@@sixbrokeneggs In 2002 Dave Mustaine had nerve damage to his left arm, that being said, he couldn't play guitar anymore, or do anything with his left arm anymore, here is an article about the incident (he healed his arm in the 15 months when he stopped playing guitar and started doing nerve therapy). "On January 7th, 2002, while at the hospital, I sat on a chair which I hung my arm over the back of. The hard edge along the top of the seat back cut off the circulation to my radial ulnar nerve. After approximately two hours I woke up and my left hand was numb. I went to the nurse's station and they said it was the hair-tie I had on my wrist. I wish. I had to go into town to see a specialist and he said that I would be lucky if I ever gained even 80% of the use of my arm again. This was unacceptable for me, so I left the rehab, against medical advice and when home to Scottsdale, Az. to get my arm checked out by a city doctor. My Dr. Rahj Singh, a expert in nerve damage, spinal damage, etc. said that I may get 100% use of my arm, but that I would never play the same. He then prescribed the braces you see [here]: Photo#1, Photo#2, Photo#3. I then proceeded to Nathan Koch for physical therapy for 4 months of sessions, three times a week, 1-1.5 hours a day. After I finally got my feeling back in my hand, I realized that I could not even hold a feather in that hand and started a grueling 1-year weight-training program. 13 months after I hurt myself, a personal assistant that had worked for me died in hospice of drug damage, and I was asked to play. It was the first time I had held a guitar since November 17, 2001. Since then, I have completely healed and started taking lessons intermittently to re-learn my trade. After an additional 5 months I decided that I was going to play again, but that is another story". www.blabbermouth.net/news/megadeth-s-dave-mustaine-how-i-injured-my-arm/
Dude, if you don't think this entire performance is dubbed you are in denial lol. The vocals are extremely obvious, but there are certain sections of songs where 3 different guitars are playing. It's still enjoyable though, the setlist is great
His soloing fits Endgame. But what made Endgame so good is Dave songwriting, nothing else. Also, can you name one good solo on Endgame better than the ones on Holy Wars, Hangar 18, Five Magics, Poison Was The Cure, Lucretia and Tornado Of Souls? Yeah me neither
Dave wrote %99 of the Endgame. The Broderick only did some solos according to Dave's visions. The drummer and 2.nd guitarists were always session musicians after Friedman and Menza left the band
Love this song I think it’s one of the best they’ve done in many of their recently albums. Kicks ass and reminiscent of their hey day. Verse riff is like a holy wars style.
too perfect to be true... they did the vocals in the studio for the dvd release but if find a clip from a guy filming from the camera or phone u ll see that the vocals are realy different
i said who cares that megadeth never reached the top .... music is not about being the best ....but making it best you can ........MEGADEDTH ..........FOREVER......
You guys, you dont hear the crowd because in a dvd they usually edit it out so you can hear just the music. chill people, use some common knowledge. besides, if you listen to the studio and then this live version back to back you can tell the difference.
Dave Mustaine must be some kind of demi-god of metal. Megadeth's riffing is already pretty complicated and this dude both plays it AND sings while doing it with the ease of someone who is just strumming chords on an acoustic guitar.
Mustaine did say they would be done at cryptic writings, then they never officially broke up,but mustaine also said he was done after remaking all of his songs and we see how that turned out, there still together and making another album
I didn't saw that possibility one year ago, when I posted my original comment. But I agree with you, Megadeth is just the best thing you can hear for metal, there's so much diversity, everything you would need to hear in a metal band they have, with Metallica and Iron Maiden, for example, you listen one time and then you get sick of it, it seems like all the songs are the same.
Al Petrelli is one badass player . Not☝ To take anything away Fron Chris Poland , Jeff Young or Marty. But i think. Megadeth with Al. Pietrelli is the tightest most kick ass lineup. Ever.🔥✊
if I recall correct about 1 1/2 years ago, this was the first Megadeth song I had ever heard, it wasn't this video, it was an older video of this performance. I think I had stumbled upon one of those Kirk Hammett vs Dave Mustaine videos. I heard the solo for Kick the Chair and saw everyone favored Dave so I checked out Kick the Chair, IT BLEW MY MIND!!!!! (After that I looked into Holy Wars, now, I listen to these guys every day and play their music)
Yes live concerts are mostly overdubbed on video, but the difference is bands like megadeth can actually play the songs. You know a band is bullshit when the camera is flying around and not doing a close-up during solos. Any professionally recorded dragonforce live video is a perfect example.
salut Hubert , tout d’abord merci pour m'voir permit d'élargir ma culture et m'avoir fait découvrir de nouveaux morceaux. Es que tu pourrait faire une vidéo sur motley crue, sa ferait super plaisir ^^
