Meg Myers "Desire" Guitar Center's Singer-Songwriter 3 

I miss this era of Meg. Her new style seems like the industry convinced her to conform more to a “pop" style. She's still amazing and I dig her newest stuff, but this version of her was definitely what made me a huge fan. Seemed much more authentic and visceral.

How is this not the hottest thing on the radio?

That song, the way she performs it, the emotion, the lyrics. It's a killer.

This year at our Singer-Songwriter 3 Grand Finals, we had special guest performer Meg Myers and her band close out the night with a few hits off her latest EP. Check out this performance of her song "Desire" recorded live from Hotel Café, Los Angeles.

Holy shit, her voice is just like the studio version. Super commanding, you can feel the performance of her voice really accensuate every word, she's very expressive with her performance and you can really feel the intentions of the song come through. Well done, first time I've heard of Meg Meyers today. Made my first purchase of her entire album, looking forward to more.

This video is much better than the "music video". So much more respect seeing the band included, including the fact that she plays the instruments and isn't just a stage prop with a good voice. Excellent performance, sounds just like the track, but live. 👏👏👏👏

Meg of 2021 is nothing like this straight Meg of 2013-14. She looks and acts different. She sings differently. She had such a transformation into this tiny, blonde fairy that you still want to hang out with, but wouldn’t obsess over like you would if you landed her here. People change. Oh well.
