We lived in Qatar for 3 years- husband is in oil. They are Muslims. They are allowed 4 wives. Most wealthy men have 4 wives, and their compounds consist of a main house and 4 identical houses for each of their wives and children. The woman are required to cover up, head to toe, in the black robe, with their face and hair covered. Can’t see MeAgain covering up and dressing modestly or converting to Islam. As an ex-pat, we weren’t required to wear the robe, but we had to wear skirts/dresses below the knee, and short sleeved shirts. No pants, sleeveless tops, short skirts or shorts.
