Welcome to Draw Tip Tuesday!
When I took a break from RU-vid in August, I have filled a lot of sketchbook pages. Today, I'd like to show you the sketchbooks I filled during summer. I've been busy playing, experimenting and enjoying time for drawing!
So... welcome to this Mega Sketchbook Tour!

This is so satisfying to see. It's exactly what I want to do. Perspective is very difficult and stops me. I want to sketch my world. Brooklyn East NY😁and my everyday life. I really want your book It will excite my students I'm sure

Since you actually work in your sketchbooks so super frequently, they truly are very different from both sketchbooks of artists who do most of their drawing/painting outside of their sketchbook, as well as sketchbooks of artists who only use them to collect their polished pieces. In your sketchbooks, the drawings and lines and shapes are so much more confident and loose and playful. They're not just sketches for something else, not just practice pages, not just polished end results. They are truly a playground for your mind, hand, and creativity. I love them so much. (By the way, another artist here on youtube that has a similar sketchbook approach is Helen Welsh; I apologise in advance if I already mentioned her in your comment sections before; your styles are very different, but you have a similar focus on daily playfulness). It's always a joy to see such an extensive collection of all that you've been putting down on paper, and to hear a bit about your thoughts and memories surrounding them. Thank you for sharing. ☘️

While plenty of books on the market teach you how to draw, Koosje's book tells us why to draw.
