My name is Josh, I work for Tigercat. I particularly make the front blade and the rear lifting boom on our skidders! This is our biggest machine, and it is really amazing to see you guys in the field using it! Thank you for your video!
It’s cool to watch Derrick and Chad working and putting those drags together. Definitely cool hanging out when you’re working in shop. Videos are awesome
Yes sir! It's always good to hang out with Cotontop3. You do a great job of making sure we understand fully when you are working on something. Very detailed information. Thanks for your dedication to your channel.
Nothing more aggravating than heading back out on the skid trail and seeing 1,2 or more trees that done slipped out the grapple. Eats up your time gathering back up. Been doing this for 24 years and by no means at all do I know everything. Watching the 830 cutting,I always learn something and how can apply techniques to make my job more efficient. Don't know about everyone else, but myself, surely do appreciate the time you put into making these videos Tim. To portray a professional and positive image to the timber business.
This is where my dangle head track cutter works so well, I have so much reach and my head will turn any which way. I can cut those trees in that ravine and slide them back to the top in two motions and I can outwork a hot saw in that situation. People with hot saws get so mad when I tell them that but its true. That is why we choose the dangle because we are always on steep ground where most of the time the skidders have to have roads and we still cable a lot in this area. Flatlands I would pick a hot saw all day long, but in the mountains a dangle will smoke a hot saw head. That 830 is a sweet machine!
Nice to see you showing all the equipment in action. Yes i like seeing you hanging out and seeing you messing around doing different things. Be safe have a great day
YES, I personally enjoy all your content! Including messing around in your shop! You're really creative and dynamic. 👍🏼Always great stuff! I'm learning a lot.
This is so cool.. I could watch this all day! I'd love to see this stuff in person! Omg that would be SO exciting!!! Great stuff Mr. Tim, thank you for taking the time to share this with us. 👍🏼
I enjoy watching you work around your shop, I'm proud to see the differant military branch flags hanging on your wall beside the stars and stripes! The pride you take in your job and crew... Well done sir, well done!!!
Definitely love the up close and personal shot of Chad and Derrick working... awesome footage!! Have to do that some more when conditions are safe!! I don`t mind the shop stuff and commentary... perhaps something with your crazy dogs as well... I`m a dog lover Tim and I`m sure most of your subscribers are to. Keep`em coming Tim you`re doing a great job!!
Tigercats getting it done. You can barely hear Derrick's machine. Chad's skidder has the coolest sound, especially when it's pulling a big drag. Awsome👍👍👍
Very cool to hang out with you, Tim. Since I met you at Kuster Farms last year, I know for sure that you'd be a hoot to just shoot the breeze with anywhere, anytime. By the way, if you were up here in the north right now, the only place you'd want to be is indoors and near a source of heat. Even for someone who has lived in the upper Midwest all my life, this weather is something else. Later, Tater!
I can believe how much weight that cutter head can hold and just lay it down whenever he wants and the skidder he's pulling a ton of tree's each pull, great video as always
Excellent video! Your explanation commentaries of the action going on in the vid are the best. Skidders instead of forwarders, different fron what we do out west. Those skidders really haul!
"That's when you start talking to the trees, calling them names.... I think it helps." Lol. Great video. Satisfying to see so much work getting done. You guys are good.
Man that is one thing I like about your channel you show us all kinds of thing that you do. My Daddy showed me all the things he done helped me learn how to do thing. I can't do the things you do now but it is fun seeing how you do it. Not being able to get out and do thing like I did watch u tube give me something to keep my mind going. Thank you'll for doing what you do. Stay safe out there and God bless you.
Tim,I watched the video "25" by tigercat,I recommend everyone check it out for whoever didnt see it yet ,really cool about the story and history and the restoration of the first 726 rubber tire feller buncher tigercat produced and pulled out the weeds from the original owner, really cool video...they come a long, long way..
