Having the final boss' dungeon theme be a bopping ass remix of the game over and tragic moments theme is absolutely fucking genius and something i'm surprised isn't done more often
I noticed that when the melody plays at about 30 seconds, it's not just fragments, it's green grass gradation. Listen to the drums, it has the snare used in area A. God I love this game.
@@subjectdei6869 it's almost as if the developers had to specially program that because sound isn't relative to a character's position unless specifically programmed that way, smartass
Gotta love how this being a variation of the "sadness theme" (fragments) fits SO well the plot and character progression of the protagonists. They are literally overcoming their inner demons, fears and past to confront the one who made them suffer so much in the first place, an enemy that thrives in the negative emotions of others. Actually, the whole game can be considered a huge metaphor about dealing with grief with the help of friends and a positive attitude.
Not to mention that assuming a no continues run, this is an arrangement of the theme you heard outside the building after fighting Giro/Model Z. Fragments doubles as the game over theme as well.
Capcom are goats with ost in general. Devil May Cry ost is also solid, even with the black sheep (DMC2) songs like the options theme is surprisingly good
"Snake Eyes" being a remix of "Fragments" signifies Vent/Aile's revenge against Serpent for the loss of his/her boss Girouette, who died in front of the Slither Inc. building; "Fragments" played during his death scene, while "Snake Eyes" plays inside the Slither Inc. building.
Why does everyone keep whining about the 1:06 part? It sounds exactly like the first part just with a guitar? Are you all just so obsessed with pop that you complain on just one guitar note?
It feels out of place and doesn't fit at all with the rest of the song, plus the song already looped perfectly, and that part just makes the loop very weird.
(You’ve failed many times protecting the ones to protect and lose to win but you refused to give up fighting for the ones who are gone and for your noble cause to avenge for your love one... *FILLS WITH DETERMINATION AND HOPES AND DREAMS* )
This song is epic because it feels like you want your revenge on the enemy because the enemy has killed all your love ones who you are avenging because of your determination and your fears and demons are not hold you back even though you’re failing and losing and that is your hopes and dreams calling out to save the world and in those determined eyes you see your self as a determined hero
I decided to just cut out that tiny bit and see how it would sound. I absolutely adore the song now, so I figured I'd post it. Here's the last part of the URL: /watch?v=LZOkQDY1eLs
When you remember "Snake" and "Serpent" mean the same thing, but only "serpent" is used in both English and French...🤦🏾♂️ In French it would be: "Yeux de Serpent".🌚
It's remastered by Inti Creates, so I consider it "as it is" track. Also, I would like to apologize you for my over reaction. I was really drunk back then, It's how things are going in Poland.
Although there's an Area X (the Grand Nuage/Guardian HQ), there are no Areas P-W nor Y & Z in the game; this area is titled D-4 and D-5 because it is a building located within the city of Area D
Seriously, fuck the boss rush in this game. I really like this game, and honestly I feel like the only reason I can't bring myself to love it is because I only played it recently but seriously, I've only gotten into the megaman series one month ago, and even if I've haven't even played one third of all Megaman games I'm still confident enough to say that this is the worst boss rush in the series or at least the worst one I've seen so far. The bosses in this game are brutal, but that in of itself isn't the issue here, at the end of a zone practicing a boss is fun and when you lose that little textbox of the boss mocking you might be annoying but it makes you motivated to beat them, and when you do bear them, it feels great! But here, the bosses have too much health and deal way too much damage and unlike the Zero series you don't get healing stuff WHY? I'm serious, on my casual scenario run I didn't find it that bad, but on my normal mode run, it took me 2 hours and 30 minutes (with 20 of those minutes being spent fighting Omega) to get to the final boss and when I reached the credits the in game timer went up to 4 hours and 20 minutes, half of my playthrough was spent in slither.inc, let that sink in. And the final boss was a pain. It's too bad because like I said, the rest of the game is great! But the boss rush sucks, and I'm not gonna take that back, even if I really like this game. And overall, I feel like they should've implemented some kind of elemental weakness to make them easier to beat, sure, I get it, Megaman X fans don't like the "Spark Mandrill Syndrome" and while I also wouldn't want a boss rush where it literally just pressing the fire button at the right time, but overall, I liked when in an X game, when you figured out the weakness, the boss felt easy to beat, it made you feel like you became stronger, hell, I'd even say the Zero games got that concept the best, using their weakness, the bosses were neither too difficult, neither too easy, sure, that's likely only me talking because I'm a bad player and all, but honestly I can't even imagine doing this without the save points of the Zero/ZXcollection.
The bosses in this game have no more health than they did in the MMZ series, and their patterns aren't particularly difficult in my opinion. If you're having trouble regardless, they DO in fact have weaknesses. Three of the Four Guardians' biometals correspond to elements, and 6 out of the 8 Pseudoroids are weak to one of them. Model PX and the remaining two Pseudoroids don't have weaknesses because Phantom didn't have one in MMZ1. If you end up having to resort to sub-tanks for the boss rush, while there are no straight up health drops in between fights, there is a hallway in-between each boss room and elevator where you can kill weak enemies to refill your energy.
@@mightykitten4615 I did notice this when I replayed this game, and looking back, yeah, maybe I gave the bosses a bit too much credit and criticized the boss rush a bit too much, but I still think they're great bosses and I'd rather fight them than a boss from the X series, (the Bosses from the X series aren't boring to fight, until you throw weaknesses into the mix they start to become a bit too boring, and when a boss is actually hard for example, there's always the fear of a game over which may or may not be a deal-breaker depending on the game you're playing) although I don't think they're particularly Better than a boss from the zero series. But still fun to fight and especially to try to use as few sub tanks as possible in the boss rush (which is something I don't do because I don't like having to farm before the final boss, although if I feel like the boss is too difficult I'll do it. It's just not something I like doing.)
@@thefollower2933 I think the weaknesses in the X series can be fun as long as you're not looking up what they all are. Part of the fun with this franchise for me is the freedom of choice and figuring out what works for which boss. Even if it trivializes the boss a bit, it's still satisfying because I found the solution myself.
@@mightykitten4615 that's also true, it feels really good figuring out what's a bosses weaknesses, like when I first played X2 and got to the boss rush, I had used a weakness against like, 2 bosses and I didn't know what any bosses weakness was, and I guessed right on each boss I fought, that was really satisfying, not to mention it's a good way to get through the boss rush faster since in most Megaman games it's the worst part of the game, although using them on a boss individually just breaks them in a way that feels... Not earned? Basically, it's a cool system, but it could've been executed better across the years.
Also holy shit everyone is complaining about that solo when Spoilers Over half of the solos between both zx and zxa tunes are distasteful and don't really work
Why am I Shalpp? No one's complaining about the solo. Everyone's complaining about the random bit at 1:06. It's out of place and didn't need to be there. I do agree that the albums do have too many random guitars that come out of nowhere and don't fit. Imo, the only times where the guitars fit are in Ogre Claw (that song was already metal) or Rush Trash Squash (considering Vulturon holds a guitar.)
Most of the soundtrack was just the same, monotonous, painful guitar riff over and over again. Even Battle Network 4 was better and that's saying something.
