He is a professional guitarist, don't forget this. At this level it is normal... don't expect some missed notes, Metallica is a different story 😂 Probably due to Scandinavian long nights and weather they are "forced" to play (guitar) and go to the gym 😂
Here in Finland, we have long and dark winters, and often young people in rural areas are often driven by a lack of better things to do to start bands, then practice, perform, drink beer and have fun. Many good domestic bands come from smaller towns/rural area, like these: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-tcvCKwv4uTA.htmlsi=6fpZNnCrUOb6pvmq
That was the cleanest Tornado solo I have ever seen (at live). It was like 99.9% studio quality. Teemu is getting better and better with these songs, and I thought it was already perfect on his first show.
Exactly (except Marty ofc). He's got that perfect tone and vibrato too. I never liked Kiko's Tornado interpretation, especially that famous part of the solo.
Ha ha. Teemu is a true Finnish guy. Almost no facial expressions at all but he delivers the most important thing. The essence and beauty of metal guitar 🖤🖤🖤
I get goosebumps listening to Teemu solo on Tornado. His bend is 99% what Marty does. Moreover I applause his ability to set aside his own ego as guitarist and choose to do what fans want to hear.
So fans want to hear 100% perfect the studio album? Want a robot repeating the album note by note without feeling anything at the moment? If so why not suggest Megadeth to use playback instead?
OMFG!! Teemu is just so unreal. Kiko is my favorite replacement, but there is no denying Teemu is just.... holy shit! That dude is in his own league. He leaves me speechless.
This is actually the best non-Marty version of the solo I've ever heard. I've been a fan of Teemu since Wintersun and Imperanon days, so I always knew he would be more than sufficient to stand in for Kiko, but I really hope that this stint in Megadeth does wonders to elevate his career. Talent like this deserves better than waiting around for Jari Mäenpää's OCD, hopefully he'll be flooded with good offers after this tour concludes.
Chris Poland, Marty Friedman, Chris Broderick, Teemu Mäntysaari, Gar Samuelson, Nick Menza, Chris Adler, Dirk Verbueren, and of course David Ellefson are all top 1% insane talent level and skill of all time professionals their instruments.
I'm not familiar with Teemu at all, or his previous experience, but I have to say I'm very impressed. He seems very comfortable both on stage and with the band in such a short amount of time. His playing also seems excellent. I'm still hoping Kiko's absence is only temporary as he is one of my favorite guitarists of all time, but if this was the new permanent arrangement, I don't think he's a bad replacement.
Teemu's ability to play exactly like Marty is incredible. The best Megadeth lead guitarist, second only to Marty Friedman. Outstanding, incredible musician.
Just saw these guys last Thursday, what a friggin show they put on. Probably the tightest group musically ive seen. And voice wise, even tho he sounded a little rough here, after everything Daves been thru, he can still hit most of his notes. Awesome🤘
Forget about the technique and precision here. Teemu knows how to portray a perfect 'feel' for that Tornado solo. Previous guys after Marty all had their own things going, but never the right feel. This guy has it in spades.
Whereas Kiko is a play it as you hear it kind of guy, Teemu on the other hand doesn't mind playing em as they're written. Dude just calmly overwhelms and make it look easy.
Teemu has been hired for the tour as a replacement guitarist with a quick schedule. Compared to that, he performs brilliantly: Let's expect more of his own patterns if he is hired as a permanent guitarist. It's a little strange to compare the original guitarist who created the solo patterns of the songs to someone whose job it is to repeat them. If Teemu is involved in the creation of the next album, we will compare only then.
...and shout out to Dirk absolutely crushing it on the drums back there. Best I've heard drums wise since Nick. (Rip). No surprise though. I've been a Soilwork fan forever, so knew he would destroy with Megadeth. It's easy stuff for him.
@bagasprakosa994 I think the new stuff is actually pretty good. I've been into Megadeth from the beginning. Always loved them. But Dave's voice is really shot and has been for the last decade (at least). If Dave swallowed his ego and got a real singer they would sound a thousand times better. Right now I cannot listen to them live based on Dave's voice. It's literally painful to watch (and hear).
@@Boudica2342 decades, They should have hired a new singer since 2002 when the first feel signs of dave's bad vocal health were starting to appear. Now he can't sing without showing signs of extreme pain both in his face and tone. but Dave's ego was and is what always put megadeth down, the band now lives on nostalgia, look at dave who is wearing his rust in piece costume since 2010, or the setlist who never touches on The System Has Failled, United Abominations (man I miss sleepwalker and washington is next) or any side b of the 90's albums (he is teasing Prince of Darkness and never playing my favorite Risk song in every show...)
@@bagasprakosa994 making I agree, but performing... Megadeth songs are hard as fuck don't get me wrong, but he can't perform Soldier On (from the last album) without ignoring most of the high (not even that high) notes
Oh lmao that's actually my hand blocking Dave as he introduces A Tout Le Monde haha Sorry I can't help how tall I am Oh... and blocking quite a few other things. Sorry again lol
Guitarists from the north are always very hardworking and disciplined. Teamu is the best after Marty indeed. The little nuances that Marty adds while playing belong to him only, so in theory, even someone who plays like an album recording cannot give the listener the feeling that Marty makes while playing. This makes Teamu Beast but Marty Best.
@@dantredogborsa7048 People just seems to forget that Kiko trained this guy for Megadeth, and also recorded 2 insane albums with them, leading the band to a whole new level. You can find a lot of RU-vidrs that play those solos perfectly, but we have to see Teemu's creative side on the next record to reach a more fair conclusion on this.
@@dantredogborsa7048 I remember of Broderick. He is an awesome player, and was awesome with Megadeth as well, but the albums with him were kind of forgettable, imo.
Estuve viendo nuevamente las interpretaciones de kiko y de broderick, para llegar a la conclusión que quien mejor ejecuta el solo de tornado es este nuevo guitarrista.
Ok, Teemu is accurate in notes and feel on super hard solos / songs like Tornado but on this I feel like as easy as it is clean, rhythm, both solos, he is missing the original "feel" of this song! I actually can't believe it because I was singing the praises of Teemu up until now! Marty is a guitar *GOD*
Maybe so. Truth is, that Teemu can easily replace Friedman and other former lead guitarists in Megadeth, but I wonder, how Friedman would replace Teemu In Wintersun? Temu plays that notorious "Winter Madness" solo live too.
It's a bit sad to see so many phone recordings even at a Megadeth concert these days. Sure we can see this video thanks to that but the sound quality is still mediocre so I would rather wait for official uploads.
