Portugal is covered in megalithic monuments and sacred sites, so we set off on a camping trip in November 2017 to visit some of the more interesting specimens.
We begin our tour in the area known as the 'Megalithic Universe' where we visit the Portuguese Stonehenge and the tallest dolmen in the world. We continue to visit a number of standing stones and more stone circles as well as a square stone formation, a stone alignment, free-standing dolmen, dolmen within burial mounds and even a couple of dolmen that have been converted into chapels. We also cross the border into Spain to visit some of the hundreds of stone boars and bulls known as Los Verracos and we visit some of the sacred sites with monasteries built on top of them, including the infamous Sanctuary of Fatima.
In this film we join the dots with other ancient sites around the world and we show a large number of crystals, both within the stone structures and on the ground around them.

Cromeleque dos Almendres, construction began in the 6th millennium and its use ended in the 3th millennium with the passage from Neolithic to Copper Age. Only in the 5th millenium did the construction of the dolmens begin. And who said that the Xarez Cromeleque was moved without scientific means?!? WTF??? Differential GPS, photos, site prospecting and preparation, careful removal of material, etc ... You should see what was done to a Roman fort that could not be removed from the reservoir !!! BTW this big lake is really big, it's Lake Alqueva, the biggest artificial lake in Europe! Anta da Candeeira = Candeeira Dolmen, there are several in that area, in fact I do believe that the Alentejo is the place in the entire World with the biggest concentration of Dolmens, Menhirs and Cromeleques! That dolmen even appears on a wine label from the Redondo region, if I am not wrong. The small hole, or "window", was most likely made by shepherds, who used the dolmen for shelter. Remember that the dolmen would be all covered with earth and small stones, so the small hole would have no use, and the dolmen always has an entrance with a corridor facing east, where the sun rises, I only know one dolmen with entrance facing west, and it is in the Lisboa region, whith domens made of limestone rocks. Also, some dolmens have particularities in the stones facing inwards, in order to provide natural beauty for the dead and for visitors. Rock faces of siliceous schists, or with ichnofossils, or with igneous-metamorphic minerals. Imagine yourself entering a dark corridor with a torch, and when you get to the chamber you notice a bright place, because the siliceous schists reflect a lot of light, or you can see "dancing effects" on the faces of the stones because the ichnofossils seem to do this in the light of the torch, or the minerals on the faces of the stones provide a different aesthetic from the other stones. The dolmens were used during centuries, if not milleniuns, for burial purposes, of course. And usually the ancients brought stones from relatively close locations, perhaps less than three miles away. You should have contacted someone from Portugal's archeology services ... the Municipality of Redondo and Évora could have provided invaluable help... Ask, or search for the Leisner archive. They were a German couple who, during WWII, went to Portugal to study archeology and, unless I am mistaken, stayed until the 70s. Thank you for your visit, and also for your music choice.

Did not the Irish, Welsh, Scots, and Others, such as Manx or Breton derive from the CELTS? So, if the Celts had migrated to ancient Portugal, how much of the Portuguese have traces of Celtic Blood and DNA in Them? The Celts were not necessarily a pure race of European lineage, if there ever was such of thing as racial purity in the entire history of the human race, for even the utterly extinct species of Humankind were in the far past an unknowable blending of unknown mixtures of utterly unknown peoples, much much further back.

Mmm…. Okay dude, I try hard be unbiased and to keep an open mind as much as I can, but I’m gonna have to burst your bubble just a little bit as far as your “energy transfer” theory is concerned…none of those stones have crystals “growing” on them, on any surface. If you were familiar with how crystals form, you’d know that crystals can _ONLY_ form in liquid, usually water or brine, whatever solvent the minerals that make up the crystals have been dissolved in. As that substrate cools, the minerals within drop out of solution, bind to one another in an organized molecular pattern, and voila; crystals. They can not physically form in open air. Any exposed crystals you may see on the surface of any stone exposed to the air are native to the rock, and formed when it did. They become exposed via the weathering and erosion the stone experiences in its “lifetime,” and may be uneven because the stone has obviously been moved, likely more than once, and therefore the effects of nature on the stone is uneven across the surface. I’m not saying the crystals that occur on/in the ground around the vicinity of megalithic sites are unrelated, they may very well be, but for the ones that are still attached to the host rock they formed on, no more growth is possible. Still, cool to see these spots and thanks for your effort in showing them to us.
@ModernExplorers
@ModernExplorers 2 года назад
Im not saying they did form on the surface just that it looks like they did. Also liquid could be placed on the surface of the rocks and then they form from that liquid. Also with enough heat you can liquify rock.

The reason why, you get growth on one of the sides and no growth on the other. is because, you will find the side displaying the growth, points North. the growth and moss is due to reduced exposure to sunlight. If ever lost in a forest, the side of the trees exhibiting the most growth, points North.

color variation on the surface of a standing stone. That’s a stone re-erected from a fallen position. A fallen half buried stone has more erosion on the exposed part and usually the exposed part is darker.

@@ModernExplorers , it was a temple to Sol (Sun, god Sun). The chamber is facing West and supposedly is totally lighted inside during the sunset of the solstice of Summer, so, it's a sun-clock and a sun-calendar. Originally it was totally covered by sand, as most of the temples like this. It is believed to be Celtic and 7.000 years old.

Edgar Cayce says that when Atlantis was destroyed circa 9600 BC, the survivors fled first to the “Pyrenees” Spain & Portugal, before many of them moved on to settle in Egypt, perhaps these people in tandem with locals started new cultures that built these megaliths after Atlantis destruction.

