Mega Man X5 [100% Run] - Cutscene: Zero's Ending

In this ending, Zero reflects back on his memories and past in his final moments.
Also, I show how the final boss fights play out using Zero. Sigma's first phase is fairly simple given how good Zero performs in close-quarters although Sigma still deals a ton of damage if he hits you. Sigma's 2nd form is a bit trickier with Zero as it is difficult to hit the the weakspot on his head with just the saber. Twin Dream helps a lot here (and it is his weakness to boot).
And with that, unless I realize that I missed something important down the road, this will be the last I'll be uploading for Mega Man X5. Once again, thanks for watching and I"ll see you in the next one.

Dr. Light as well. The reploids were based on X after all and without the proper diagnostic tests X had, some of them would turn Maverick.

@@justiceiria869 Just think, X is one of the catalysts of the X series’ plot. Without X, reploids wouldn’t exist. Sigma even told X that he possesses both potentials and dangers within him and this caused Sigma to instigate a rebellion because he wanted to see the full potential of reploids and X himself.

@Marcelo Zuniga I had no regrets because back in 2002, the only Mega Man X game I had was the first one. Finding the other X series games back then wasn't easy because there weren't bundled collections of Mega Man X games yet back then.

@@davidgn40 Of course there is nothing solid yet, and there probably will never be, but try to be open minded and understand that if there were no familial ties between Weil and Wily, how was Weil able to defile a creation of Wily to create Omega? And what plans did Wily have set in motion to prepare for Zero's awakening? Dr. Light had left capsules with his AI contained in them to give X instructions and body armors, what did Wily have for Zero?

@@LightStreak567 first off "how was Weil able to defile a creation of Wily to create Omega": Zero and X are special in that X was the framework of all reploids and Zero wasn't intended to be a reploid but still managed to develop free will. That set them apart from other reploids e.g why neither of them could be affected by the Dark Elf's influence. HOWEVER that doesn't mean they can't be affected by contemporary scientists. In Mega Man X2, either Dr. Cain or Sigma rebuild Zero using his parts depending on your actions. Also, Weil didn't need to do anything special to "defile" Zero. His body was empty, as his consciousness was removed and placed into a different body. Weil just snatched Zero's empty body and uploaded Omega into it.

And the theory behind his resurrection in the next game makes sense... Sigma told him he met an old man (considering he hates humans, it must be Isoc the one who he met, from MMX6), and was Isoc the one who fixed Zero, altering his memory making him believe he hide and self-repaired; remember, X and Zero are not Reploids (which were created based on X by Dr. Cain) but Robots created maybe 100 years prior Cain's discovering Light's Laboratory and X. And also, exist the theory that Dr. Willy, like Dr. Light, was able to "survive" replying his own existence into AI but not in capsules like the second one (this confirms that Serges in MMX2 was a temporary body used by Willy, who rebuilt Zero enhancing him with a new armor and the sword and also in MMX6 Isoc was happy about Zero defeating High Max, which X wasn't able to do and claiming that he knows him inside-out, when Gate - the Reploid genius - never been able to do).

The stasis pod at the end of X6 was Capcom's idea and Inafune had to make Mega Man Zero around it because Capcom developed the game without him. Inafune originally planned for the series to end with X5. As Inafune created Mega Man Zero, we will never know what he truly planned to happen to Zero between his planned end and Mega Man Zero.

rockmenx8xx No, not the true villain, but rather part of a political/existencial struggle, X was programmed and swore upon his creation that he would protect mankind at all costs, and as such started destroying reploids knowing they could turn maverick and that would (not unjustified) end with the total elimination of mankind while declaring himself the savior aka the messiah of mankind, this, while Zero would have been the one standing up for reploids while unknowingly being the carrier of the virus that makes them go maverick, this would have set them against each other mirroring Wily and Light`s ideals Robots vs humans basically, except with none being more evil than the other.

That is also linked with the fact that X discovers that all reploids (X is not a reploid) derrive from him and as a result ends up feeling responsible for the reploids/mavericks, supposedly this ends up turning him insane, or rather into an extremist, that and the fact that Elysum/Neo Arcadia is the last place with and for humans, and that Dr.Light deleted his memories of Zero (whose true form is Omega, whose awakening would mean the end of humans and Reploids alike).

@Brenin Maness Actually, MegaMan Zero 1 was already being made when X5 was finished. The only change (that I know of) that was made as a result of X6 being made and released... was the final boss' identity. Who we know as Copy X was originally going to be the real X whose morals had eroded from the constant fighting. His worst fear, shown in his X4 ending to be himself becoming like a Maverick, had become reality. A remnant of this original plan can be seen in Zero's X7 ending, where Zero dreams of seeing X aim the X-Buster at him from atop a pile of dead Reploids, mumbling "Eliminate the Mavericks" incoherently as if he were like Sigma in X6. Zero's X6 ending was stated to lead into the backstory for the MegaMan Zero series, with him going to sleep for the first time, not awakening until Dr. Weil started the Elf Wars nearly a century later.

In a way I consider this his ending (along with X's Ending taking his saber and heading into battle in the future). After X5 it was kinda rewritten fanfiction kind of. X5 was originally the final game. But Capcom pushed for more titles so I remember there was director shifts and all that stuff happening. Don't get me wrong X6 through 8 are fun but it felt like an over run idea. Where even the original director admitted X5 being the final. However if not for the push for more games than we wouldn't have the Zero series for GBA.

@@raylentcross8203 Actually after Zero's ending in X6 he doesn't rest long, because he fights in the Cyber Elf Wars with X (and possibly Axl). After sealing away Omega, Zero sleeps until Mega Man Zero 1.

@@raylentcross8203 I know this is an old post. Basically X got tired of fighting and killing for years and years by himself and disappeared and died or what ever. Maybe reploids made a new X that went maverick. X was still around as an ai hologram I guess, he still had his consciousness. I think after MMZ3 or 4 X doesn't show up anymore. Basically because his energy has faded and he legit dies.

I always really wished that this game had a better localization. I don't just mean how there are fewer voice clips in the International release but just the way the dialogue is written. The only thing that separates the english text in X5 from X6 is that the grammatical errors and even spelling are apparent in x6 having been more rushed. In this however, just the way certain things are phrased, while technically proper in terms of grammar, just don't sound natural at all. A lot of it just comes off as ham fisted. Zero's ending in particular always bothered me the most. There are plenty of others though, like the X vs Zero fight where they effectively repeat the line about soul body twice for no reason. I'm rambling, but does anyone else know what I mean?

What I don’t get is why zero isn’t in excruciating agony… he’s been cut in half!!! These robots are supposed to feel human like pain I thought… sigma was in to much pain to stand when zero tore his arm off… unless they go into shock like humans…? And shouldn’t there be blood everywhere because these robots bleed when they die at least in all the other titles…

Basta con pasar el ultimo nivel con Zero, da igual con quien empezaste. Pero si Zero "despierta" por la caída de la colonia, entonces deja de ser jugable y no podrás ver este final.
