Steven Moffat set out at the beginning of the series to make it more "fairy tale" and less "sci-fi" - and he kept that theme through the series, culminating with the happy ending. Quite a few other reactors mentionted the same thing at the end of the series - they were waiting for the inevitable tragedy at the end of the series, and instead, off they go on an adventure!

@@aaaa-eb6pi Maybe. But that's the Doctor stretching the truth, rather than Steven Moffat stretching the allusion. The Doctor has often talked about "borrowing" the TARDIS. In "Logopolis" he says he borrowed it when it was in for repairs. The cover blurb to the novelisation of "The War Games" says he "'borrowed' the TARDIS without permission". Terrance Dicks's novelisation of "Genesis of the Daleks" says the Doctor left his own people "in his 'borrowed' TARDIS". The TARDIS Handbook refers to "the Doctor's borrowed TARDIS". In "The Doctor's Wife" the Doctor tells the TARDIS-in-the-form-of-Idris "I borrowed you."

I think she's good! mainly because she's teh first doctor I've ever had experience with in live telly if that makes sense! like she's the first doctor I experienced first hand, not on a reaction, just me watching it cuz I like the show! idk if that makes sense haha

Basically bootstrap paradoxes keep the timeline stable, and contradiction paradoxes destabilize it. That's how I see it, even if it's never expressly explained in the show.

Holding baby Rose would have not had the effect it had if she hadn’t already created a paradox by saving her Dad.

I think other countries have different fair-use limits. I know of people in Canada that also use greater than 10 minutes. So I'm guessing the UK has similar rules.

@@hichaelmartline The UK law is described in the Patent Office's Guidance For Creators: "Is the amount of the work taken reasonable and appropriate? Was it necessary to use the amount that was taken?" It would be difficult to claim that this video necessitated showing 18 minutes of a 55-minute episode when other reactors have already demonstrated that it can be effective using half that.

But it's not actually 18 minutes of pure video footage. Often they will use the audio only at times. If YT had a problem with their use of fair-use, it would be pulled.
