@@okayselect nope it’s just really really painfully not funny. I get the extreme cringe bombing fake aspect. It’s not hard to understand. It’s just not funny.
I think I'm starting to get what she's doing, now. This is the ironically unfunny, so-bad-it's-funny take, isn't it? This is deliberately calculated, I think.
She is not funny and her " cringe character" isn't funny either. If your going to portray an awkward unfunny character you have to develop that character and introduce that character to the audience, otherwise nobody gets it. Her and her character are horrible...
OOOOOOOK, I'm starting to feel this Megan Stalter is trying to shit me or somehow troll me... it's like watching Man on the moon for the first time again 🤔🤨 am I broken? did she break me?
I love this video with my whole heart, Megan KILLS me. Sad that half the people in this comment section are too dull to even understand this type of humor since it lies outside of the typical "story + punch line = comedy" format. Meg is elite it's y'all who are just dense
Lol, I can get behind people who don’t do “typical story” type standup. A lot of them are great. Like Zach galifianakis, unusual comedy, but hilarious. This girl just pretends to be a conceited 5 year old and it’s not really that funny. But she’s got her 15 mins right now and I can’t hate on that. Hopefully she gets her money while she’s still relevant.
Ok, so I've watched several of her videos and I'm convinced she is adding a laugh track. I'm sure there are a couple genuine laughs from the audience but most of what we are hearing is fake... look at the audience, in the front row you can see the backs of the audience members. Nobody is moving! We hear the laughs but nobody's body or head moves at all... our bodies and our heads always move when we laugh! If you watch her other videos you can see the camera quickly pan the audience from behind. We can't see there faces but we can see there bodies and the back of there heads... the vast majority of the audience isn't moving and they aren't clapping! Even though we hear a lot of clapping, nobody's hands are moving. I can tell when there is a genuine laugh because you can see those couple people moving their heads up and down. There is definitely a laugh track added to supplement the audiences laughter and make it seem like the whole crowd is laughing when they aren't. You'll notice this in all her videos except the HBO special, whoever was in charge of that special didn't add any laugh track...
It took a while for her to find her style but like she’s bombed everything else I’ve seen. I still don’t think it’s funny yet but she’s definitely getting closer.
