Welcome to Mega Man X2: Weapon Master, where I'm using X's arsenal of special weapons to their fullest potential alongside the X-Buster. This condition is accompanied by achieving No Damage in every stage. The Shoryuken is banned in order to fully embrace the arsenal, as well as not overusing certain overpower weapons like charged Speed Burner, for that also takes away spotlight from other competent weapons.
This particular Weapon Master also uses the X-Buster more in boss battles. The reasoning behind that was because I wanted the boss rush to have different strategies that used the appropriate weaknesses. And also make up for me barely using it, since it IS technically still part of the arsenal lol
This was one of my favorite runs that I've done for the channel, and I've been sitting on this compilation for a bit too long. So, I'm finally releasing the full movie for current viewership comfort. I saw no need to re-edit everything since this was the most polished run I'd made in terms of presentation. However, that did come at the expense of being unable to remove certain on-screen messages. So I've made the necessary edits to provide solutions.

I've played Mega Man for a long time, and have always tried to learn all the tech to these games. Even with that knowledge I don't think people understand how impressive this is. A no-damage run alone requires full knowledge of the stage and exactly how it works, and a weapon master run is just insane. The X2 run was my introduction to your channel, and I've been subbed to you since. I cannot wait for the Z2 run. Keep doing what you're doing, and apologies for the wall of text.

I have an idea for your future X2 runs. Try fighting Serges and Agile when you meet them, but avoid Violen. This way you will fight every variation of two X Hunters, and Violen... isn't really different in the fortress. The best thing is, you will still fight Zero, because you didn't defeat all the maverick stages X Hunters.

Seeing no damage runs like these are way more fun to watch imo. Seeing ND runs where people limit themselves are impressive in their own rights, but they feel sterile since you're basically limited to a few attacks. Seeing the entire arsenal being used like this shows a level of mastery that you never think of when you look at the Mega Man games when you hear about the challenge run aspect of them.

Ah, the GOAT playing the game that got me into this franchise. As much as I've heard complaints about this game's Weapons (this is where they really did start getting gimmicky for the X series, ironically), these still have some competent options that people, I feel, don't want to bother with because they're not the more straightforward to busted options that X1 had (Something ironic, given that Mega Man fans will praise weapon rosters like MM2, but then complain when Weapons are broken for games following that...) or that they have to actively try and figure out what enemies are weak to said options (That's kind of the point of them having strengths and weaknesses, folks...). All that aside, this one's showing itself to be another work of art from you, Magnus. Big ups, my guy. 🙏

I'm glad the full run is finished! I remember seeing the first couple stages you showed off your gameplay definitely doesn't disappoint! I can't watch the full thing in one sitting though but I'll try lol Edit: This whole run was fantastic from start to finish! The ending was cool as well using giga crush & the boss rush before it as well.
