From kerala living in Australia I can say Australian bananas are not very tasty. Kerala and Sri Lankan bananas are absolutely delicious. We are from the same hemisphere so understandably shares very similar food and fruits.
"...there is something special about Sri Lanka. There is friendliness from the local people that comes from a *pure heart* They know their land is a paradise but instead of gatekeeping it, they want to share it with us, with you, with the world driving our little red tuk-tuk across this country..." You showed it from your own *pure heart* your humility, appreciation to those lovely people around you. Greetings from a fellow Sydneysider. Wonderful 🙏🙏🙏
We Tamils love Sinhalese people- basically good and kind people. We don't like corrupt politicians of Sinhalese and Tamils. Humanism will unite us. Together we will bring up the nation.
Josie you are living your life. Thanks for showing us the world, the places you travelled so far. It's like I can see through your eyes and honestly the way you make videos it's really amazing.
I TOTALLY would have, I wanted to! But my license at home is expired because I’ve been travelling for so long and you need a valid license to drive so I got off this time 🛺🛺😂😂 Thank you Ridip! 😁🙏🏻🙏🏻
sri lanka has 32 types of bananas , my fv is red bananas .so I ve removed coconut trees and planted red banana trees in 1 acre in my garden ,its also profitable than coconuts
Seeing these AMAZING AND POSITIVE videos about Sri Lanka makes me miss SRI LANKA so much. I am definitely going to visit and meet up with all my family and friends from Sri Lanka. The whole Tuk- Tuk experience is just amazing, the bumpy roads and the wind on your face. Sri Lanka is amazing! Another tip- use a translator to make it easier to communicate and you will learn new Sinhalese words while doing this.
Glad you were able to get reserved seats for the train (we were not) but it was an adventure for us. Lovely video and makes us want to come back to Sri Lanka
Amazingly amazing! Sri Lanka looks like such a loving giving country - I can’t wait to visit myself one day & share my own journeys with the world! What an honour to be driving the country on a tuktuk haha
Thanks for being here and promoting stunning scenery in the paradise island. That tuk-tuk guy in Ella is an opportunist, good that you were smart to dump him, 2k is a ripoff. Otherwise most people are very reasonable, do not try to just grab money like that. Hope you 2 will have a wonderful time in that homely and BEAUTIFUL country. ❤ 😊
Galla is the Sinhalase pronunciation of Galle. Dont forget Horton Plains National Park near Ella. You can see the beautiful Bakers Falls and World End trail.
It's exciting to see young people traveling on a budget to different parts of the world. Its also great to see the world through your lens and hence taking all of us with y'all. I wish you both the very best in all your wonderful adventures visiting different countries and cultures. Thanks to young people like you, the world has become a smaller place.
Welcome to our paradise. Sri Lanka has so much to offer Beautiful sunny beaches to cold lush greenish mountain, Rain forests, incredible wild life, water falls ,Historical sites ,amazing foods ,except snow every kind of nature in this tiny island . That's why it is so special
Great shots you got there Josie going northward of Sri Lanka . . . and pretty much the same countryside scenery and roadside shacks we got here in the Philippines for stop-overs when you travel northward or southward from Manila . . . hmmm, Michael seemed to enjoy his tuk-tuk driving . . . BTW, I'm touched when you said you really love our TURON - the fried sugared banana inside the spring roll wrapper . . . you should have tasted our TURON with LANKA (jackfruit) which is the real treat!! . . . so enjoy the rest of your Sri Lankan adventure and take care you two!!
You just earned a subscriber! Love your content and the energy from both of you. It's been awhile since I have been in my country and seeing it from your PoV is lovely!
Beautiful scenery- loved the bridge, especially when the train crossed it. You looked refreshed in the new blue shirt 🙂. Pity you didn't run into any elephants! Everything appeared so green and luscious. Sri Lanka would be an amazing place to visit. Michael should get a part time job there so you can stay longer - driving Tuk Tuk's- 😂😂😂😂 Thanks for sharing.
It is a crazy beautiful country!! It’s so underrated. Looks just as good as Indonesia if not better. Beautiful. Hahaha maybe I’ll learn to drive too 😂😂😂
So good to see you guys.. It's really enjoyable hiring an auto rickshaw and ride it around.. 😁 Both of you are very simple and good heart people. You both get adapted very easily.. Bdw am from Northeast India (Assam) Really could not find you in Ghy, when you were here, I did wait but my bad luck.. I didn't knew where you guys were.
@@josieliftsthings In daily life, we have to face lots of problems n challenges here. I have one of my school friend living in Melbourne with her husband.. Both are Indian.. But you gotta accept, In terms of work wages, Australia is much better as you gets more wages than us for the same amount of work in Australia. You missed a lot of places in Assam as travellers, Manas National Park which is 20km away from my home. I know it's all that you guys had less time to explore..

Thank you 😊 for come and visiting to our country, and I sincerely appreciate the introductions you make about the friendliness😊, beauty, culture, etc. of the people of our country, I am Hasintha from Sri Lanka 🇱🇰 . Bye 👋 I cordially invite you to come here once again 😊
@@josieliftsthings Indians mostly eat homemade food. there the food is very less spicy generally if compared to food made outside. staple food of India is Dal Bhat which is little to non spicy.
SriLanka has more than 40 types of bananas, each tastes and textured different, and have different nutritional values. the small once that your were eating is called Sour Banana. Then we have Sugar Banana these two are the most common ones. and then we have more exotic ones like red bananas, kolikuttu, Ambun, anamalu, (I know strange names 😆 ) and so many. they all taste unique. Not like regular cavendish.
Aw! You should ask for spoon to eat the inside of the coconut. That is great. Love ur video. You guys spread positivity and friendlyness when you travel. Glad found ur channel.
Actually there are many varieties of bananas in Sri Lanka. Since you said it tasted like candy I guess you had “seeni kesel” which literally means “sugar banana” seeni means sugar. Also you can try kolikuttu banana which has more starchy taste. Embul banana which has a mix of sour and sugar taste, embum banana has a nice banana essence. Rath kesel is reddish and has a sugary plus herbal kind of taste. There are so many other varieties.
Btw about bananas we have many types of bananas that taste totally different from one another in Sri Lanka. Most of the European countries have only one type of bananas available which is Cavendish banana which is also available in Sri Lanka. One more thing when you finish drinking coconuts ask the vendor to open the coconut up for you to eat the flesh which is also delicious
Try to find mangosteen, rabutan ,soursop (Katu anoda) and anoda also try rose Apple (Jambu), Velvet tamarind( gal siyabala) . Food wise try to eat lamprise (lamp+rice). Have a good time in Sri Lanka. Also if you have time go to knuckles mountain range in Mathale. On the way to seera Ella water fall is breath taking as well as the black water safaris (in Gage wediya) around Wilpattuwa national park in kalpitiya
I’m so used to cavendish or whatever they are! Hahaha I love finding different things in different countries. They taste so different but they’re the same fruit! 😂 Thank you so much for the tips 😁😁
Come on, the egg rolls cannot be that spicy😂. Anyway, I love that you guys are being honest, instead of trying to appeal to the audience. Love your work.
Lot of thanks for introducing my motherland sri lanka to world ,,it is beautiful country , warmly wellcome to sri lanka ,thanks so much , god bless you
