@@SpandoSpando perhaps, but it didn’t work out for kenafune..... I’m guessing capcom has the rights to all things mega man. So it would be nice if the system was as such they could pay him salary and royalties.
@@inactivehorse9753 never trust a company that doesn't give a crap about you. Hell, don't trust a company willing to throw its fandom under the bus. Remember what happened to MML3?
Hey man. Before I watch this video, I just wanted to say thanks for the work you've put into this passion project. regardless of the outcome, I'm glad to be one of many fans of this fangame. Hope for the best. Keep it up man.
+Infamous MAD Yeah, me too. Probably because I didn't pay money for this only to be repeatedly told that it's finished but I can't have it yet because of some tacked on multiplayer mode nobody fucking asked for and nobody fucking cares about.
+mjc0961 YES! Thank you! I mean it's a platformer for fuck's sake. It's not SSB or Metal Slug or Kirby & the Amazing Mirror. Now because of Inafune's uncontrollable OCD bullshit, we won't be seeing MN9 until the end of May, and I preordered it on Steam already, so if I don't see it then either, then I want my fucking money back >:(
+Volt Star "OBJECTION!" Not to object rudely though, but both are great. To agree more though to your side, JKB & company here are showing ACTIVE development on the fly and in my personal opinion I would get this first if I could (though of course getting BOTH, lol) and even if not, I'd be spending more time on this than M#9. I can tell easily lol XD
+mcgrawm2 In an open world environment, not all stages can be made to start right to left. But don't worry, I set the tone right from the intro where you start from right to left. xD
I will love to play this one , for me a good and difficult mega man X game with lots of power ups and large levels its just perfect! Just love it , best of luck for you from Brasil , me and alot of friends here wish you big success in your really well done fan game
Today's the first day I've heard about this, and I'm getting WAY hype from what I'm seeing already! Going to follow and rep the heck out of this project. Keep up the solid work because you are doing some seriously rad work with this!
This stage looks awesome. I really like all the little details esp. how you can see things going on in the background and how the guy chuckles when he shoots you. This type of stuff really adds to the game great work dude
i never played megaman x before so when my friend linked me to your video i just thought this was a let's play. needless to say it's pretty impressive that i couldn't tell the difference between the game you're making and a real official mega man x game! keep up the fantastic work!
+Wrought Bedpan this "x corrupted" game to the original megaman x game is like adding brutal doom to original doom. because machines today are more powerful you can do what the SNES could not
I just did this for fun while watching this awesome footage, but do let me know if I shouldn't do it. I translated the conversation between X and Milodon (and Raflier) into Japanese.
Nicely done. My Japanese isn't too strong, but I figure that might just be what we could use in the final product. I wonder if JKB Games will allow for multi-language support when this game is ready?
Mano, seu trampo é incrível! Conseguiu capturar tudo de bom que tem nos megaman X clássicos e aprimorou ainda mais. Sucesso e lanse a braba logo que tô na fila pra comprar. Abração
Please man, make this project happen. I can't explain the way I feel when I look at this, it just has that essence that only X games have. Keep up the great work!
There isn't a single thing I'd change. Love the flow, love the weapon cooldown. love the weapons. You're the man and every extra second you put into this masterpiece seems to be worth the while. keep it up man.
This looks BEYOND amazing, but I have one slight qualm. X's dialogue seems a little too, I don't know, unlike him? Either way, this game is probably going to just continue to blow my mind.
this is amazing! btw i love that you didnt run through this level like you've played it a million times and could do it blindfolded. it really feels like a new game that could have continued the series in an awesome way. please keep going!
I really enjoy X's dialogue against Milodon. I think X has realized that there's no point in trying to stop mavericks, so he's always ready to tear them apart. He doesn't want to, but he knows it's what has to be done.
This really is nothing short of fantastic. From the aesthetics to the level design. I wonder how the whole game plays as it is now, are there like chunks of levels missing inbetween the completed ones?
Some stage's elements remind me of Grenade Man's: ammunition factory theme with a blocky structure and tied with thin industrial platforms, obscured by "X" marked steel boxes, ballistic cannons, flying spawn, hanging pressure timer mines and a large pit that requires to jump on them in order to cross, enviroment hazards, mid-boss, and two-parter boss fight.
Amazing work, JKB. You and your team pay so much attention to the little details to make sure it builds upon the playing experience, and it really shows. The quality of this is top notch. The animated backgrounds, the sparks from weapons hitting the walls, the little cocky/evil smirks the enemies give, the dynamics of the level design - absolutely amazing! Keep up the awesome work! Can't wait to see what your next update has in store. 'Til then, cheers to you and your team!
Okay this line : "Come quietly, or i will be forced to haul you back as scrap. " This is something X would never EVER say. If anything, X is like Mega Man, where he doesn't want to fight and want peace, but he fight's to protect this peace. He doesn't have a murderous side where it is fun to destroy robots. So, this makes X very out of character.
