@@MichaelMan2000I am not a fan of Matt Walsh but what is a woman is offensive to you??? Which part? The part where the ideologues come up with some crazy gender nonsense?
The purpose was decadence. A passion project brought to life. Does not fit inside a box. Did I like it, not really, but I do still appreciate it for what it was. I'm not going to criticise your dislike, because it's your opinion, but I do disagree on just how "Bad" you think it was. Edit: Speaking of weird movies and passion projects brought to life, check out Mad God. Now that was fkn' weird... and also really bad. lol.
So I'm going to correct you about something: Wow Platiunum is not her real name in the movie, a character asks her what kind of name it is and she says she came up with it while waiting in line for an audtion. Which, I think is to its detriment, I was percectly willing to accept her insane name like everyone else's but they had to go the whole "Well, you're by yourself, why don't I call you Han...Solo..." I weirdly enjoyed Shia LeBeouf's performance, in the same way I did Jared Leto in HOUSE OF GUCCI. Like, obviously the person should maybe banned from movies and maybe civillization but he was so comitted and the Spike TV humor kind of cut through the movie's unearned sense of granduer so it started to becoe magnetic.
You’re very well spoken, very interesting review. Haven’t seen the movie but now I want to just to see how batshit boring/crazy it is. Might make good background noise
Synthetic? Most movies look like that nowadays. Also the faces look either community yellow (this movie) or orange (most modern movies). It's so extreme I can't imagine how not more people are complaining about horrible orange and teal cookie grading. Also the lighting and post processing with all these filters makes everything look like plastic and totally artificial. The worst offender is Argylle. Look at the actors. Even real people look like they were animated these days. It makes watching a movie for me today unbearable. Also movie blood thanks to the color grading looks pinkish/purplish now??? We hat perfected movie boss in the 80s and 90s just to regress to this???
Naked Lunch looks great. At least unlike Megalopolis I can see still skin texture. Look at any movie today and the actors look like wax puppets thanks to all the filters.
@@HawkatanaIn not the original commenter but you know full well what he means. It's sacrificing writing quality at the expense of cheap virtue signaling points. When it becomes more important to have certain people with certain skin colors you will inevitably sacrifice quality since you are not focused on hiring based on merit.
