as a canadian, a lot of people always ask me why i cheer for the uswnt and this is it. youll never catch me cheering for the states in any other sport but the impact that the uswnt has had on the game, and the work that they have done off the field in their activism and fight, that is exactly why i will always cheer for them. pinoe, im gonna miss you man
Thank you for opening my eyes (very late) to the beauty of women’s football in 2019. I first saw you being a badass off the field in an interview and was intrigued so I decided to watch the World Cup. Watching you and the rest of the team be equally badass all tournament? I was sold. You don’t just advocate for what’s right, you marry it with actions. I will miss watching your goals, pinpoint crosses and post match interviews because you’ve been such a joy to watch. All the best for post retirement life I’m sure you’ll be grand, legend❤❤

She and Abby were my first heroes outside of my family. They started me playing the game that I love for 10 years. Pinoe is a phenomenal advocate for LGBTQ+ rights as the first out player on the team, as well as equal pay and racial justice. As a disabled, bisexual woman and a lover of the beautiful game, you will always be one of one. Thank you for everything.
Certain people are extremely unlikable. She's one of them. Doesn't matter how much good she does, even if she found a cure for cancer she'd...nah I'm kidding she's WAY too entitled.
She spent several years lying about the financial situation of the USWNT to get what she wanted. She’s also recently advocated for males to be able to play for the women’s team, which is an extremely unpopular opinion basically everywhere.
Very sad that she wasted her talent with her own narcissism. When she missed that penalty kick, the immediate chuckle on her face told it all: her playing was all about her and herself and not for her teammates and country that she just let down by that abject failed-kick. Recall the video of her after winning: "I deserve this!", instead of what it should have been as a team: "We deserve this". A disgusting athlete.

@rusty8685 2019 FIFA, 100% if she wasn't there, we wouldn't have won. We won games because of her free kicks and PKs. She had the most goals in throughout the tournament (yes Morgan tied her in goals but she had half her goals from the first game).
