You're not missing anything; I saw them live in 2005 on their Gigantour with Dream Theater. Mustaine got wasted in the last 30 minutes of the show and kept screwing up his riffs and solos. After this experience, I'm not paying to see a couple of people getting drunk on stage. Needless to say, Dream Theater stole the show!
@@douglaskelly1394 Say it for yourself gringo, you have them every weekend, for some people, they live in countries with bad conditions and it's their dream to see them live no matter if they are wasted during the last 5 min of the show.
Kiko and Dirk are the new Friedman and Menza imo, I honestly think if you played We'll be back for someone that hasn't listened to Megadeth since Rust In Peace they'd think they were still in Megadeth. I loved Adler on Dystopia but Dirk on the new album I almost threw up how nasty his drumming is!
Dave sounding really good and clear again.. Anyone doubting he has improved vocally have been proven wrong on this tour.. He sounds great.. High notes.. No straining.. Held notes.. Fluttering.. Best he has sung in a decade at least.
@@dinocarosi4303 Glad you enjoyed it, it was a very successful tour just like the first leg was.. I've seen them 4 times.. Its been a number of years since I've had the chance to go.. When the new album comes out I'll go to that world tour for sure when/if it swings though Wales..
I love Ellefson and he will always be Megadeth, but James is a better player, and a hell of a lot more musical. He writes some memorable basslines. When I think of Washington is Next, I hear that bassline. He strays outside the guitar a lot more than Dave. And Kiko and Dirk is like having Marty and Gar in the band at the same time. Really, this has been the best lineup in a long time. This lineup would have killed it back in the day, too bad it's at the tail end of Megadeth's career.
@@Good-Enuff-Garage That's probably true - I can't really tell as I have not seen a single performance by this particular lineup live. The last time I was to their show was in 2010, twice, for that matter :-) First in Czech republic at the Sonisphere festival, then, a few 10 days later, in Slovakia at TopFest - Chris, Shawn and David were the three musketeers there. But as I have seen the 'classical' lineup with Marty and Nick and a few show in between, I think I can compare, and I can't say I liked one lineup vastly more than the other.. Megadeth's performances are always very strong, which is something truly admirable.
It seemed that he changed to the neck pickup for some reason and then hit the volume when switching back to the bridge. I'm wondering why he switched to the neck in the first place.
Kiko changes pickups a lot during his songs. Since ever. Fast parts with lots of notes he uses the neck pickup Fulltone bends and unison bends he changes to bridge pick up (even if it’s the middle of the solo) It’s just he’s style. If I’m not wrong he got inspired by malmsteen who also do this a lot.
Yeah, slash does that on Sweet Child too. The first part using neck pup (more smooth to the melodical lines) and the second parte using bridge (more crispy and aggressive to shred)
Bring tears to my eyes to see and hear Dave being SO FKN AWESOME on a live performance after all the hard battle he has being trought. And Kiko nailed the solo!
Congratulations Mr. LoMenzo for being officially named the bass player for Megadeth now ! Loved your playing since United Abominations and you were great at the "Blood in the Water" tour show ! 🤘☢️ 🤘 Love the quote you said " some people just never get tired of it [ hearing the songs ] " I don't !!!!
I was up in the field too... Fuking awsome concert!! Holy Wars... Holy shit it was wikkid!!! I found they could have turned the monitors up a bit as it was way quieter than Lamb of God... If it was louder it would have been waaay better, crazier.... I only had minimal headbangin going on... My neck SHOULD have been wrecked today lol... Nevertheless, Seeing Dave for the first time and opening with Hangar almost brought a tear to my eye lol. Would have loved to hear Countdown and Wake Up Dead.. but heyi would have kicked myself in the ass if i missed it!! Thanks so much for posting.
Seen them in CT..at Mohegan Sun casino... What a great show Megadeth put on... After all Dave's been thru....Dave sound's pretty damn good in 2022 and the band is awesome!!!
Very strong performance by Dave. I was surprised to see Chris Broderick on stage with In Flames. Feels good to see how much support metal still has 🤘 Thanks for recording this great video
I bought the same pair of Adidas daves wearing last month I just now noticed tho. What can I say?...Dave's think alike. Damn this sounds amazing. Glad it was included in the set list!
Was upfront in second row with a backpack. I went absolutely nuts for Megadeth. They & Trivium were so fucking killer that night. One of the best concerts I ever been to.
Saw them few days ago in Rockfest. Dave has improved quite a lot vocally, a little break and recovering can do wonders, he had lots of energy and the show was great! Much better than the Scorpions that performed after 'em.
I wish they'd play less of the same songs you hear every tour and more rare songs. I know you "gotta play the hits" but damn. Let's hear something we haven't heard in forever.
@@avuspeed If you haven't found that yet I highly recommend you this vid: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-KVV-HU0BM-Y.html Something truly mesmerizing.
