same except I was 15 and bought it from the PlayStation store just to play zero and not giving a shit about the story this is before I love the x series more then any other mega man gamed
i didnt understand anything but when zero (my favorite character if you cant tell from my name) got infected with sigma virus and i had to kill him with X. I FUCKING CRIED
Zero I mean like in between in summer of 2014 or 15 I wanted to play as zero then I search megamam x and actually pick the 5th (BC i thought in the 4th in can't play as him) so I bought it and don't know what's the story is and the plot I only care about playing as zero and thought alia was a guy for a few moments.. that was before I got into the x franchise and look into the lore.. and that game is mega man x8 (seriously in love the Japanese's intro music)
And the funny part is that they only used the main menu theme to do it, it fits more for the intro than the japanese song they put in the other version.
In case anyone was wondering the songs sampled to make this masterpiece: Mega Man X: Variable X (Very Start 0:00) Mega Man X: Title Theme (Guitar Riff 0:18) Mega Man 3: Weapon Get (Starts at 0:17 continues throughout)
@@Uranium-jj7le The guitar riff that begins at 0:18 just that with a rearranged melody. I was sceptical about it too and went back to X intro and yes the riff and rythm pattern is the same haha
It's 2020. Listening to this intro brings tears to my eyes. I remember watching my brother playing this over his shoulder, encouraging him to beat all the bosses. This year, in february, he's getting married and im just sitting here crying remembering how beautiful and pure our childhood was.
Hmm..it’s good to know that u n this game have lots of memories together do cherish them they are a part of your life just glad to hear he didn’t pass away I was hoping it wasn’t something like that but good for u n your bro the feelings are mutual on my end
@@Prince9146 I don’t see myself getting married but I guess u never know what the future holds if possible I rather be single if I can n still do the things I love
X's Memories: X1 X vs Sigma X2 X vs X Hunters X3 X vs Vile X4 X vs Double Zero's Memories: X1 Zero vs Vile X2 Zero vs Black Zero & Sigma X3 Zero vs Bit (Which actually never happens) X4 Zero vs Colonel
MorenoReno my point is that they shoulda waited for a bigger handheld that could run it (3DS or hey maybe they could’ve gotten it to work on DS) or released it on consoles
X5 was made to finish off the X series and open room for Megaman Zero. Keiji Inafune didn't expect an X6, so that's why X6's history is crappy. It continues on an end that wasn't made for a sequel.
X: Hey I will do lots of Karate moves and show all my armors so the fans think I'm cool YEAH!!! Zero: I just have to blink a couple of times and I'm 10 times cooler than you...
+MrFantocan Karate moves? All X does is pose for the camera while Zero wakes up from his sleep. Ps I think X is cooler than Zero because X doesn't try to be MLG hardcore and edgy like Zero, but hey that's just my opinon.
Supercalifragilistic expialidocious ... DO you know the story of how Rockman X was created!? The maker said "Well Rockman is pretty fun but is running out of his time, I will make it better in a future time, but I will base the hero on Protoman not Megaman" but an ashole business CEO said "No Megaman is popular changing the star would be bad", then the maker had no choice as the CEO had all the rights and money, but then he made Zero way cooler just to stick up the CEO, that is why since Rockman X Zero has a way bigger fanbase, even only showing up 2 times, thats also why Megaman Zero was made. So keep your opinion, Zero was born to be awesome!
MrFantocan Um no Keiji Inafune wanted to make a new Megaman game and wanted to surprise people by having Zero be the main character but the higher ups feared that it departed way too far from the original Megaman so Inafune had one of his staff members design X. It's funny how the Zero series get overshadowed by the X series. Zero might've been born awesome but can never live up to X's legacy.
Zero's words echoed... "Remember, you haven't reached full power yet. If you use all the abilities you were designed with, you should become stronger. You may even become as powerful as I am." X knew he was headed for his final battle.
X's And Zero's Memories: X vs Sigma(MMX1) X vs X-Hunters(MMX2) X vs Vile MK-2(MMX3) X vs Double(MMX4) Zero attacks Vile(MMX1) Zero destroys Fake Black Zero(MMX2) Zero vs Bit and Byte (MMX3) Zero fights Colonel(MMX4)
Male Trainer and Female Trainer Memories Red vs Blue (Gen 1) Ethan vs Lance (Gen 2) Brendan vs Steven (Gen 3) Lucas vs Cynthia (Gen 4) Leaf vs Brock (Gen 1) Kris vs Lance (Gen 2) May vs Archie (Gen 3) Dawn vs Barry (Gen 4)
He wasn't. His only work in any Megaman franchise was creating Zero and some art direction. I realice this was commented prior to No.9 releasing though.
No, dark. The Zero series was meant to be the next saga after the X series. Or that should be, if Capcom didn't mess with Megaman X6. That made him change the Zero saga's story.
I played a lot of games in my youth (Final Fantasy, Zelda, Sonic, etc) But I have never seen an intro that gets you this pumped for the game, ever. Keiji really went all out on this one.
