@@bethanydavis9023 I preferred chili when I was younger, but the US style and toon in its totality has grown on me both for the different flavor and the totality that is the toon.
Funny thing is just like Genesis said before me, the cartoon was originally supposed to look just like this but the American audiences thought that mega man looked too young so they Ended up making the design that you see in the cartoon now
Yew Bowman What you don’t get that the final version is also Japanese animated by Ashi Productions and the show still has an anime feel especially in the intro
@@amf2k2xf There's a number of episodes that are very, VERY well animated. Despite the hokey nature of the show in general it's not this smelly irredeemable turd that people think it is
THIS IS what they say Ruby-Spears, one of the producers of the show, redesigned the characters from the Mega Man video games to varying degrees. The show had a budget of 300,000 dollars per episode."Appearance in Japan", the first episode of Mega Man: Upon a Star, was made as test footage and intended to be a special episode of the series, as it had the same animation and used the same voice actors as the cartoon in production. However, it was a big budget, and so the animation style had to change. The new art style was based on redesigns of the characters Keiji Inafune had done in his spare time. "Appearance in Japan" still aired on TV in 1994, as an after school special on various TV stations and in Japan on TV Tokyo. If the series' art style hadn't changed, it would've aired alongside two similarly cancelled shows: an English dub of Magic Knight Rayearth starring Venus Terzo as Luce, and an American adaptation of Sailor Moon utilizing live-action and animation with Adrienne Barbeau as Queen Beryl and Queen Serenity.
This is actually quite fitting! The song goes along well with this footage! Also, I bet Elec Man must be pretty vengeful towards Gemini Man for knocking him back. The look on his face was like "Just you wait, Gemini Man! I'll get you for that!" Though, it looks like Pharaoh Man is about to give him a taste of his own medicine.
Never noticed but the area shown in the aerial shot when Ice Man's falling to Earth... looks incredibly similar to the town shown at the end of Mega Man 2.
I think you mean "Normalized" Chibi would be like Megaman Powdered up. But thank you so much for sharing this! Glad to see people are giving it attention and are seeing the memes😊👌
This artstyle was originally going to be the show's artstyle but from what |I recall, the demographic didn't really appeal to it. While I'm not sure if that was the case, this cartoon was actually successful and popular but toy production got it canned.
The only thing that I can think of would be that even if we did get an accurate looking Ruby-Spears Mega Man, wouldn't the voices and writing still be the same as the finished product? The art style we got just seems to suit it better.
unfortunitely that's why the canned this version-producers thought this version looked too cute and kiddie/babyish quality -so they wanted to make it more aim-able/marketable to bigger kids/preteens/teens-etc...
En realidad ambas animaciones son buenas, solo que este estilo en sí presentaba una enorme desventaja a la hora de la venta de juguetes tanto por su diseño como por su probabilidad de venta de estos.
Why doesn't Doctor Wily simply send ALL of his robot masters at Mega Man at once? Even Mega Man couldn't take them all on at the same time by himself after all....
Actually a better idea - kill Dr. Light. That way, his rival is no more, Rock is unable to receive upgrades (and he'd be a mess from what happened), and the Lightbots would be left nearly defenceless, without the unconditional love and support that Dr. Light gives them. IDK why Wily hasn't actually thought of that before-
Late to this video but I'm honestly just unexplainably entertained by the fact most of Dr. Light's expressions are either >:( or >:0 he's just angry gkvjvjvcjcjcjjcjf-
this its sad, everything that looks so accurate to how megaman should be gets cancelled i mean archie comic megaman were really nice and boom they get cancelled and when somehow says they will "return" i was really happy but then i read "but with megaman fully charge" i guess something "official" that looks remotely a megaman gets a nono while something ugly as fully charge get yes yes. sigh... i still have hope of some fan that can continue megaman comics in the same style archie comics....
