The person who gave Derrick the gift forfeited his ownership to the gift the second it was opened by Derrick on the podcast. That's how gifts inherently work. I can't buy you a new PS5 and then three days after you receive it, give your brother permission to take it from you. It's yours by that point. Garrett had a somewhat understandable chain of logic and shares the blame with the original sender, but at the end of the day did not respect the new ownership of the TimTams and rejected the sanctity of the bit, which is a disservice to Derrick. Sad day
