Didn't we all. The game had the likes of Zelda while keeping many Megaman aspects as well as just brand new things. Seeing some weapons to a full upgrade or upgrading all weapons fully, man you will have yourself a plus 60 hour run each time.. that 100 quiz in MML2 tho for the zetsabre part..how the hell would i have had those answers as a kid???? It reminded me of my Mario Is Missing game, with incredibly hard history questions for no reason
Not only as a child but every 2 years or so up until this very day at 32 years old, i play this and part 2. As a kid man i dumped so many countless hours into these games..i love the music in the mall in mml, LOVE the flutter music in mml2. Mystery where i got mml from but 2 i got on my 12th bday i believe. I had gotten The Misadventures Of Tron Bonne and it had the MMl2 demo included, i was hype haha but man of all the games, Tron Bonne is the 1 i lost somehow and i do not!!!!! Get rid of old games so that really just digs so deep and bugs me till this day so bad. So if any of you have the Misadventures still and wanna fulfill my heart with joy, send it my way 🥺🙏🏻
Hel yeah. GG Blue! Good to see you still crushing MML. The unused tricks you were talking about at 4mins sounds interesting. Would you be interested in doing an exhibition video?
I could make a video perhaps. I have been working on a set of Google Docs for each MML game explaining tricks and such. I just recently finished the first one for MML1 and will be posting it to Speedrun.com at some point. docs.google.com/document/d/1hgJE9CZWUGtKpuO9SZ8Axv4zwUboS3JvnXo5L0bRzXw/edit?usp=sharing
A few, yeah. The biggest thing being the text boxes. Japanese has so many less text boxes that it saves 2-3 minutes. You also get to kick Paprika when trying to help Tron. The controls are also a bit more convenient where you use X to skip text and O to confirm.
A long time ago I bought this game for the PS1, brand new, at KB Toys as they were closing. I had given the game to an old friend of mine many years ago as a gift. Some day I hope to get another copy to play again.
If you're looking for ones without glitches, there are none. This game is extremely airtight. The only possible ones are done with glitches/clips, or are only theoretically possible but proven with hacking.
Just mash forward at a set rhythm. If you play on default controls on PS1 version, you can hold L1+R1 while mashing forward a bit faster. If you're too fast though the shots won't come out.
you know i half wonder if you actually go out of the way for a bit of money to upgrade that machine buster you get early on, if it wouldn't save you time in the boat fight. i literally tear ass on that fight with the machine buster, which is a cheap and highly underrated weapon. i feel like so much time is spent on the boat that you might just be able to work that in there, for at least a near the same amount of time once the boat fight is over.
It's definitely a great weapon for sure, however the time/money investment doesn't come out ahead after the extensive testing we've done. The boat section can't be sped up any faster except for the boss's core, which doesn't save enough time to make it all worth it.
You can make him a little brighter in general by giving Roll certain things. If you've played Megaman X DiVE, there's an S rank version of Megaman Volnutt that features the dsrk armor and some nice shades. It's a reference to that police mission. One of his special attacks involves the suitcase and when you go to select him, the animation that plays shows him kicking and destroying a vending machine followed by him running from the police.