Cottontop 3 the sound was real good just as good and clear. I love watching all the machines run and hear them put to the test I used to help friend do some logging but we had to load most buy hand I love watching the cuter and the double boggy work I would to come down and help out run some of that equipment while you guys are working I've loved grinning equipment all my life even back when I was a kid. I can't afford to drive that far or pay four motel I'll sleep in shop that how bad about hanging out after work in your shop with you and RU-vid I'm on disability but take meds four back and heart problems I have insurance you will not have to pay for no medical. If was to get hurt I still work on Jobs helping some labour instance my passion is heavy eguipment and driving mules and horses
Another fascinating video of logging equipment in use-love the sound of the TigerCat 635 lugging and dragging!!!Lots of work being done there. And the sound of the cutter-buncher chopping the trees down! The shop visits are good, too.Cummins makes a NICE motor!!!there is a Cummins motor plant not too far from Greenville,NC forget what town the plant is in.amazed at the efficiency of the hydraulics transferring energy from the engine to the work!!!
You are the man. I respect you a lot!! I’m just a couple of county’s away over in panola county. Love your videos. I work for a concrete plant and drive a John Deere 624 k wheel loader everyday.
The Tigercat 635D with its 6.7 liter Cummins engine and 10 monster tires is an absolute beast! It's incredible to see the power and capability of this mega machine in action.
my name is lindsay goins and i enjoy watch you video and i injoy hearing the sound of the tiger cat and the heavy equipment and seeing the men operate them .and i like the way you explain everything and how everything work.and explain the login business in full detail the up and down .all i can say keep up the good work
The video quality from that camera was excellent. The smell of fresh cut pines is one of the things I miss the most from the short time I drove a self loading truck for a local timber service.
You got big money invested in your business. I grew up in VT and logging was a big business in the early 70’s. Old joke was a VT logger hit the lottery and was asked what he will do with the money. He said he would keep on logging until every dollar is spent.
That was an awesome shot at the beginning of the video where you could see thru the side screens on the skidder. Probably can’t do that on the new ones with the emissions controls.
I love the sound of that Cummins in that 635 if that doesn't make your sticker peck out nothing will. Except maybe a 900 cubic inch 2 cylinder John Deere G pulling a transfer sled! I like the shop videos they add to the interest of your videos.
I like the shop videos. Man that Derrick knows that he can run that cutter. The conditions that y'all have been operating in would compete with what Goodson all terrain logging does except they work in swampy areas. That tracked cutter can do so much more than one on tires.
That skidder amazes me everytime I watch it drag. I also watch some other videos of smaller skidders dragging probably a third of the weight and all having a terrible time getting the drag moving.
Great Video Tim . I like all your videos bud. As my Pop used to say : "If Mother Nature would have the Sun & Wind work together, They alone could dry the ground out faster than I could with a Dozer."
The wind screen on your cameras are doing a great job I heard no wind at all just good clear audio and hanging out in the shop sounds good Merry Christmas to you and yours and happy new year
Interesting to see the skidder driving forward and backward with the operator rotating the seat. Is it faster to do it that way all the time or just on short hauls? Looks like it saves a lot of time vs turning around at each end.
I wanna see how you fit 57K people in the shop at the same time..LOL Just funnin Tim. I like watching ya work on stuff so I give a Thumb's up for the shop vid's..Love the new mic's Tim, could hear you so much clearer than before, Have a great day Tim..Take care out there..
Working in a forest environment is some of the most enjoyable work mankind can do and I'm not there but I remember that pleasant 'fragrance'. Just keep enjoying life!!!!
Another nice video Tim. Love getting the daily updates and to get to see the machines working like this. I have a question. In a video the other day you talked about how they replant after y’all cut and so forth. How do they go about replanting or do they replant when say a crew like the Goodson’s “swamp log” a tract? @cotontop3
hello there Tim. sorry I'm late to watch your video bud. man every time I hear that skidder it's a great sound. it's a sound that makes your sticker peck out. 😂. as always great video Tim. stay strong, stay safe out there and take care fella.
very cool hangen at the shop with you, hell let the dogs in there with you! LOL! And by the way Derrick can run the S___T out of that buncher very cool video thanks for your time and can't wait to see what's next.
