Just shows how great Friedman was in Megadeth, the tasty notes in his solos really added so much colour to these songs. Definitely a golden era for Megadeth
His note choice, vibrato and feel made him very distinctive. It’s one thing to play all that but it’s another to be the one to have written it with your own personal touch.
This is really true, I do think kiko is a great addition in the new line up though... i wasnt to fond of the newest album but dystopia has some great tracks on that album with some really juicy guitar playing.
What surprises me the most is the lack of power chords, not complaining, but the genius of Dave Mustaine and Friedman really shows here, this is a classic.
Hanger 18: When the song is over but the solo continues for another few minutes, in an out right explosion of excellence in speed, melody, and kick-assery.
Your comment further cements what a genius Marty truly is. I remember an interview (you can google it), where he recalls asking Dave what kinds of solos he (Dave) wants for the song. Dave told him to come up with something, which sounds "extraterrestrial". Well, Marty clearly nailed that request 😂.
You really nail these Megadeth songs man. You don't just get the playing and the tone right but you also nail the minute timing nuances. You can especially notice it in the Marty solos. Most people play them on the beats and he doesn't typically land them perfectly on the beats. You're one of the few people that seems to get the nuances right.
When I would try to play heavy metal tabs like this as a teen, I would always say "this sounds NOTHING like the record! why does it look so simple when it's not?" Then watching it performed like this and it becomes clear, it's amazing how much good technique can do.
wow man, esta es la versión MAS EXACTA que es cuché en TODA INTERNET, está tocada IGUAL a la original, incluso el TONO DE LA GUITARRA ES EL IDENTICO!!!
Special Thanks to Patrons who voted for the background in this video. The choices were 1. Megadeth frozen in capsules 2. Dave Mustaine Frozen in a capsule and 3. Ugly looking Alien. You guys are awesome and thanks so much for your support!
He's not underrated and definitely not criminally underrated. He is admired by many and is recognized by almost everyone in the guitar world and even more so in Japan. If you're talking about people in general and not just in the guitar world, well that's basically every virtuoso out there as well. I doubt your average Katy Perry fan, for instance, knows who Steve Vai or Yngwie Malmsteen are. Sorry, I just wanted to argue lol. I also really like the solo you chose but my favorite would probably be the one that starts at 2:25.
Just remember these things probably take some time to throw together especially when the tabs are so accurate. But yes Pantera would be a great choice :)
Excellent and flawless cover! There isn’t an album in existence that straddles the line between thrash in “prog” more perfectly!!! This song is the biggest example of that!
Probably Marty is sweeping without even noticing or wanting it 😂 At the end of the day sweeping is the only technique that allows him to play those really fast sequences of arpeggios...even though it's also true that he's not abusing it
@@user-ei7el5mp4d Yeah i always took it to meant that he didn't just sweep up and down constantly, that he used it as a means of getting to his next lick
Can’t tell you how much I appreciate these tabs and videos. Incredible work every time! I can imagine how much time and effort these take and just want to tell you you’re fantastic! Take care.
I'm surprised by the speed with which you release covers so often, especially because lately you have released 2 songs from rust in peace that are quite complex ... muchas gracias bro
Man you are a wizard sounded so good man it will take me foreva to learn just the intro to that you make it look so easy I better keep practicing I spose so daunting trying to learn lead guitar.loved your chops dude..
I read and saw in some videos about this top song by Megadeth, that several rifs are connected with the song “The Call of Ktulu” by Metallica, its introduction is very similar.
