Difficulty is what forces you to exceed your limits and reach higher goals. All Megaman games are all about quick processing, memory & reflexes. You may not realize it when you are playing but you keep improving yourself that way.
Created to destroy, lived to protect, died to ensure a future for reploids and humans, recreated as a biometal to guide the next generation. Pretty awesome but also tragic life.
Well in that aspect X is even more tragic. At least zero has two sort of romance and died fighting. While X never had any, and got destroyed by a mad guy in mmz2 :(
@@FabulousJejmaze apparently also Zero 4 was supposed to be between that year he spent fighting neo Arcadia where the idea of the zero knuckle came as he would only have the z saber and zero knuckle as his other weapons would have been damaged. But we got the Zero 4 we did instead, guess we will never know how exactly that year went.
Other than the art style, the whole Elf concept and fact you can only play as Zero, I fully agree. Megaman Zero truly was one of the better Megaman series. I still love the X series more, but even I can't help but feel quite jealous at some of the innovations Megaman Zero bought to the series when it came to gameplay. Heck, even the plot is vastly better too. It actually tackles some serious issues that I so wished the X series would have explored rather than just, "Ooh, Sigma is back. Evil happens. Stop him." -.-
The X series was were I started, though I'll disagree that the plot consisted of stopping Sigma and that was it. If you pay attention, it's a story of two allies that were never meant to be friends and the sacrifices they make to save each other, and save the world. Sure, Sigma was there pulling the strings for a major portion of this, but he's not really been the main focus that often. X1, 4 and 5 definitely, but otherwise he's just there. In the Zero series, however, it all comes together. Zero's full destructive potential was unleashed and his soul was placed in a new body, X made a major sacrifice in sealing the dark elf. And Zero answers the all so important question. Is he a maverick? He doesn't care. He was made to be a maverick, fought alongside the one he was built to destroy, and saved the world he was meant to plunge into chaos. For me, Zero tied the series together as a whole. X and Zero. Safe to say their games had some low points and drawbacks, it's a fact of life. No series is perfect after all. The success of X1&2 lead to X3 being relatively simple gameplay wise and lackluster in the graphics department. In an attempt to bring the series to a quick close, Zero 4 had some slightly gimmicky and relatively simplistic game and story dynamics. As a whole, I love both the X and Zero series. In part because they complete each other, but also because, though connected, they can stand alone as a series. In the X series, both X and Zero sported their own unique variable weapons systems and X had a variety of forms to use. In the Zero series, Zero could handle a variety of different weapons on top of switching elements and forms. Anyway,I could ramble about this stuff all day. The X and Zero series really drew out my best as a gamer. It makes sense that I love them so much.
The opening to this game was perfect. I don’t think a sequel to a game has ever had a better opening. This song, the fact that Zero is worn down and beaten, and yet he continues to fight onwards. My favorite detail is that the pause screen its the same on from Zero 1 but cracked and damaged, but once you make it to the base it’s brand new and completely different. The beginning of this game has so much care and detail put into it.
I love how this song translates the feeling of "We've got much ahead of us, but there's still hope". It suits perfectly with waking up in the morning and getting ready to face a long day.
The DETERMINATION, it gives off is insane to, but honestly i just think of if Asriel, wasn’t evil, and was fighting for what he believes in this would fit, and honestly Asriel’s, fitting for this form of Zero.
2:48-3:37 The best solo I've ever heard in any guitar composition. The gradual high note at the end fade out leaves you wanting more of the song.. a great doujin rock cover of one of the best openings in platforming games ever.
@@t-universegamer7609 It does seem that Capcom and Inti-Creates added this to the DS collection. However, I belive this album came out in the mid 2000s? (I could be wrong though)
HitTheDeckVIVIZ I would love a fighting game that brought together all of the major mega men and characters. That's something I would drop money on. Until then, sorry Capcom. My money isn't going anywhere near you until you make another Mega Man or Ace Attorney game.
Matt Yan Megaman, Protoman,Bass, Zero, Axl, Megama Voltnut, Megaman.EXE, Bass.EXE, Megaman from the Starforce games, Rouge, Megaman model ZX and A. Not to mention all the great villains from the X and Zero series you could throw in there like Vile Sigma Dynamo The Guardians of Neo Arcadia Craft. I would pay for a game like that if done well.
Yknow what never played mega man and got recommended this and now I suddenly have the urge to play every main title and spin off because this slaps so hard
The GBA had some great titles. The zero collection was awesome. I do think Zero series is better than the Megaman X games. You really have to check them all out.
