Now that has changed to someother place known as Mawsynram which now receives the highest rainfall in India and the World. During my visit to Meghalaya laat month I was informed about this by the locals there and then I researched and found it to be right. I really loved Meghalaya it's awesome, even I have made 2 vlogs of my Meghalayan trip.

@@Radhika_Nomllers original name of the town is Sohra( meaning Orange ) called since creation of the town by local people. Cherrapunji was called since British rule because they found it hard to pronounce Sohra so they pronounce it Cherra. The name evolved into Cherrapunjee meaning 'land of oranges'. Cherrapunji has been marketised alot for far too long now. Government had changed name officially to Sohra by putting roadside direction boards in local name. But tourists are used to the other name because of what they read in schools and magazines. Only effective way is to change name to Sohra in school textbooks.

Honestly,your cinematic shot is really worth it. 5:35- That's nice, you make a crown with leaves, 😋 Finally, David Scott the place is quite beautiful..... Radhika you made an amazing vlog!!! Aug, 2019 I along with my group of friends been to that place and the homestay belongs to my friend's uncle and therefore our whole journey became quite cheap. Also, I am glad that you visited rainbow falls because most of the tourists or bloggers don't, but whoever reading this and planning to visit Nongriat village, I am telling you guys, you will definitely feel calm and relaxed and whatnot. Tip: While going downstairs, you'll get locals selling bamboo sticks for 10-20 bucks. Do take it, it will definitely help you. I am staying in Shillong for more than 4 years and every day feels different and beautiful. :)

Beautiful vlog . Cherapunji is actually a distorted name of the Britishers. As much as I enjoyed the video but with due respect as a localite the name is more often locally called as Sohra. Please put note to that before putting out names in a social media platform because it could hurt the sentiments of the people here . Thanks again for showing how truly amazing the place is !

Yes veg is available :) I find monsoon to be the best time because it is very green, rain do not bother me haha but to be on a safer side go in September

Great video. When I went to living root bridge last week I never came across those 2 man made bridges. We just saw stairs and some more stairs. Also since I went in October I didn't see a lot of water at any waterfall. Seven sisters for example was completely dry 😐
Hello Radhika Very nice and helpful series for Meghalaya. Would you recommend visiting there in April end ? I mean thats not monsoon season, will i miss out on greenery as i see in your video and the waterfall might not be in their full glory ?
