Peace Sells...was such a heavy and technical album, so powerful. Everyone talks too much about, Rust in Peace, but Peace Sells is simply pure heaviness with pin point accuracy in the execution. Just wonderful
@K W while all thrash metal bands talked shit about glam metal, most of their musicianship sucked. But I think bands like Megadeath had full right to say that. Probably the first progressive thrash metal band.
I love how the ending is different than any version I've heard. Dave didn't hit a couple of the high notes where the scale would end, then he played a descending diminished scale instead. Totally scary and interesting sounding. Truly epic.
A B Bikes Cars N’ Guitars Whenever I attempt to learn a megadeth riff I contemplate taking some meth cause that’s the only way this shit is fucking playable lol
"Dad, why is my sister named rose?" "Because your mother loves roses son." "what about my name then?" "enough questions, Megadeth performing "The Conjuring" at the Grugahalle in Essen, Germany on May 22, 1988, on the So Far, So Good... So What! tour."
@@metalmaniac6896 There’s an interview around where he said was was into that stuff briefly. The interview is audio only, floating around in youtube. About 28minutes long. Fun to listen to!!
Line Up: Dave Mustaine - lead and rhythm guitars and vocals Dave Ellefson - bass guitar and backing vocals Jeff Young - lead and rhythm guitars Chuck Behler - drums They´ve just recorded the amazing album So Far...So Good...So What Mustaine has fired all of them after Tour.
I am 21 years old, and my heart lies in the original heavy metal age. Megadeth, is by far my favorite band, and I like many bands. ROCK ON DAVE MUSTAINE, RIP NICK MENZA
Reminds me of Mercyful Fate. Like 5 good licks in every song. Mix of Harmonic, Jazz, and Blues scales in the heaviest scene of the time. All really good indvidually and when the chemistry is there you can make something that lasts forever and holds up time and and time again to new listeners.
When the grandkids ask me what life was like when I was a kid, I pull out my old BC Rich and jump to about 3:04 and let 'em have it. There they are, wide eyed and speechless:)
colby762 Before bullet belts became da shit in the 80s.Wearing a primary chain from a Harley as a belt was the shit. There is a practical reason to wear either one,but FTW. You are you.
a friend played me "peace sells" when it came out and i thought...not bad. a few months later(this was in'87) i saw megadeth open for alice cooper and i was hooked. in fact i don't remember much of a.c.'s set i was so blown away by dave and the boys.
maaan, been listening to deth for years and ill tell u, iv never gotten sick of the peace sells or KIMB albums. i still listen to these albums, as for my metallica ones, well, theyre collecting dust and all scratched an shit
i saw them one night when peace sells just came out , over kill opened up for them . was at a place called the boat house in norfolk ,va. i got right close to where dave was playing , i wanted to see if they really could play . oh hell yes . better than the cassette. i wonder if i was annoying him , i just stared while he played, amazing. took notes.
Wow, what a kickass performance/song! Everyone's on top-form and full of energy here, even Dave's voice is perfect. For me Dave's live voice really nose-dived during the 90s...
