Iceman’s level looks amazing in this game. Move over Chill Penguin! Also, the music in the Wily levels is almost better than the NES version, which says a lot.
The first physical re-release of The Wily Wars was actually on the Sega Genesis Mini in 2019. And it also got added to Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack in 2022.

@@kevyjoe413 Yeah, But Legacy Collection Is Technically A Rerelease Of The Wily Wars, Except It Uses Emulated Versions Of Mega Man 1-6 And Not The Wily Wars, But It Still Can Be Considered A Successor To The Wily Wars.
Yeah, the Mario and Mega Man series were so popular that they both deserve 16 bit remakes of the first 3 games for the SNES and the Sega Genesis respectively
The one Game Boy Mega Man title I'm sure you can guess wasn't done by Minekuchi, the one with the high pitched music. Capcom learned their lesson after that, going back with Minekuchi for Mega Man 3, 4, and 5.
My first thought when watching this was why didn’t they do this on the SNES? It would have been awesome - like a Mega Man version of Super Mario All-Stars. I would have bought it for sure!
@@supervega2845 Nice! I love Mega Man. I grew up mostly playing Mega Man 1-3 and Mega Man X. In recent years the one I enjoy playing the most is Mega Man X2. Which is your favourite?
Sure, the sound is higher quality, but the music is much better on NES in my opinion, the graphical upgrade is nice though, and if you didn’t have Nintendo this was a fine way to play Megaman
I was surprised when the mega man the wiley wars came out that mega man 4 mega man 5 and mega man 6 was not added to the Sega Genesis it whould be cool if they put those 3 games in but they didn't
These 3 games were put together as Capcom's third party introduction to the Genesis, I believe this was the first official release from them as Sega before then reprogrammed Capcom games for the Genesis themselves.
The Wily Wars version of the first 3 Megaman games are equally as fun as the original NES versions. It's the "Super Mario All-stars" of classic Megaman. My only problem with Megaman 1 here... Elec Man's music is even *WORSE* then the already terrible sounding 8-bit version.
Didn’t you already uploaded game play footage of Mega Man 1 on the Mega Man: The Wily Wars in your channel or is this a second playthrough playing Mega Man 1 on Mega Man: The Wily Wars again?
33:47 Anyone know the name of that red shuriken-like symbol? It also shows up in U.N. Squadron for SNES and has the same function, refilling all life and weapons.
They named it after a guy in an old Japanese TV show. His name was Kazeguruma no Yashichi, and kazeguruma means pinwheel, so I guess that's where they got the design. Ever notice how much it looks like the Umbrella logo? 🤔
@Thecowboy2: The yashichi also shows up in other Capcom games of the mid-to-late 1980s , particularly their arcade hits and NES console conversions of those arcade hits.
Nintendid, these 3 were on NES first. Sega did something Nintendo didn't, get kicked out of the console industry due to running a disaster of a company, bickering between the US and Japan divisions constantly. Sega went out with a whimper, not a bang.
Bomb Man doesnt even have a *sound effect* when he throws his bombs. this game is terrible. The Nes version way better than this. the graphic up grade does nothing