Absolutely awesome!! Thank you for the excelent video about my country's ancient culture. Those tombs are probably sites for initiation rituals of passage from child to men. Those holes are way older than medieval times. Sleep there overnight with blood. Sugestion: why don't you make a video about the ancient Castro Culture of Portugal and Galicia which has it's main core located between the rivers Minho (MINIUS) and Douro (DWR)? Thera a very nice documentary about the Castro Culture and it's monumental cities and it's called "The Celtic Legacy" and it starts with the Atlantic Megalithic Culture. (Recently, archeologists discovered engravings from the neolithic period that place the founding date of these cities way earlier than what was believed: 4000 BC!) From my point of view, the base of Western Europe population (Portugal, Spain, Britain, Ireland and France) are not Indo-Europeans for they didn't come via Central Europe, but via North Africa, crossing the Strait of Gibraltar. And the Galic (Celtic) languages classified as an indo-european branch language is, in fact, from the arabic-semitic branch (see Langfocus Channel, for example). So the current paradigm is all wrong. Greetings!

I wonder if those stone Menhir might be ancient obelisks which may be a conduit of energy passing from one site to another. Like the idea Tesla had for his sharing of electricity through the air, but at an unseen level of transference. Also, remember those stone cavities you believe were for people who have died. But people in that period were much shorter than people currently living. Were any human remains ever found in those cavities? Could they be for creating human figures like statues? Oh here’s a far fetched idea for the dolmans. Could they be the antediluvian version of air bnb Megalithic style to last an eternity for the slow traveler.

Looks like another giant petroglyph similar to the Stonehenge. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-6meaU1QcSdA.html These stones are probably the stones mention by ancient cultures that fell from the sky, like hail stones during a lightning storm but during the time of the exodus when there were electrical storms that rained stoned from the sky, excavated older mountains and built new mountains.

According to our culture. Megaliths/monoliths are erected for various purposes either by individuals or by the religious community. There are types and varieties of megaliths . As we see in places other that Castlerigg ,the menhirs and the dolmen. In our culture menhirs are called Mawshynrang meaning stone male , they are erected on basis of memorial of one renown individual ( called Mawbynna-nam) or on religious basis( called Mawbynna-niam). Mawbynna-nam is taller/ longer than Mawbynna-niam. We can easily categories between the two by the numbers, if three-three are there means it is Mawbynna-niam but if there are more that three means it is Mawbynna-nam. The cromlech is called Mawkynthei or stone female. Dolmens near the market / on the road or way of a passerby are called Mawshongthait meaning those who are tired and weary can sit and relax . Some of the varieties of megaliths and their functions are: (I) Mawbynna-nam Mawbynna, in our case it was erected if some clan wants to keep a memory of their ancestors or if there is something unusual is happening in the area. Mawlum - it is Mawbynna-nam being erected at higher altitudes or hilly areas by the rich clans before the ritual of Mawbah. Mawkait- Same as Mawlum but ritual ceremony is not there. Ka Kor- same as Mawkynthei but its only difference is it is built by the richer clans for others . Ki Palong- same as Kor but difference is it is built by kings and queens. (II) Mawbynna-niam Mawkjat/ Mawksing/Mawlynti Mawkjat - are meant to make way for the spirit of the deceased member of the clan before keeping their bones or ashes into the Mawbah. Mawksing- ksing is an musical instrument. They are erected during the transportation of mawkjat. Mawlynti- it is erected on a way for cremation of a very old person . Mawshyieng/Mawumkoi Mawshyieng-( it is kind of a cist or a box). Bones of deceased member are washed and wrapped in a clean cloth and are kept inside mawshyieng( maw=stone,shyieng= bones) each member/family have each mawshyieng. Mawumkoi- type of mawshynrang erected in a place where bones of member who died an unnatural dead are being washed before keeping along with other bones of a clan . Mawbah/Kpepbah Mawbah- large cist . Wall of stones, with flat stone on top or a dolmen so to say . Here the final journey of the bones ended/final resting place of the spirit (bones)😁. Bones of each member of a clan must be kept inside once in a blue moon / once in a while(There are exceptions though for some). Its size depends on the size o f clan the larger the size of clan the bigger the Mawbah. Kpepbah- high place supported by staggered piles of stones . It is place where cremation of dead member of a clan is done. Mawklim - This is funny but it is actually there . In our culture when any couple divorced or any of them died ,they believe they are still together in spirit. So in order for a member to get married again they have to erect this mawklim for others to know that they are now clean and sanctify. Our culture believe that if the deceased person is not treated properly. Their uneased spirits roam the earth. But if they are properly done and kept in Mawbah they will be happy spirits in God's lawn. But sadly most of the megaliths/ monolithic, dolmens were destroyed due to the 1897 earthquake. Some they still follow this tradition . They still perform rituals ceremony to this date , on some occasions they still erect monoliths/megaliths . We use to called Ka kñia Ka khriam perform by a Lyngdoh similar to a druid ( if am not mistaken) . As for me I no longer follow this tradition as i am now a Christian. I'm sorry for grammatical errors... That's all. There is no scientific relations in it . It is just culture and beliefs. .

There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown. And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And it repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. And the Lord said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them. But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord . Genesis 6:4‭-‬8

23:40 The Lord states to make your alters of UNCUT stone. Once you figure in the existance of the giants historical texts and the Bible tells us existed, suddenly it all becomes easily explainable.