@@markmontano2097 the Zero series is basically the X series but with better story, X series still had solid narratives but the stories in Zero are so much tighter and are linked together game by game, they're like sagas in an anime with an amazing conclusion that could have very well been a perfect finale for the main series as a whole, (SPOILERS) Wily's greatest creation built for destruction decides to live to protect instead, achieving Light's dream of world peace between man and machine, and how does he do it? By going Maverick (not to mention he finally understood what he was fighting for)
Actually, the Megaman Zero series ended in 4, so, there was nowhere to go with Zero after that (if you played the games you know what, I don't wanna spoil it for anyone).
One thing that I've wished Capcom did for the MMZ/ZX Legacy Collection is for them to put the mythos remixes in it and would be even cooler if they let us let it play in-game cuz I mean,c'mon How could anyone not like this? This is by far the best rendition of Departure I've ever listened to. It's just so damn beautiful
MMZ 2 was the first in the series that I got my hands on... So epic... Zero is already half dead as enemies close in, the epic music starts, Zero grabs his cape, throws it off, and strikes the sickest Imma-gonna-kill-you pose ever, then wails on an entire army of robots locked on to kill him = MOST EPIC INTRO EVER
MMZ3 was my favorite but MMZ4 had the most crowning moment of awesome in the Zero series if not the entire Megaman Series-Zero's final fight with Weil and especially his speech. His speech was made of pure win, just like himself.
I remember being a kid in the 90s, and thinking "Holy crap, this guy is cool" when Zero first appeared in X1. 20 years later, he's still delivering awesome. I feel like giving my younger self a pat on the back, just for knowing badass when he saw it.
(Zero After Defeating Weil In Ragnarok) Zero:My Time Has Comes *Remembering The Old Memories With X And The Others* Zero: Goodbye Ciel,I Trust You,You...Can.....Do..........it.
Okay... now im going to the basement. searching ald game boxes. finding the Zero Games and my old GBA. BB Reallife/internet and fuck you christmas. im now living by my box in the absement.
I know that only the original Mega Man was included in Smash Bros., but I wish Nintendo had included more songs from throughout the series, including THIS ONE!!!!! X, Zero, Legends, and Battle Network were my favs.
I love the mood and how this sounds as it starts out. Lost and tired in a quiet wasteland before kicking into full gear. Just like the opening in game.
+Seth X. The X series was better off being left alone aat 5. And how can there be a Zero 5 if Zero died in 4? The ZX series though....Man that was a story with some major potential. That I am sad to see dead before it could be finished.
+KorgCrimson ZX series could've at least had a third game. And yeah, there wouldn't be a Zero 5 unless the shadow standing at the edge of the crater was Zero himself. Why he'd leave his helmet, I don't know. But if that was in fact Zero standing in front of the sun, then we could've had a Zero 5. Plus, you're right about only needing to have the X series go up to 5, although the music was good in some of the games after.
i didnt [lay x7 but everyone say its pretty damn bad. its not terrible to the point its unplayable but its a disgrace to the MMX franchise... as for x8, awsome is not how to describe it. more like 'eh' shitty music, annoying graphics, that made death-traps hard to see, should have stuck to 2d animation. horrfyingly frustrating levels like man-o-war and yetti stupid unlock system and shit horrible story. i prefer X6 over 8 any time
This theme always reminds me of my little nephew. :') He started getting into video games by playing Megaman games, and one of his favorites was Megaman Zero.
I always prefered the z design than the x design. and i just realised this last night that unlike the x design where zero's lock of hair comes out from the back and is tied, the z series, his entire hair isnt tied from the back, it flows everywhere! So sexy o_O btw the remasted tracks pic is EPIC WIN ^^
I have often headcanonned that Zero’s Mythos design made for this album is actually his cyber elf form (What his soul became in cyberspace after he died in Ragnarok)
Actually, it doesn't. We need orzzzzz. BUT! What would be totally badass and cool and the meaning of life itself would be an anime series for Rockman Zero. That. THAT'D SO GREAT. BEYOND TO GREAT INDEED omfg.
+ximipe epimix Honestly Proto would be just another Mega man with a different moveset (which is cool and all) but Zero is the perfect MM character for a Fighting game due to his saber + buster thing. Hell throw in the shield boomerang, maybe the Knuckles from X8, and some Specials / Ex Skills from the X and Zero games and you got a masterpiece.
When first it came out, I was opposed to Zero's new look. Never understood why the change (played Zero 2 first, and this song has a very strong nostalgia with me, love the remix) and wanted the original back to play as. Yet I still enjoyed this series and went on to playing all the games and beating every mode. Even went to play ZX and ZXA. R.I.P
Second Verse! This is my Depar-arture! I have fought so long and hard Just to see you smile again... This is my Departure, I'm sorry for everything I have cau-aused you I am not a hero anymore...
