I always go barefoot at home. I live in a place that gets cold in the winter so I may wear slippers. I am also a hugger but it would never occur to me to hug someone I just met.

I was born and raised in Germany and I've been married to my African American hubby for 21 yrs now. When I first came to the USA to meet his family, there was a awareness of our different culture and upbringing, so I asked my hubby everything I needed to know on how his family operates. I've learned as much as I could to make a good impression, so I would be respectful and thoughtful. His family wasn't royal, but I still cared enough not to step out of line and Meghan makes it seem like she had no knowledge on anything about the RF. It's the Royal Family for crying out loud, how could you not get enough info out of your man on protocol, on what to do and say in formal and private settings? Harry obviously didn't cate enough to show Meghan the ropes and it was his duty, his job and it could've saved them a lot of mishaps, a lot of clashes and misunderstandings. I don't get how these 2 operate 🤔 I just watched the first episode and I am done tbh. The amount of hate H and M get online is a strong indication that there is a paid campaign against them. I’ve never seen such an unnatural quantity of praise of Kate and Will even far more than for Queen Elisabeth who deserves more praise. I'm an American and I know that if I ever meet Prince William and Princess Catherine that I need to wear a formal dress, nice, clean shoes, hair looking nice, and to never, ever hug a royal. Cursty first, and only shake hands if he or she extends/offers his or her hand for a handshake. Also when visiting another country, (or even another state within the U.S. for that matter) it's wise to know the do's and don'ts before you visit so you're not perceived as rude. First impressions are so important in building good relationships, both foreign and domestic. As an actress who travels a lot, you'd think Megan would know this already from either common sense, college, or her publicist, or manager. And as a royal himself Harry should absolutely 💯 already know this.

Being Austrian I didn’t even get the whole fuss about Kate not being a hugger. I don’t think I’ve ever hugged my sister in law. In most of the Western European countries, hugging a stranger is not really a thing. I think the whole documentary is targeted towards Americans, but I don’t think even they are buying her story.

What's wrong with being expected to dress appropriately? To have manners and a certain level of formality during the first meeting? To learn to be civil and cordial even if you don't always agree with the other person? What happened to all that? More than that who recollects every meeting and just make random statements for television. You so totally right about that… I don’t think too many people noticed that but I certainly did too…Earlier on, in her relationship with Harry… she often glanced at William…trying to get him to look at her… I bet she would have love to break that relationship…But William was wise to her ways…