+Fluffy ふるるふぃ in my opinion the japanaese opening sucks, this song at least plays a homage to the megaman saga, and it really goes awesome with this game, the japanese song it's just that, a japanese song, nothing more
+Daniel96Z How does this song play a homage again? And if you can't understand Japanese, then I'm willing to bet it's because you can't understand the song or it's relevance to the series.
Infinite Zero Listen I don't need to understand japanese to hear the rythm in the song, the song doesn't match the tone of the series, is for weabos only. And how does this song play a homage to the series? The american opening is a remix from the Get Weapon theme from Megaman 3, and since this game was full of homages for the series and references and what not, this one has a more deeper meaning, I don't care the japanese song was sung by X's VA, doesn't change the fact the tone doesn't match with the series
i also love how this game was a Guns N Roses tribute, like Axl Rose (Axle the Red), Saul Hudson aka Slash (Grizzly Slash), Izzy Stradlin (Izzy Glow), Matt Sorum (Mattrex), Steven Adler (Squid Adler), and Duff Mckagan (Duff McWhalen
Me as a little kid playing this in the PS1 and getting very excited with the song. I later found out that this game was too difficult for me, so never finished, but I did went back and constantly listened to the opening on repeat, lol.

@@yousefsaber1 it was just some cutscenes for a game without battles in them. Fans want an completed anime series that have all of these and epic battle cutscenes.
Mega Man X5...beautiful... The possible end of X's era and the start of Zero's. Or it could lead to the second death of Zero and X keeps on fighting. We may never know what the true ending is... I personally believe X5 splits into two timelines, one where the Maverick Wars end, and the Elf Wars begin, or where X battles the Nightmare Virus, finds Zero once again, and they both meet Axl shortly after. The fact that Axl and several forms of Sigma weren't in the X series means that Axl was never created and neither were the other shapeshifting reploids. Thus the reason behind why Axl isn't in the Zero timeline, nor the ZX timeline, and the reason why Zero isn't fighting eight different Sigma clones. But whether you end up experiencing the best of either the end of the X timeline or the Zero timeline; it's up to how you do in Mega Man X5. Good luck!
@@heracrossz7701 I know that I'm just saying that it was inspired by Axl, I already knew that from playing ZXA the first time and a lot you guys really have to sound smart
While I think that the arguments are rather stupid and could just be avoided, it is surprising to see that they're about a game that isn't even X5 lmfao
The Golden Hawaiian Swordsman Dragon HIGHLY remembers watching his cousin and older brother play this along with SoulBlade, SoulCalibur along with Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 on the PlayStation! The Golden Hawaiian Swordsman Dragon HIGHLY misses the 90's and early 2,000's!
+Isaiah Rivers "Megaman X5. The game that was suppose to be the final of the X series but couldn't be because of the greedyness of Capcom." Though if we're going on the quality of the games themselves, X4 should definitely have been the last.
@@vikingfortiesfaeroes Man this is wrong why end up the best Megaman series X is the best series so far and they should continuously improve it and evolve it with time X4 had a lot of room for improvements Zero wasn't designed very well his black armor was very useless Now look at ZERO in X8 he has a lot of closed ranged weapons his black armor is no longer just for show a huge step forward Look at X in X4 only one armor and not so much Look at him in X8 you can mix his parts from different Armors In X4 you had to choose one character for the entire gameplay but now in X8 you can play with X and Zero at the same time in any stage Yeah X8 has its flaws that's why Capcom should have released X9 and to improve upon X8 and pick up where it left off But compared to the previous games X8 is so advanced over its predecessors Capcom should've continued its evolution and improvements for the X series not stopping it And like Lumine said in X8 the world is changing there for it's only natural that evolution takes its course The series that should be stopped is classic Megaman and any other title than X series because X series is the best one so why bother with other titles I think that Capcom should end the classic series shifting it's focus to X series and closing the gap bet two series introducing Zero's origins in a good way because X5 messed up very horribly with his origins story
@Joseph Saber Yes, but the evolution stopped with X4. You can tell Inafune had nothing to do with the development of X5, because the intelligent level design was suddenly gone, replaced with cheap instant-kill traps all over the place that you can only avoid through several playthroughs/memorisation. This is bad game design.
Oh my god, I remember someone deadass just handing me a PSP on my city's bus. Lucky for me, one of the games the guy had saved on it was X5, a damn good game imo.
and this game had the sigma virus and if you touch it enough times with zero it boosts his power because the sigma virus has elements of the zero virus when wily created zero.
I remember when i was 6 or 7 years old. I discovered megaman with this game in my ps1, then I played all the series. Now Im 22, but this intro, mostly it first 13 seconds, take me back to those years. I dream with a remaster for ps4
Because he WAS supposed to be the main protagonist of the X series. Inafune wanted a dash-slash melee combat character for Megaman's spiritual successor series but Capcom intervened saying his gameplay would be too far off from the classic series thus X was created and Zero became a side character (eventually becoming a deuteragonist over time). Inafune eventually got his wish when the Zero series started, though.
I start to get the feeling, that almost, if not half of my beloved childhood music came from MegaMan X5 or so, even tho I haven't played any of the official MegaMan games at all... I do feel like missing something huge and mentally tearing up at the same time
