My favourite theme in the series. It just has that swan song feel to it. Like this is going to be one of the last classic Mega Man games, and the music needed to evoke all that nostalgia that the entire series brings to each and every player. A really soothing and thought provoking piece of music.
That's... very much what I thought myself, just a few days ago. It truly does have a "this is it" feel to it, like they knew they were capping it off with this game. I happened to enjoy it quite a bit, and it was the GBA version.
I wonder if the developers knew at the time that this would be the last Megaman game made, and by extent the last time the world would ever see Megaman.
@@0utrunner237 and do you know the truth is I honestly think this was the high point of Mega Man, and I’m sad this style will probably never come back… it had a lot of potential.
@@0utrunner237 I imagine they did, with all those hidden CDs unlocking bios for pretty much every classic character, from NES Robot Masters to even the Game Boy guys & Wily Wars bosses, IIRC. The whole game is one last group "huzzah!" x)
s07195 The first Mega Man game you played? Mega Man 1 must have been really easy for you then since this game is the hardest in the Classic series bar none.
i love this song so much. its got kind of a duality to it in a way. with one section being lower pitched (associated with bass in my mind) and the other bits being higher (associated with mega man in my mind). the lower and higher bits complement each other so welllll. in that way. its kind of perfect. i love this song coposition i love it so much
You're probably not the only one. But this isn't anywhere close to 8-bit. Personally I prefer the GBA soundtrack to the SNES one. It has a more appropriate tone in my opinion.
TheEcoolarg nope I love this version. and no it's not cuz I grew up with it. its cuz it has that melody that the snes lacks in comparison and somthing like that is what i look for in all music. props to this song👌
it's unbelievable how the human being can go beyond what he already can, this song brings me a lot of good memories of when I played the Megaman X series, I will never get sick of listening to this song in loop. The first sentence that this song brings me is: *I'm more than a robot*
How ironic, a game with the name bass in it has a somewhat lacking bass. The SFC version had a better bass, while this has a better melody. Fair is fair.
@JinTekyta The main reason the GBA soundtrack sounds like that is most likely because the GBA version is on the same platform as the Mega Man Battle Network games, which use most of the same instruments as the GBA verson of MM&B (or at least ones that sound similar), not that that's a bad thing mind you, since I LOVE the Battle Network games...
Hi! so idk it's probably a huge waste of time but i wanted to share a lil story in regards of this track and game as in general so, i was looking for museum stage ost now because it's my favorite track in a game ad it really gets me back to time when i've played it; i did looked up gba cold man stage's theme for the same reason and it was good! this time wasn't that successful - all the versions on youtube sounded wrong for some reason. the thing is, back then i played the game on VBA emulator and probably did sort of freaked around some options without really checking anything, so i ended up playing the game with 44KHz sound (which isn't how it sounded originally? idk). my point is - this theme sounds so much more clearer in 44Khz resolution, and now i'm being more nostalgic to that than the original, which is, like, very strange kind of experience, but it probably must be very common - basically, people being nostalgic in different ways for the same thing, in this example for one game experience. funny, huh? i'll probably end up uploading 44k version ot this ost at some point btw, as far as there is no 44k version anywhere
I was just watching a Megaman and Bass longplay video once. This was one of the first songs that I heard in that video. Just an absolute banger, especially the bit from 1:11-1:51.
I actually like this one more than the SNES one, it sounds a bit more emotional and somber, especially at 0:31, much more appropriate given the area of the game.
Bryan Torres no, la mayoría de temas los siento mucho mejor en GBA, el OST de SNES no es de despreciar, pero algunas canciones en SNES suenan horribles a comparación de las de GBA
Sadly my ears are still bleeding because it's the GBA's shitty sound quality, but this track does actually have a good deal more character compared to the SFC. Damn shame, really.
it sound slike they just compressed the original into a lower quality and then thought certain instruments sounded better than the original (clearly they were wrong)
