoms. And the weight they clearly csrry even after their stories came to a conclusion.
Do you know what would be cool in Dragon Age 4? If you had different companions depending on past decisions, meaning you only had access to some characters. And wouldn’t it also be cool if Hawke could be your companion or if he/she died, the Warden character who survived? I just think that would help make the next game feel more unique and have far more replay value than the previous games.
Jake Robinson yeah, that's not gonna happen. It'd be too much effort that a large portion of the players would miss out on, depending on their choices. Cool idea, though
It isn't very good idea, at least for Hawke. All of us played different Hawkes, with different personality and fighting style. I was irritated enouth to hear Hawke's words about blood magic (because 3/5 of my Hawkes are bloodmages). What if DA4 will not have healers and bloodmages as DAI? Thousands of old DA-players may going mad...
To be a companion of the new character, the group would be very op. I am hoping some slaves will be companions and other people, maybe we get to see the warden on a side quest, a good and important side quest. The inquisitor will most likely be a main character along with your new character, but he will only be someone that talks and commands at most.
It kinda happened before in Mass-Effect Depending on your actions you could get different companies in ME 3. You could get replacements if carecters dies in Me2
Diffrence is only in the first dialogue option. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4K2tO2Jd6a4.html Here is aggressive ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4K2tO2Jd6a4.html Here is sarcastic/humoristic ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4K2tO2Jd6a4.html And here is diplomatic
You got the canon diplomatic hawke if you didnt upload your own hawke onto inquisition from the dragonagekeep. But the canon seems a little more like him as he has reasons to sound and be so depressing, lol.
I always, always play mage characters in Dragon Age. I think they have the most interesting story (although Cousland noble in DA:O is great too), and by far the most interesting playstyle. I'll happily swing a sword all day IRL, or in any number of other games. But in Dragon Age, I always find mage the most fun. I miss the combo attacks from DA:O though. Grease and fireball. Blizzard and thunderstorm. And blood magic. DA:O was the most fun, partly because it let you use all your spells, not just a tiny fraction you can fit on a wheel for quick play. Tl;dr I have actually only seen Hawke in mage armour before. I like the shoulder spikes.
The magic system in DAI pales in comparison to DAO. I’m not interested in sparkles, I want to make enemy mages fall with a Mana Clash and warriors suffocate in Death Clouds.
I don’t think they should come back. Former protagonists whom the player controlled, coming back with an AI personality, it just wouldn’t do the legends justice.

That, or the events between Dragon Age II and Inquisition hardened him more because he abandoned almost all of his friends for their own safety and has constantly been on the run since then.
how moronic bioware just didn't have money and/or time to record 3 different voice overs for a minor side character, none of this stupid explanation matters
Let me answer question haircut. In the character creation, if you choose to give your inquisitive black hair, it has this shine to it, so much so then almost looks blue. And yes here I don't see that, so what exactly happened? How do you exactly get rid of that? Mind you, I've only ever played this game on xbox 360 platform. I have yet to plant either using the ps3, & I do not own a ps4.
I’m pretty sure that Hawke weapon rotated between a bow and twin daggers. I remember having a Rogue Hawke that had a bow at first in Crestwood. The second time I met her she has daggers. I could be wrong though.
You can... before meeting him, you have to go to the battlements (where Varric will be located).. clicking on him you have the options of using a default Hawke (the one in the video) or a personalized one (it opens the charater creation for Hawke)
It is, yes. They give you the option to customize your Hawke OR use the Default. I customized mine to look like the one I played in DA2. And then I also used default.
Because he wasn't able to stop his city from tearing itself apart, despite being it's Champion. Because he missed that Anders was planning to explode a church and start a continental war between mages and templars. Because he's been on the run and hiding from both sides since the war started. Because he's seperated from his love interest either by miles, or if Anders was romanced, an uncrossable ideological divide. Hawke has damn good reason to be unkempt and dejected. It'd be weird if he wasn't miserable.
