You have that right. Meg doesn't have to put on a skin show and dance dirty to connect with the listeners. It is refreshing to see a new artist who makes it on her SOUND and not on a bunch of technical maneuvers or some choreographed show. I think it is important for us as fans to buy her CD's and to continue to help provide means for Meg to continue writing and producing songs. She has a true gift and I am inspired to continue following her as Meg progresses with her music throughout the years. I am an older guy raised on Led Zeppelin etc... and I have a real appreciation for what Meg is doing musically.
its sad how music these days are about making money, theres no passion anymore. I love meg cuz she makes you feel her pain through her music. Passion is key.
I feel the same way about her music. What I imagine happened is that she got some counseling and perhaps some form of SSRI or adjacent drug. She is probably happier day to day, which his great for her.. but we grew attached to her unbalanced emotional state that she portrayed through her music because it resonates with us that suffer from things similar.

There is an intensity to her vocalizations, an unbridled ardor which is missing from(much of modern) music. Each time I listen to one of her (raw) songs, there is a swelling of emotive passion that seems to carry me off with her words. She doesn't 'wear her heart of her sleeve' she carries it in her voice and shares it with anyone who will listen. (Even when she is not saying a word, just singing notes and carrying the melody with her voice.)
I don't know what it is about her. But she is the only one artist that seems to speak directly to one's soul. Listening her songs thrive from pure emotion, becomes such a profound experience that humanely it feels you just can't hold on to completely. Her words just deconstruction and reconstruction all at once.
When you find your passion and follow it, no matter the hurdles that get thrown at you, throughout life, you come across rare gems like Meg Myers. Love your work.

Meg Myers reminds me of a young Bjork in this, especially during her Sugercubes years & when Bjork released her Debut Album, Debut. I've seen Bjork live and she gets that same look of being inside her own world when she sings like Megs too.

Meg Myers, May 2018 & I recently discovered this performance... I discovered and have fallen in LOVE with your music around three years ago. Just recently I've found this to listen to and watch more than once... I love your vocals and your mate's guitar skills are fantastic throughout the entire song. Great connection and collaboration there! You're mannerisms with your performance, microphone & stand specifically, are spot on with how I tend to sing a song to myself be it in my head or aloud. I love it and it its relieving to see others let that out to the world. Thank you for your music and I can't wait to hear the new album!
