I have watched this video many times. 1) 4:00 "Notes reading is not music! Feel it! Don't worry about notes". Such an insight spilled like it is nothing. 2) Megha, the name of the heroine means clouds. So Raja sir is taking us through the clouds with the humming before lyrics about cloud reference comes in the song and the "Mugilo Megamo" line kicks in. That is also the reason, he is asking them to sing with a closed mouth and not an open mouth. He is giving the cloud (Megha), a sensual and mysterious character 3) If you give space between the bars the tension is lost. Raja sir is key in keeping the tension by asking them to sing in one breath. This creates a sensation as if the lovers are "breathless" when they express their emotions towards each other. 4) Raja feels the music and thinks in terms of ideas and not in the terms of notes. That is the reason he asked the guitarist to play one octave higher because he didn't "hear" the music he wrote in terms of just notes. 5) Raja sir works with any musicians anywhere in the world in any setup. He only needs to bring himself and he is the beginning and end of his music. He is beyond boundaries and star singers. Lastly, people think Raja sir doesn't think too much about technology and recording. He is instructing the recordist in this video and asking him to add delay to make that musical phrase pop out. He had done the same thing in Thiruvasagam. Technology and digitalization and trend are different things. Raja sir is a super technologist.
