Where I live (BC, Canada) it's illegal to use helicopters to transport hunters or game. Back in my salad days, I slogged up and down mountains in the northern BC Rockies, carrying a heavy pack with all my gear to set up a spike camp. Getting dropped off by helicopter would have been a dream come true. Not having to slog out the game would have been sweet. One trip, I was three days of hiking away from the lakeside base camp when I saw the world's biggest bull moose (in my eyes). It looked like it had a couple of sheets of plywood for antlers. HUGE!! But getting it out would have taken about four or five trips, at least four days each. So I wished it well, told it to make all kinds of baby moose and said good-bye.
