I still come back to listen to this sometimes. For so long, this is how I wanted to feel, and then, the date of December 4, 2017 came. I remember it clearly; I had just come home from another stupid day at school where things weren't so fun, I was still under stress because I had finally found someone I loved who might not love me back, the world felt like it was falling apart, and I probably had no future. I sat down and logged on my computer, and began browsing livestreams on Twitch. I found one. The guy was speedrunning a Wonder Boy game. We had a neat discussion in chat, and the Mega Man 30th Anniversary events for that day were already over. It was snowing pretty swiftly outside, making things much more difficult for my internet connection, which seems normal, but this is also Montana, so two functional internet-filled hours a day were a rare gift. Another person came into the livestream chatroom, speaking in German (the streamer was German, but also spoke English) and asked something about "Mega Man 11". I asked what was going on and if it was real, as it seemed like a joke at the time. They told me that it was real, and posted a RU-vid link to the trailer for the game. Expecting an 8-Bit Mega Man, ending with a joke about Capcom, I was quickly thrown from my seat and through the back window as Mega Man, usually a normal, 8-Bit game, physically teleported himself onto the ground, cracking the floor with full force. Coming to a stand, he spoke. But when Mega Man speaks any other time, he generally sounded horrendous and inaccurate. Yet, now he spoke like a normal person. My ears were nearly shattered with the full decibels of what would be Fuse Man's level music. Leaping atop a block-based level WITH blocks ABOUT blocks, blue pyramids and temples could be seen in the background. Mega Man seemed to already be the pinnacle of revolutionary modern technology, and yet now he was moving at breakneck speeds. Breakneck speed for MEGA MAN. No longer firing small, compressed, digitized eggs from his blaster, he instead seemingly had chosen the real deal, charged and compressed plasma energy bullets. Things were exploding left and right, and the world itself seemed to be quaking at the very thought of Mega Man with such power. Mega Man slowed, but he began to charge his Mega Buster, something that was thought to be a relic of the past by now. He went to Charge Stages 1 and 2...but then he went to a third level, a new tier of power. His body pulsating red, he pulled the trigger. A gigantic, magenta blast of plasma fired across the area, destroying nearly everything in sight ahead. Mega Man had grown faster and stronger, but for what reasons? Only time would tell. For a non-religious person, I'm gonna sound a bit biblical: Mega Man 9 and 10 being made was basically the Second Coming of Christ, but blue and mechanical. Mega Man 11, however...this felt different. Imagine if Christ himself played The Terminator, but all of the special effects were real, and five times as powerful. Still slightly below what something of this magnitude was. I'm surprised Dr. Wily hasn't given up.
