I believe that Megan experienced racism; however, what she could not handle was the intense scrutiny and trolls she would have. I believe that although Megan is biracial, she is a white presenting person and if you research her social group, she has nothing but white friendships. Miss me with Ciara and Serena, that probably occurred after Harry and it’s for optics. She probably for the first time in her life experienced being “black”. And if that experience is finally happening under such a microscope and having no support from the family, and your own family are idiots, that would mess with the mental health for any person. It was really an interview that we didn’t need after watching it.

Meghan may have known who the royal family was but certainly not the institution and the full extent of their power. It’s important to make the distinction between the family and the machine behind it. Also, my son’s dad is biracial and during my pregnancy there were discussions about my son’s potential complexion by his family. Trust me when I say these things happen in 2021.

I believe it’s okay to feel for her and people who are fully black who experience racism. I’m not going to dismiss Megan’s feelings because she’s on the lighter side that’s not fair. I don’t think we need to compare who has it harder. People are saying the baby is white, but he hasn’t been treated as white and neither has Megan. Do they have some privileges? Yes but not enough to be considered white by the royals.

The issue of genetics is very complex, look at Drake’s son point in case. Drake is biracial but leans more towards the “black” end of the spectrum, in terms of his features. However, his son came out looking like the spitting image of drake’s mother ( blonde hair and blue eyes) despite the fact that neither drake nor his baby mama have these features

The family worried about the baby skin might not make sense to you but you’re looking at things from prospective as us “blacks”. I think for a white person, any ounce of black is still black to them. Also when it comes to genetics it can get complicated and a brown skin child though it’s a small chance, it is still possible. When people are racist, everything close to black bothers them.

From my own experience, once white people know I am part black, I am referred to as “black” or “African American” rarely multi-racial, bi-racial, or quadrune (never been called this lol). You can see this with mainstream tv as well, I.e. Obama and others. However, my experience with black people have been different and they often recognize my mixed-ness 😂. I think it goes back to the “one drop rule” from back in the day. I can especially believe the royals referred to her as black (and treated her as such) because THEY INVENTED those colorist troupes. Also, keep in mind, the Queen accepted their union, that doesn’t mean the rest of the family did.

The one drop rule is what makes American Black people look at anyone with any *known* African lineage as just being Black and not bi-racial. Just because a person is light skinned and black does not mean the child will be light skinned. I do not think Meghan Markle was lying on that. Her mother is brown skinned. The baby could have came out brown. Depends on the mixing with the gene pool and DNA.

My grandmother called herself an "octaroon", she lived to be 102. She looked like a little white woman her entire life. The difference between her identifying herself as white or black was HER choice to recognize her black heritage. MM has never really dealt with racism on this level because she only identified as a "black" woman in the presence of her mother. Other than that she's just passed, let's be honest. Harry was allowed to marry her because he won't be king, bottomline. At the end of the day, neither of them were prepared for the reality of living as a black person (or being in a black family) in this world especially, in the U.S. and U.K. Harry thought his privilege would keep them from dealing with race issues. He most definitely thought the racism would not be extended to his children. Let alone not be given titles as are, their birthright. Harry's children are not entitled to a title because they are the great-grandchildren of the Queen and not in succession. However, when Charles takes the throne, they will be guaranteed the title of HRH or Prince/Princess as the grandchildren of the new King. If the Crown skips Charles and goes straight to William then, they still will not be entitled to the titles. This is some bs either way you look at it.

It does not matter what the parents phenotypically look like. That's not how genetics work. A child with a parent who has any african DNA can come out darker than both parents. Genes skip depending on what's dominant in each of the strands of DNA in each parent. It can skip several generations.
