Over 3 nights from Thur 01/02/18, Lampson Australia had the task of moving the 256 tonne generator which was being transported from the power station at Loy Yang, to a ship in Port Melbourne. The whole set up was 108 meters ( 354 feet ), 6.5 meters ( 21 feet ) wide, and 5 meters ( 16 feet ) high. The total set up weighed in at 650 tonnes (1 433 000 pounds ) in weight.
The first night saw it travel from Loy Yang to Officer, the second night from Office to Dingley, and then the final night shown in the video, it traveled from Dingley to Port Melbourne.
The generator is going back to Siemens in Germany to be overhauled.
The first view shows leaving Dingley in front of a large crowd, and then a little later as they make their way down Nth Road near Murrumbeena.
