Inafune wanted to end the series I guess. And unlike Mega Man X5, Capcom allowed BN to end.

+dnmstarsi Honestly, it could be due to the fact that after BN4 single-handedly cannibalized the series (and I mean that while BN4 was the highest selling game, it ruined MMBN's image), BN5 - a game that was actually good just wasn't doing great in sales. So after realizing Battle Network isn't the cash cow it used to be, they decided to just end it. To be fair, the fact that many reviewers back in the day slammed the series for each entry being a rehash could have also been a factor in the decline of the series.

Was BN4 bad? I was too young to remember. I do remember not liking 4 and 5 much(5 on DS is great though) and kinda felt as if 6 should have had more content(but this may be a testament to how fun it was for me).

If you want comparisons, it's widely considered to be the Mega Man X7 of the series. (Although to be honest, I would still play BN4 over X7.)

Also pretty handy, when you manage to freeze a wood type enemy. That will be a lotta damage!

Same. I only have Falzar but luckily I was at one point able to borrow Gregar from a friend for a month or two to experience its Crosses and Beast mode in all their glory.

okay but imagine what if you had access to any cross; what 5 would you take, and what beast out would you use with them? (you're allowed to get creative for falzar crosses with the gregar beast out & vice versa)

CoolGuy95 No, he also loses any cross he has during the battle, just for that battle, and his buster stats drop to one.

Emotion Order is as follows: Normal (Desperate/Syncro) -> Beastmode (Syncro) -> Tired -> Beast-over -> Exhausted/Sapped. Being tired only locks out emotional effects (Desperate/Syncro). There's apparently a bug-mechanic that will flip randomly between Desperate, Syncro, and Tired (going back to normal in between) though idk if it's actually a thing. Being in the Exhausted/Sapped state will drain hp quickly to 1 unless it's already 1, prevent crosses and other emotional effects, and nerf most stats (notable being buster strength). You cannot Beastmode again in this state ether.
