@@Shinkajo My intention of the sentence was to draw attention that younger women of more vulnerable populations (which happen to be of lower socio-economic positioning) are especially targeted. On another note, I think it might be helpful if you chose to take a lesser combative approach. Being a contrarian jus’ cus’ isn’t especially conducive for meaningful conversation and dialogue. I find that my life is astoundingly more meaningful when I’m not such a douche.

That’s a personal problem mega yacht owners are living at their ability it doesn’t make sense to pocket watch like there was some discrepancy without putting the work in people like to talk abou Russian oligarchs but what about the Ukrainian ones who kicked off the war

Should just require the owners to register it in their country of residence. Then if they register to live in Liberia they have to spend at least half the year there 👍

The people that own these mega yachts don’t need help from the US Navy. They hire a bunch of retired navy seals for their own private security.

@@anthonyburlison2044 I mean I used to work in yachting and you're so far off the mark there. Maybe someone like Trump would do that, but most yachts are just toys. The owners are almost never on the boat, so they're not paying for someone to protect a load of waitresses and housekeepers. What's your own experience? On the boats I worked on the staff had to share bedrooms half the time - there certainly wasn't room for any soldiers and all their kit, most of the time we could barely fit the chefs aboard!

I agree, it would've been nice for him to include some facts instead of making baseless statements. With regards to yachts flagging in the Cayman or Marshall Islands, or other red ensign countries, it doesn't afford them (m)any advantages other than tax; unlike US flagged vessels they follow MLC 2006, a workers' rights convention that provides more strict rules on hours of rest than those flagged in the US (and other non-IMO Whitelist countries). Most yachts will still follow ISM, or an adapted version, which helps ensure crew and vessel safety and environmental protection. Sure the container ships have convenience flags and have a lot of employees from third-world countries as they're a business and in the business of making money, but yacht owners are seeking the best with pretty much no budget, they're going to get a better vacation if their crews are happy, well fed and looked after.
