Can we all just take a moment to appreciate the fact that this video has been here for 12 years. Really thank you man. I remember watching this shortly after the movie came out when I was in high school
In the manga it delves more into their relationship as Bass views MegaMan more as his ultimate rival that only he must defeat. Kind of like a Goku and Vegeta relationship. In the manga equivalent Bass was actually trying to save him from deletion by using his ability to absorb entities since MegaMan ended up taking a hit for Bass. So that in the manga is how Bass Cross MegaMan came to be.
@Joseph Williams they never go into detail about why the crossfusion goes from gold to silver plot wise. It was more of a version gimmick since battle network 5 was split into 2 versions. Team Protoman gives the gold form and Team Colonel gives you the silver form. My best guess would be the forms are caused by the dual nature Megaman and Bass, but thats just a guess.
@@Birdhouseart I like that theory. I thought it was just like a power switch - the gold is all about the Buster Rake and the Silver all about the powers of Darkness.
Their relationship was very interesting. It came as a surprise when he chose to repeatedly save him even though he wanted the destruction of the world.
with the fact that in the show the detail of the soul system is never completelly explained, some times we get doble souls due to contact, in other is a full-out fusion
bass don't sacrificed himself that portal is for a place where is only darknes(i don't remember the name but in the game that portal does this) he oes there to be more powerfull
+Creative Gaming He shot him, to force him to log out. Basically, he saved Mega Man, but in a way that made it look like an attack, because he's not really much for friendship and all that jazz. That, and now he can unequivocally say he beat Mega Man.
And... Megaman=sonic Protoman=knuckles Bass=shadow Dark megaman=metal sonic Roll=Amy Nebula grey=sonic generation final boss Bass cross=shadic(sonic+shadow) Do you agree with me?
Forte.exe has surprised me. I know what kind of a guy he is, and he is usually not the type who would stand up to a villain but with megaman's help he defeated a great evil.
I kinda wish we got a Megaman X anime after watching this. I mean, look at the action! The animation! The everithing! Kinda sucks there is no english version of the movie. That I know of anyway
I'm kinda glad there isn't an English Dub because the script would've been heavily modified for kids, especially back then, so we would've never heard Bass say "sh*t".
@@SnazzySoundwave honestly the contents of this movie are probably why it was never dubbed. This fight scene alone would’ve had a thousand corrections and censors at the time and would’ve probably been a lot of work for the localization team
Wtf happened in the end!? Ehat did Bass/Forte do to Megaman/Rockman!? Did he take the ultimate program just then!? Did he purpously force him to log out thus save him!? I dont know what his intention was!!!!
Bass and megaman were getting sucked into the vortex / dark void. I assume it leads you into the under world / undernet where all the dark navis exist. So yeah, Bass basically saved megaman’s life. Edit: Also, Bass is basically the ruler of the undernet, so I presume that he’s more resistant than megaman, and that’s why he appears later in the series.
@@makototv1035 he isn’t since he’s the only Navi that matches Megaman and sometimes he holds back on purpose because MegaMan is the only Navi that he feels that can rival him and won’t allow him to perish by anyone other than himself. Their relationship is similar to Goku and Vegeta from DBZ alongside Sonic and Shadow from the sonic universe.
@kaze951 NOW, Cross fusion is the Net NAVI version of full synchro or what we know as Hubstyle in the lore (which is made possible by megamans own ultimate ability that is only hinted at in the lore). As such, net navis share their skills, programming, and EMOTIONS. The nature of megaman.exe and forte.exe's Bond is as his greatest rival. Once forte manages to "fuse" with megaman using his own ultimate "Get Ability Program", megamans' own ability overrides it and they cross fuse. After the battle is over and they are being swallowed up, cross fusion megaman can still hear Lan calling out to them. They diffuse, but realizing that while their lives are both doomed, Forte.exe has nothing to lose but his greatest rival. His ONLY bond. While Megaman has too much to lose in the bonds that he has created. Forte, In true nature to their rivalry, can only toss megaman aside to safety. That maniacal laugh at the end is only a personal celebration fueled by pride in that bond ... its as if you can almost hear him say, "Only I have the privilege to delete you . . . and if I can't do it, NO ONE WILL!" ------------------------------------------------ In the MBN lore, Forte.exe was one of the first set of navis developed by sci-lab to operate themselves (auto-navis). He had a great connection with his creator Dr. Cossack (similar to LAN and Megaman). Around the same time, major bugs/ issues started manifesting on the net (from a different entity, Alpha Virus) and many people made forte.exe the scapegoat. Dr. Cossack , with a fondness for his creation and belief in Forte.Exe's tremendous potential, was able to slightly thwart sci-labs attempts to delete forte.exe. Barely alive, Forte scoured the internet, assimilated bugs and fallen navis with his "Get Ability" program, and swore vengeance on humans and other net-navis alike. These emotions fueled by the betrayal of the humans that created him as well as the assumption that his greatest friend, his creator, had been in on the plan to delete him. Eventually, forte goes into deep sleep and mostly recovers. Throughout the series, he manages to recover his memories through interactions with the net and its society + Get ability program. Once he meets megaman and his operator Lan, forte essentially goes through cycles of defeat, bug/info absorption. While his hatred for humans and net-society is at an all time high, he still acknowledges megaman.exe's power to be on par with his own and a bond of rivalry is born
And thus they are understand that they are equally. Bass.Exe will saved Rockaman in the end, submitting his power.when he will understand his power he will merges with him and their rivalry comes to the end
This is a Movie? What is it called and do anyone here know what the series before or after this is called cuz I’ve played the battle network games but never knew there was an anime to it tho 🥲😭 I wish I’ve seen it and knew all about it before while it still aired on TV cause right now I dunno if it’s even still watchable anymore or any other MegaMan that had a Series too 🥲
gms bi Quite positive that he can. I mean, if you have energy manipulation, obviously you'd be capable of focusing and defocusing on which point or towards where your energy is spent. Large blasts have better accuracy, while concentrated blasts tend to do more.. ''Damage''.
Because Forte is basically killing him to absorb his ultimate program. Thing is, because of the understanding they had reached...the goal of gaining power to destroy Nebula Grey, that caused a soul fusion to occur instead. That and it seems Forte couldn't control the power of the ultimate program.
@Supermegaman737 good theory but bass has to use tht on his own. unfortunately it aint a passive ability but who knows, maybe when he charged him he used it. or he could of just as well used all the dark power bass gave him which is why he turned gray (which i personally think is white)
Um E.T. Was not meant to be a kids movie nor was it classified as one. Same with Goonies. I mean there rated PG. plus it's not legal to make films with such profanity for kids...
in the game BN5 you can get that kind of cross as a skin for mega with both colors for version and each with a special power or something think of fit as a kamen rider
Arthur Siqueira Dornelles To clarify, he has his own motives for what he does. As I stated before, consider it a rivalry; Forte (Bass, in all other regions) was created to be equal to Rockman by Dr. Albert W. Wily, possibly due to some form of bitterness and jealousy towards Dr. Thomas Light. This timeline/universe is different than the Battle Network timeline/universe, but the concept and lore do explain some bits and pieces. The personalities of Bass(Forte) and Bass.EXE (Forte.EXE) are very similar, if not dead on. Surprisingly, I pulled that out of my hat without looking it up on the interwebs! I feel somewhat proud of myself... somewhat.
im maybe a bit late but... I think its because Forte and Rockman are kind of Even. they faces eachother many times but Nobody ever actually won the fight. Now he finaly deleted rockman. which means he is the strongest of all.