+Kirby Pink I think i saw in the official page that X and Zero change dialogues according to your decisions in the game, like who do you kill first and such, i think it was that but i may be wrong.
Dhenox312 At the start of the conversations X seems pretty chill, but when he says that even the portrait changes, so maybe he is angry at Milodon for something envolving the FF.
Well I wanted to insert my personal comment here, was I was a child Megaman X was the best action-adventure game ever, I remember myself and my pain when I tried to kill every Maverick just using my X buster. Well, the time continues, and Megaman changed... A LOT, and yeah we got new mechanics, better graphics and all that kind of stuff, but you my friend, you took back that old school and honestly when I look at this, I feel like a child again. As an engineer these days, I know how hard could be take something and make it another thing completely diferent, so take as much time as you need... As much years if you need too, but please, really please, finish it and you'll have a lot of old gamers thankful, but with that you'll have a lot of children too happy. All our children inside us are waiting, and believe me, when you release a final version, all of them will have a new christmas, birthday or any other incredible day again once more.
I know i left a comment already but i just noticed the little particle after effects when you fire a charge shot. Bruv, it's these little details! Another example, he machines being built in the back ground, the missles rotating, i could go on about this stages back ground. I l honestly and genuinely appreciate that. It really makes the game come to life a bit more. Having the floor break and the slow motion of you trying to render that feeling of classic SNES. This is awesome. I'm already getting nostalgic rushes of how i would imagine the fight taking place.
The whole video was amazing, from the machines dropping lava to the mini-boss race/chase to the smart snipers. Even the animation for the machines being built in the background (including the one that comes out to fight) was amazing, wish Capcom thought of that for the intro stage to X2, would've made it that much more epic! Keep up the good work! I hope to be able to play this in the near future.
Man, its so surreal still seeing this project worked on 8 years after you started it. Major props for keeping this going for so long dude and i'm still looking forward to the finished product with how much times been put in.
I love the attention to detail here, like how those gunner enemies chuckle if you take a hit from them or how you can see a mechaniloid being built in the background as you go through the stage and near the end you actually fight that mechaniloid. Very good stuff
Oh... my... god. I couldn't help looking at the backgrounds. The stage itself looks very challenging, I like that. The final boss... just perfect!. Keep up the good work man!
Awesome boss fight, I especially loved the little touch with the slowdown when the floor gave way. It gives you a chance to react while simulating the frame drops that would happen when something big like that would happen in the original SNES games.
Loving the sense of progression through the level. It concept of following the whole production line and eventually fighting the finished products works so well.
Wow! What a cool stage. It also stays true to the MMX style but has so much more going on! Theres a feeling of interaction with the environment that seems to just "pop" out at you as you play. Loving this.
Fantastic Level Design! I also love the XBuster refill bar. Its good to know that we are going to be playing a new Mega Man X game soon:) Keep up the awesome work!!
this megaman game will never get released because is the perfect megaman X game, much better than whatever capcom can do, SO i will enjoy all the videos released is a magical MM game!
thank you for the hard work and years of time you have put into this game for fans of MMX. I've been watching your work since almost day 1 (was watchinh before you changed zero to how he his now) I can't wait for this game.
Man this game looks so good it hurts to watch. This is so amazingly well crafted! The stage, the enemies, the music everything purely captures everything that the MMX series is all about. The final results of this project will certainly be a MMX fans dream come true.
Of all the new games that have been released this is the one that gets me really REALLY hyped i love this game already and thank you and everyone one the team for such a beautiful THANKS
Oh my god. This is everything I have ever wanted in a Megaman X game. You are pretty much making my dreams come true. Don't you dare give up on this masterpiece!
This game is looking sooo well built..I can sense the amount of work it took, but can't grasp it haha fully..Well done with this dude! Godspeed on finishing it!
when i saw the slow down, X2 started replaying itself in my head. oh nostalgia. And I think its pretty smart you put it thier to assist the player. Good job JKB looking forward to playing this amazing game
This boss is pretty cool, amazing job, the first phase reminds me a lot Blizzard Buffalo, my first boss ever fought in the series. Keep it up man, been following your work YEARS.
I can't even begin to comprehend how much efforts and time being put to make this fan game! Capcom should be ashamed by themselved watching this! Can't wait to play it when it comes out :)
This music is absolutely perfect, man. The classic SNES MMX games had a very distinguishable 80s rock vibe, and you've captured that perfectly in MIDI form. A+. Oh, the game looks amazing too... :P
this is fucking incredible. Thank you for all the hard work youre putting into this game. As a mega man fan since childhood I cannot wait to play this.
I am really liking the level design in this one. It's really true to a traditional MMX game with the extra touch of originality you've added. It also doesn't feel as claustrophobic as some previous levels you've shown off. Good job!
I see why you perfected Blizzard Buffalo first. & yes I see some Flame Mammoth here too as the comments suggest and Launch Octopus. Very cool. Amazing work!
