Mega Man 2: The Power Fighters Intro and All Endings 

Actually what happened is Sigma discovered Zero and Battled with him, after Zero was defeated, the Wily virus got out of Zero's body and into Sigma's body, thus zero joining the Maverick hunters and creating the Sigma virus.

@@Wiskdecreb you forgot that after the fight when sigma got infected it evolved into the Maverick/Sigma virus

In the end, wily's maverick virus still wreaked havoc after leaving zero's body.

If I remember correctly, Zero had faulty programming that made him too violent for Wily to control. So, the doctor sealed him away, along with some of the Roboenza/Wily virus. 100 years later, after Megaman X was dug up and Reploids became their own species, the virus leaked out of the capsule and infected a bunch of them. The infected were called Mavericks, the Maverick Hunters were formed, and Sigma had the virus merge with his programming, while somehow curing Zero of his problem. One explanation for this claims that eventually, the virus tried to infect Zero, but since he was already crazy violent, a virus that makes robots crazy violent only canceled it out.

The reveal of Zero.

To my knowledge, this was the first time Capcom confirmed the theory that Wily created Zero. Before this, it was only fan speculation.

Seeing zero in the classic timeline is surreal, even though its just an blueprint

I want him back so badly as well.

I'm guessing he could appear in mm12, thinking the robot masters will be in space

Though I heard someone made an idea of him coming back for legends 3 to finally get volnut return to earth

They are considered Light's robots. In Japanese stories after Rockman 1 they are "re-reprogramed" back to their old selves. It's just that they are often also depicted as being stolen again, or copies of them are made to be used by Wily again.

I like the animation in 7, but feel that Mega Man's himself is too big. If you liked that style, though, check out Mega Man: The Wily Wars. It's very similar.

I don't really care for Duo, but Mega Man 11 could have been given more meat, featuring Bass and Proto Man along with a second castle would've mad that game truly fantastic. The entire time I played 11 I was really hoping to have a Bass fight.

@@randomguyontheinternet7940 They intentionally held off of putting Proto Man and Bass in the game because Mega Man 11 was also meant to be a introduction to the series for new players as well. I'm sure they'll return in Mega Man 12 or something, but yeah it sucks they weren't in MM11.

Because even though he was made with a desire to defeat Mega Man, he wants to show up Wily even more. Think of a son who hates his father but still wants his father's approval.

Bass feels like Dr. Wily and the other Robot Masters get in the way of his biggest goal: to destroy Mega Man by himself (or with Treble) and prove that he is the strongest robot in the world. Wily's plans for world domination mean little to him (even mocking said plans in a couple of games like Mega Man 10).
