I love this!!!! I once went to Sanibel Island, waded over to a sand bar, with YUGE shell piles!!! Grownup, Shmonup. I plopped my Fanny in the middle and had the time of my life!!

It sure is too bad you can't sell n send some piles to folks. There's so many of us who can't get to beaches anymore, and would love to just sit and sort through a pile. Anyway, glad u can bring it to us this way!

Can you talk about what all the red and purple stuff is? I appreciate all your efforts bringing us these videos. Just a small request, when you pan, can you slow down? I can’t really see what you’re looking at.

Just fill up a bucket of micros and sort through them at home. Good for those days when weather keeps you off the beach

How exciting it must be to find so many cool things. Unfortunately we don’t get that here in Oregon. I love watching your show

That white one is called a coral shell, unsure of what exact species though, the other ones are called acorn dog whelks or Nassarius glans!

When scallops are closed like that they’re usually alive so i just leave em. When they’re empty there nothing but the hinge at the end holding it together so usually it’s open

i could be 100% wrong though! I'm new to the shelling society! I've been shell searching my whole life, but up until recently I've been shelling with the intentions of findings treasures & not just whole seashells, lol.

I would bring a flat plate or tray and put a handful of shells on it and have a close look at them , that’ll make it easier to see what you like 👍

I wished you’d go slow moving with the camera with the piles of shells…you are looking thru your eyes n see things quicker but for us viewers it’s actually cool just really slowly looking at the layers of shells/bits in those piles. Just when I think I see something cool that our not actually looking at you suddenly keep moving the camera around. Your seeing cool shells but it’s a quick constant moving glance of a thousand shell bits for us guys. Made me a lil dizzy lol. Maybe you can do a lil section like Sharmon in SWF beach life does but not “beach time” make yours browse time or something. Make it like 2 minutes of silence where you keep the camera in pretty well one area, maybe slowly slowly mover over a 2 ft sq area just for us to see what jumps out at us. We could place in comments if we see a gem? What do ya think …luv n luck from Perth. I wanna become a sheller on YT but in Perth I doubt there’s stuff all. Xxx

What you call Bean Cowries, we call them Rice Cowrie's, heaps of shells there now, Is that near the Mooly River Break Wall? Shame about the Textile cone, would of been a ripper if it wasn't so old. Cheers for now and Keep it real. Brad

I love micro shelling at Point Cartwright. I have several little glass viles full of the sand dollars and beans. I haven’t been up to Qld in so long, I miss it. I’m down in Vic and the best spot I’ve found here is on Phillip Island.

The serious shellers i know - including me- would have scooped up the best-looking parts of grunge pile and put them in something- anything (plastic bag, container, empty cups etc) to take home, dry out, and sort through later, clearly there is a lot more than you plucked out willy-nilly, such as the wentletrap another comment-er pointed out at 14:: 57 and surely much more....don't leave it for the waves to mess around with or reclaim.....
@steverosenthal2570

where was that spot anyway? I saw somebody mentioned Point Cartwright but i dont know if that was the actual spot? I wouldnt mind going back there, I visited Mooloolaba (from the USA) many moons ago.....

The live shell you found is an Atlantic cockle not a scallop dude. Live n learn. I have never found sand dollars as super tiny as you do.
