It took me 3 weeks to get to this because even now it’s hard for me to watch. Megan, I was crying with you. I don’t know how far ahead you are, but Capaldi also became very dear to me. I didn’t even know you hadn’t react to Cold War and Crimson horror because those are two I don’t really like, lol. Anyway, looking forward to more reactions. Elliott, you finally made it! Enjoy!

But huge HUGE congratulations on two years in your relationship, mega mega dears Elliot and Meg, I'm telling ya, you two must be, and actually are in my eyes, now officially RU-vid's top reactor couple, seriously, every time you update your videos always ALWAYS make our days. And, aaaaaaaawwwwww, our hearts go out to Megan once again with Matt Smith's last ever adventure as the Doctor before Mr Capaldi takes his place, we're the same as you, sweetheart, David Tennant will always be the best Doctor of this modern era, cos his days together with those of Chris E were the golden days really, but Matt was a good Doctor as well, and Jenna Coleman was absolutely perfect and beautiful as Clara. Now I will admit, I may not be around as much for your adventures with Capaldi's Doctor, cos he isn't in my heart as much as the other three before him are, no offense whatsoever intended, but I will certainly not be completely gone away from our favourite couple and will react to certain ones you do. And as some other commenters have said, I would love for you to do the Sarah Jane Adventures and Torchwood in the future as well, cos they are just as loveable and as hugely enjoyable and adventurous as our beloved DW. Once again, "Happy happy happy" two year anniversary, and a BEAUTIFULLY well done sing song of the Eastenders theme there btw

It's time for one last bow, the eleventh hour is over now.. the clock is striking twelves.

The First Doctor was a bratty teenager who liked pretending he was a grown-up. Eleven was ancient and pretended he was young. Now it's midnight. The clock's resetting. We're coming full circle. No more man who runs and forgets, no more man who doesn't believe in second chances, no more hiding from the war. Time to grow up. And also... not.

I still love Capaldi’s entrance. First time viewing you’re in Clara’s shoes. Who is this guy? Why is he acting so weird? Next time around you realize he’s gauging Clara’s reaction to see how he’s changed. Then he notices the new kidneys because those are the first to go with old age. Then he has to remember how to fly the TARDIS because he hasn’t had to for centuries. No wonder he has trouble settling into becoming the Doctor again, wondering whether “The Doctor” is a good man. He’s not always, can’t always be. But in those first moments he’s basically acting Matt Smith wondering what his new face looks like, wondering why his best friend looks at him like that.

“On the fields of Trenzalore, at the fall of the eleventh, when no living creature can speak falsely or fail to answer, a Question will be asked, a question that must never, ever be answered...”

There will be tears. There always are.😭

To clarify, for those not in the know. All Time Lords are from Gallifrey, but not all Gallifreyans are Time Lords. In order to become a Time Lord, you need to go through the academy where, upon completion of whatever training and trials they put them through, they are given a cycle of 12 regenerations. This cap was thought to be genetic, ie all Gallifreyans had the same thing, until it was established in The Five Doctors that extra regenerations could be granted, as it was the reward promised to the Master to help the various Doctors make it through the Death Zone. I also wont deny that, even though i was 41 when I first saw this, I became as giddy as a school boy when I realized they'd given him a whole new cycle, as it would mean the show could continue for another few decades. Also cannot deny being nearly broken by Amy's last words to him.

Welcome to my favorite Doctor! Capaldi was meant to be the Doctor at this exact point in his life. He is amazing.

As well as watching torchwood I just hope for you to watch the Sarah Jane Adventures as it gives some brilliant stories and villains like the trickster

This was one of the first episodes I ever saw because it was randomly on TV and it got close to making me cry but It was also the episode that made me seek out the rest of the show and watch it in order.. so when I watched it again the second time around with context I bawled like a baby

Elliot's face when PC turns up is so sweet. Who knew 6 years ago that when this man showed up he'd win the hearts of so many as the Doctor?

I like these videos and watching her react but man, you gotta stop with the little comments and explaining things just as they’re happening and let her experience it herself

And that is how I wound up a laughing, sobbing, snotty mess on Christmas Day, 2013. *shakes fist* Curse you, Moffat! (Just kidding) Seriously, this episode is an absolute emotional roller coaster and while plot-wise it isn't my favorite, it's still a solid send-off for my favorite Doctor. I knew going in that this was going to be his final episode, and I thought I was prepared for an emotional goodbye, but I was not expecting the gut punch that was Amy's "Raggedy Man, goodnight." Right in the feels. Anyway, on to my second-favorite Doctor of all time! I'm fairly certain Megan will like him (may take a few episodes, we'll see).

Moffat didn't expect Matt to want to leave at this time so Time of the Doctor was a rush job really to tie up all the loose ends. I didn't think so at the time but when I watched it a few weeks back I realised that he did actually manage to cover all the points pretty well. It's still not a favourite but it has improved in my favours.

I'm so evil, as I enjoy watching people get emotional on this eposide, as I always do too.

11 is my doctor, so this episode always breaks me, I can’t watch it without balling like a baby, even before the regeneration starts. As much as l eventually like Capaldi, I stopped watching after this. It took me a while to start watching again and I haven’t been as avid of a fan as I was before this.

