Very informative video! I always wondered why the devil bosses were labelled as devils despite not looking the part. Great work on solving that mystery!
The Devil Boss in X5 is interesting since Sigma hinted that Willy helped build his new body and was the master mind behind the game. The Devil boss could be a another hint that he was involved somehow.

Rockman is literally a series about these "Rocks" or "Gems" as they are called in Megaman, the "Devil" moniker probably comes from being a single rock/gem based being instead of something more complicated... So Devil as in low leveled... Twords the end of the timeline the Devil eyes are everywhere as a symbol for Reaver bots which help construct and maintain everything from the functions of the Carbon's body's to the very ground and buildings they live in... Wily also contributed his evil energy inspired Roboinza... The Maverick Virus and Omega (The intended Zero personally) as things that effect rocks/gems like parasites without needing one to power itself... (Just to grow and spread through) After the events of the Zero/ZX games rocks/gems effectively produce a worldwide living consciousness which became the foundation for Carbon's and even a documented traceable path to an afterlife in the event of the loss of ones own body... So basically the entire planet is one giant living rock/gem at the end... If there ever was a FINAL final boss for the entire series I would think it would be a Devil... Devil Moon perhaps? 😅
That's fascinating to hear. I would say the classic games could end by having Ra moon revived or something, ra moon looks like a devil but he is not, but he is capable of ending life, so it could work.
@@Crobert24 Actually Ra is the exact opposite of a Devil, Moon as in overhead or "God" in terms of rocks... Light moreso then Wily is responsible for unintentionally recreating Ra's kind of technology... Think Transformers with "Rocks" being "Energon" Which is exactly why after finding Ra Moon Wily pretend to be reformed so he could better understand Lights work... Willy is a brilliant roboticist but he's a truly insanely gifted programmer... Fair more than Light ever could have been... That said a Devil "Apart" Moon "God" would be the natural conclusion to the series... Also a moon isn't the light itself but rather what changes it's direction through reflection... And hey... Sigma already has a corpse in one timeline on the Moon... 🌚🌝 Edit: Um... If it's not clear, what I'm saying is that I completely agree with you about Ra Moon, Ra basically exists throughout the series in various shapes and forms through the Wily Virus... So Ra Moon is basically the Unicron of the Rockman series... Think of Sigma like the Magatron or better yet Zelda's Gannondorf... Gannondorf isn't Demise (in fact his Malice is all that's actually left of him) but in some ways he's actually worse taking what was already there and adding his own spin on it... I always liked to consider "alpha" , the final boss of MegaMan battle network 3 to technically be considered a devil boss because of his appearance, form and how tou have to attack his body multiple times before getting to his core to damage him just like the green devil
According to Dreamware Megaman Comics, There's The Steel Devil, which is suggested that is much larger than Gamma from Megaman 3. I can imagine that Capcom dares to create a Devil one hundred thousand times larger than Steel Devil and one hundred million times harder than Shadow Devil from Megaman X5. It would be required both The maximum charge of both the Mega Buster and the gained weapons, the assistance of other characters and very much, but very much, BUT VERY MUCH patience to beat it down.... LITERALLY 😰
Notice too in the actual Mega Man 3 nes game the Yellow Devil doesn't have the red "jewel" in him. But the art for him does. Then in the wily wars mega man 3 version of him they added it back? And that sega saturn japan only lightgun like Mega Man game *SPOILERS* Wily isn't the final boss but the Yellow Devil IS. And a few robot masters actually cuss in it. XD
