PazBinv1 Hey come on, Risk isn't that terrible. It's just not a Megadeth album to play. What is terrible is The World Needs A Hero. Just because it's heavier doesn't make it better.
Ian DiLorenzo Nothing wrong with TWNAH. It has 2 bad songs: Moto Psycho and Losing My Senses. Everything else is either great like 1000, Dread, Return, Silent Scorn, and When or good with Warhorse, Bridges, and TWNAH. And don't forget Promises, it's a good ballad. An underrated Megadeth album.
There´s far too much cocaine/crack/heroin nehind that debut for the actual members to enjoy it . Listen to Ellefson´s take on it on Sepulquarta talking to Andreas and Paulo Jr. - he addresses that .
@brettplaysgames3053 Horrible mixing. The re-recorded vocals sound like garbage(different lyrics some times, like wtf?), the drums sound flat(Especially that horrendous snare), the bass sound is busted and ruins the low end to the point where the albums completely lose their groove, the guitars are just so average sounding with no oomph. One big problem is also that the mixing sounds the same on all albums, so albums like Youthanasia and KIMB have completely lost their uniqueness and sound super generic instead.
+Shinra Kazuya That´s always been Mustaine´s problem ...he lacked a father figure so James was the victim ...it´s plain to see, he wishes to be Hetfield, he´s a born again christian these days cause he couldn´t stop believing in Hetfield´s capacity to be omipresent, omniscient even , he would eventually die and James would be there in a throne, that drove him to escapism through alcohol, drugs, whatever necessary to keep these thoughts at bay... would be trippy to be Mustaine´s shrink ,guys, imagine how fried up that brain must be with so many drugs to stop believing in James ´all mightiness. Lars, on the otherhand, represented Judas to Dave cause he knew deep inside that God could never come with a danish accent, hence he must have betrayed him, the odd sounding Judas !!!!!! - not Jaaaaaaaaaaaames Guys , these bong rips are doing me in ... sorry
DaNZ 27 yea I'm a early 2000s baby but I grew up in the time rock and metal was still mainstream so I got to hear bands like this Bon Jovi Guns n Roses and Sebastian bach I love Thrash I'm starting a Thrash and glam band idk how that is going to work but people tell me I have the voice for both
Honestly vocals XD. KIMB era vocal parts are actually pretty high and here Dave tries his best to not sound like a Megaduck. It's not terrible, but isn't great either. But guitars are out of this world.
When he said former guitarist, and then “we’re gonna play a song from our first record” you can tell people really thought it was gonna be Chris Poland and were going crazy, but that still hasn’t happened to this day😔 I WANT POLAND TO PLAY WITH MEGADETH AGAIN
I love K.King but I always come back to his quote in 2015 for a laugh: "Well, Dave was riffing very differently than me...when I joined Megadeth. His riffs were very different than my approach..." To my ears: "I could't play the Goddamn songs cos they were SOOOO fuckin' hard..." lol!!!!
I wish it would of been Chris Poland that walked out. People be like "Who's this?" And then get their balls blown off when the solo comes up... Not that Broderick is bad or anything.
Poland was, and still is the best guitarist they've ever had. Yes. Friedman was awesome, but only Poland sounds like Poland does. He set the bar. And it's still high as fuck for some guitarplayers. Truth is, you can imitate to sound like Marty or anyone else in their back catalogue. Except for Poland. His playing is accurate, fast and distinctive.
1:06 "Marty Friedman?" you can only wish pal. Dave was being a pretty good troll here making everyone think that he was going to ask Marty to join him on stage.
Just so you know... Kerry King was in Megadeth for a while until he left because he thought being in Megadeth was a waste of time. King and Mustaine had problems with each other after that, but they resolved it now.
Man, Dave and his new guitarist are shredding away in this one and Kerry King (one of my favorite guitarists) is just up there having a good old time playing with Megadeth. That's just like when I saw Slayer and King Diamond and Kerry came out to do a couple of songs with King Diamond. 😃 🤘 😈
Damn, man. Chris Poland was such absolute speed back in the day. Even Broderick has a tough time replicating that. Also, I'm collecting parts of my brain. Rattled my head too goddamn hard.
Kerry was just filling in as a temp until he found someone to fill it permanently. He never planned on staying with Megadeth. Slayer was always his #1 priority.
Yes, Broderick really is quite amazing. He plays all the solos near perfect, better than anyone that has covered it in the band except the original players. He covers things on Rust in Peace that would make you think Freidman is playing it.
Damn, been awhile since I've played this song and I forgot how badass it is...one of those LP's that doesn't have a crappy song on it. Even the Boots cover is badass...if Dave woulda just worn Sinatra's boots on stage lol.
Richard Skipper neither did Chris. The guy is technically brilliant, but he hasn't produced one memorable solo. Poland and Friedman, as well as .Kiko are so much better
Dave sounded crap for most of part in 2009-2011 and in recent years. However, he miraculously sounded great for this song despite having to hit a very high notes!
Nobody has been able to accurately play Chris Poland's solo's since he left the band (including Marty). I was commending Broderick for actually being able to play them well.
It would be epic to see Marty Friedman with Dave Mustaine and Chris Broderick on stage, two of the best guitarists of Megadeth on stage! : Marty Friedman and Chris Broderick
With SLAYER calling it a career, IF KFK ever got an invite to play in Megadeth again, He could get Mustaine back into the vibe of writing thrash again which is what Megadeth lost years ago... That would be killer!