My headcanon is simple: there was NEVER a limit for the Doctor, and the Timelords “gave” him new regenerations to hide the lie they had been perpetuating.

I'm done! never fail to make me emotional this episode and with the Day of the Doctor reveal, my theory is the time streams are out of sync so 11 doesn't remember or doesn't know the time lords granted him more lives, obviously the time lords must know about it in some way or form

I'ma simple person. By this point, if I see Meg with the pillow in the thumbnail, I click 'cause I know I won't regret. :D

I fell bad for the tenth Doctor because every other Doctor have their friends by their side when they regenerates but The tenth doctor is just all alone by himself saying goodbye to all of his friends

SERIES 12 SPOILERS . . . . . . My own head canon is similar to yours. The difference is that I think that what happened in The Time of the Doctor wasn't the Doctor being granted a whole new series of regenerations. It was the Time Lords removing the regeneration limit they had imposed on him. If I'm right, then the Doctor has unlimited regenerations going forward.

**looking at the title** Well, here we go :'( Eleven isn't my favourite doctor, but I will admit that I love and enjoy his era, so his regeneration scene still makes me cry a bit. It really doesn't help with other reaction who also crying, just to make it much sadder to me. *Discussion bit about The Timeless Children (SPOILER! To anyone who haven't get there. Just skip this part)* So there're a lot of confusion about Eleven's big regeneration with The Timeless Child explanation. I've seen many theories about how it could happen. My personal theory is that when The Doctor was forced turning to child, they also forcing their biology body to an Gallifreyan/Time Lord body. They probably used a Chamaleon Arch (maybe a prototype/early version before Human Nature/Family of Blood) to them and grant 12 regeneration to First Doctor. Of course, the question is is the current regenation is limited or unlimited? I suppose only time will tell. I'm quite exciting to see Megan's opinion with Twelve. He's my second favourite Doctor after Ten & (suprisingly) Thirteen. Some of his episodes is really, really good so I cannot wait to see the reactios :D

Originally the episode was going to end with 11's regeneration on the church and then the feet walking up the stairs would pan out to Peter Capaldi as the new Doctor. However, it was found that Karen Gillan was in London filming Guardians of the Galaxy, so they asked her if she would like a walk on part during the episode. She said yes and the rest is history! Both Karen an Matt were bald during the filming, Karen for her role as Nebula and Matt for a new play he was rehearsing, so they both wore wigs. The two of them did talk about doing a prank before filming by swapping wigs for the first take but never did so!

Such a great scene. My favorite Doctor. And Murray Gold’s music is amazing.

Matt Smith is #1 for me. Capaldi suffered from a lot of poor episodes that just didn't work. He as The Doctor was great, the show as a whole suffered. But you also have to realize they were following up Matt Smith, The (blank) of the Doctor trilogy, the 50 year anniversary and how big and well done it all was so I don't think anyone can be blamed for being disappointed by the following seasons, the show hit its highest high and then still had to keep going, that's tough to do. The reason I'd say the timeless child stuff doesn't factor into this episode's story is because as far as The Doctor knows, this is how it works. He doesn't know there's more to it. Honestly I'm still unsure of what I think of all the big continuity stuff from season 12, and probably won't know how I feel until I see how it changes things moving forward.

i always wondered, why didnt the Time Lords just weaponise regeneration? Like here we see the Doctor blow up 2 Dalek attack scout ships AND a mother ship. And since Regereration can be unlimited (classic who we are told Rassilon and Omega limit others to 12 regenerations for their own control), just imagine Time Lords and Time Ladies stood regenerating over and over, blasting ships with their endless energy. And as for the whole "when they regenerate, they are unstable." Thats only the Doctor. We've seen the Master regenerate and be perfectly aware of who he is and how to fly a Tardis. We see The General change race AND gender and be fully aware (all be it racist and sexist about how being white and male isnt 'normal and right') So seems to just be a Doctor thing for slap stick humour.

11 was amazing. but 12? oooooooh. he's gonna have a shakey start but Megan will ADORE him.

Capaldi isn't my favorite, but I definitely don't dislike him. Poor Megan, I felt your pain when you realized it was time for the regeneration.

Yeah, that's basically what my HC is for TCC (assuming The Doctor is TCC) TCC had endless, or nearly endless, regens when Tec was experimenting on them. Then when Tec unlocked the Secretes to make The Timelords and locked the Regens to 13 that she also did so with TCC. It's just that, for whatever reason, The Timelords keep on giving TCC/The Doctor more lives. So, if they didn't do what they did...then 11 would have been the last doctor.

I know this is a very unpopular opinion on this channel, but I completely disregard this era. I tried to give Jodie a chance but I just don't like her run. In my eyes, They have completely disrespected what has come before. I'm sorry if that's different than most people's views, but I just don't like their current era.

Favorite little bit of trivia about the scene with Matt and Karen... both were bald at the time. Karen was filming Nebula and Matt was in a film where he was bald also. Both had wigs. :D Just kinda funny.

with timeless children my 2 ideas is like what you think. My other thought is that regeneration is more like a gas can capped off at 12 and the timelords here just increased the cap to 24.
